Would rate negative stars if possible
Would rate negative stars if possible - the exchange rates are almost criminal (can be 35-40% below market) and you are often rushed to exchange, with no chance of going back once you go through.
Very competitive rate offer by Kaushal…
Very competitive rate offer by Kaushal at Gatwick airport

Kaushal offered me Excellent customer service and advised me very well at gatwick airport.
Scammed
Scammed, they’re the worst rip off company ever gave me 3600 Egyptian pounds for £100 uk I should have got over 6100 it’s gotta be illegal and an ombudsman should investigate them.
Unbelievable
My wife had to make a last minute visit to Canada for family reasons and used ChangeGroup at Gatwick. In exchange for £200 they gave her 270 Canadian Dollars. Today, 10 days later, I checked XE currency convertor and see with the current exchange rate she should have received almost 360 Canadian Dollars!! This is totally exploitative in my opinion ... Be warned
If you see this logo run a mile
If you see this logo run a mile! These morally iniquitous scumbags completely make up an exchange rate that bears no relation to reality... Fleeced me for around £40 on a 200 Euro withdrawal. I'm annoyed that I had to give it a star!
RIP OFF
RIP OFF: My daughter, who is under 17 years old, went to the 147 Oxford str branch only to inquire details. She was given the brochure and before she had a chance to read the posted terms and rates, the cashier asked to see the money. She handed 250 euros thinking she was simply showing them. Without her consent, the cashier proceeded with a transaction giving back 145 pounds. My daughter had not given any consent, she had just given the money to be checked. When my daughter objected and asked the money back, the cashier refused. THIS IS AN OFFICIAL RIP OFF. We called the police but they never arrived. These people and the whole company should be put in JAIL. Surprised they still operate...
' 0% commission ' Don't be fooled.
The 0% commission sign misled me to understand that withdrawing 300 EUROS from my Credit Agricole euro bank account would cost 300 euros like a normal 0% commission ATM. Instead they applied a grievous exchange rate so withdrawing 300euros cost 387 euros.
The worst place to do money exchange
The worst place to do money exchange, absolutely they rip you off. They show you all their hidden charges and rate of exchange after transaction so you have no remedy. Just go to any bank ATM and you would get a better deal.
NEVER AGAIN
NOT CLEAR OR FAIR AND DEFINITELY…
NOT CLEAR OR FAIR AND DEFINITELY MISLEADING.
Purchased 600 MAD from the Stansted London airport stand. When we asked her advice on purchasing MAD she said, "it's a restricted currency so the price is the price". This lead us to believe that the rate is the same anywhere. We asked for £100 of MAD. She gave us £91 of MAD. We subsequently with our Marrakech hotel about rates and realised that the Change Group staff member sold us 600 MAD ( worth about £49) for nearly double the price?!
I raised a formal complaint two weeks ago and no reply. Shocking. Will keep trying.
1 Star reviews are from people…
1 Star reviews are from people exchanging at the airport, unorganised 🤣
They offer the best exchange rate i could find if you pre book collection, pay on the day.
Ive ordered 1 week before my holiday and the rate is better than the post office where to even get that rate you have to swap over £1000!
DO NOT USE CHANGE GROUP!!!
DO NOT USE CHANGE GROUP!!!
Disgraceful rates. I was changing pounds for Turkish liras so had no idea what I was going to receive back. It was only at the end of holiday i realised I’d paid £524 for the equivalent of £375.00.
This is daylight robbery.
Absolute robbery
Absolute robbery. I can't understand how EMA agreed this company to operate in the airport. For £170 get €145. Avoid using this service
Kaushal at Gatwick AirPort its a good…
Kaushal at Gatwick AirPort its a good man
They tried to rip me off at the Change Money Gatwick
I just tried ( at 21:40pm Sunday 5th Oct. 2025) to exchange £175 for euros and the guy behind the counter counted the banknotes wrongly. I had to make him count again and then he offered me €165 which is wrong again since the change from pounds to euros would be about €200.
He should be fired!
Avoid exchanging money at ChangeGroup…
Avoid exchanging money at ChangeGroup Gatwick!
I exchanged Moroccan Dirhams here in Sept 2025 and received £155 for 1,100 MAD, which works out to 1 GBP = 7.05 MAD, when the real rate was about 12 MAD.
When challenged, they admitted they use very high margins (20%+ before profit) and “cannot come close” to normal exchange rates.
Much better to order online, use a high street bureau, or withdraw cash abroad. Airport exchange = rip-off.
Worst exchange rate -RIP off Worst experience
Worst experience ! Worst exchange rate
100 euros for 124 pounds - Normal exchange rate at 86 pounds for 100 euros on the day ! Big rip off , I wonder why they are being let operative if such huge extortion charges are being levied ! And being advertising FREE ATM withdrawals but with even worse exchange rate . Change group is fraud
Money grubbing thieves
Money grubbing thieves. Gave me £100 worth of Moroccan Dirham for £200. Unscrupulous people who take advantage of unsuspecting holiday makers. Amazing Gatwick allow them to operate at all.
Don't use this company!
Don't use this company.
Rip off merchants.
Don't know how they are allowed to function.
Charge sky high rates that are unheard of!
I guess lots of people get caught out as they are not careful when going on holidays.
I used the ATM at the Stantead airport
I used the ATM at the Stantead airport; my issue is that I did not exchange money with them. I withdrew euros directly from my Wise (TransferWise) account — funds I already held in euros. Despite this, they charged me an additional €100 for an exhange!
I have contacted ChangeGroup regarding this overcharge but have not received any response
