Extremely expensive
Extremely expensive. Cost almost twice as much as other taxi in the area. Driver had no idea where he was going! Had to tell him 3 times which lane he needed to be in, even then he swerved at last minute on a roundabout, had tell him again he was going the wrong way! Never again!

Driver refused my destination and falsely accused me
Ordered an uber at around 1am after a long day at work to get home. The driver chose a completely different route than usually in which a road was blocked. He refused to go around, got angry with me, so I had the get out of the car in the middle of the night and walk home. I was scared to argue with this guy so I just accepted the fact that I need to leave the car.
I got in touch with the customer service, they apologized and returned the money.
Couple of days later I receive a message from the customer service that the driver has filed a report AGAINST ME of verbal altercation (when in reality, I didn’t say a single word to him nor did I argue) and mentioned that if this happens again, my uber profile will be deleted. Absolutely ridiculous. Never seen customer service accusing their customers like this, especially in a situation where I felt fully unsafe and scared.

left my phone in a taxi ... uber have said the driver dose have my phone however they will not give me any contact details for the driver and have said the driver will contact me within 48 hours. it has now been 3 days without any contact from the driver and there office is refusing to give me any way to contact the driver and get my phone. I have now had to report the issue to the local police service to get them to retrieve my phone. this has resulted in me losing a lot of work and as far as uber are conserned they dont seem to care at all about this issue. i feel disgusted in there service however hopfully the police will be able to recover my phone. time will tell

Not the price that was quoted
After ordering an Uber car to bring us home was quoted £107 which was fine. Driver was lovely. Car was clean when the money came to come out of the account. It was 157 have complained to the company. They just said that the ride took longer than anticipated, i.e. traffic surely the traffic is not down to the customer Discussed it with this rip-off company. I Think they have stolen money of customers by doing it this way would never recommend or use uber again ever.

I've used Uber, on an occasional basis (it not being available in my home town) for a couple of years.
I was in Glasgow a little over a week ago and made an Uber trip from the South side into town.
The trip was well overpriced, but it was a busy time....so be it.
A few days later I noticed a charge of £5.11 on my credit card from Uber (as well as the hefty charge for the journey I did make).
It stated the charge was for a cancellation fee.
I had not cancelled any trip so I queried this.
I was advised that "because the charge related to a cancellation more than 30 days ago it could not be challenged".
This obviously bemused me further.
I telephoned Uber, when I could eventually get through, and spoke to someone with a perfunctory grasp of English.
I asked for details of the cancelled trip for which I had been charged.
The woman I spoke to advised that "as the trip was more than six months ago we cannot give any details"!!!!!
After a torturous, lengthy phone call this woman eventually agreed to refund the cash "as a goodwill gesture".
Since then, no funds have been received and I have received a number of emails which were impossible to understand.
The impart of which was that no refund would be forthcoming.
I have not called again, I will simply contact my credit card company.
Unbelievable.
Wrong pick up
Ordered a taxi for outside supermarket waited ages for it. Never came to right location and then they cancelled it and tried to charge me for them not getting right location. Will never use again and used them alot. Shambles
Uber nearly doubled the price for a 6 minute detour
Booked an uber home on Friday night with 3 friends. We thought we had added each address but on the way we discovered something had gone wrong and it had the second address twice. Anyway the driver dropped the first person off and he added it to the app for us. It then put the price up from £23 to £41. There was nothing we could do at this point. He said to take it up with uber as it shouldn't have cost that much. It was on the route and was 6 minutes from the next drop off so hardly a huge detour. I've messaged uber but am not getting anywhere. It's totally unreasonable and has put me off using them again, never had an issue until now.
