Never received item ordered. Customer care was appalling and was made to wait nearly a month before they finally stopped sending me delivery updates even though the courier had already said that there was no delivery scheduled at all on their systems. Had to wait 2 months for a refund. Will never use this place again.

A good ladder suitable for VW Transporter based campervans
Ordered a 'California' type ladder to access the bed in the pop up roof of our VW campervan. This is a 2 piece ladder, which slots together. The top half is rigid and has fixings at the top, which might grip a corresponding ridge in a California, but sits firmly against the van roof in ours. The rungs on the bottom half are so fixed to allow the feet of the ladder to rest securely on an uneven surface, eg floor one side and a fitting on the other. The ladder didn't slide when I climbed. It's just long enough to position behind the front seat bases to rest on the front of the van's original roof. It comes in its own bag, with 2 cloth protectors for the ends of the ladder. All nicely made in Malta, apparently!

The worst customer service
I ordered a self-inflating mattress for an upcoming trip. The courier screwed up, failed to deliver to their own parcel shop, I then got a message saying the parcel was being returned to the seller. So, I cancelled the order - within the statutory cooling off period and in writing. That was nearly a month ago. UK Camping and Leisure continue to insist they cannot give a refund until the item has been received by them. It left the parcel shop 2 weeks ago. Today they sent some garbled response to yet another follow up email giving an incomprehensible 'excuse' and saying 'meanwhile if the item does arrive and you decide you don't want it...'. And they still refuse to refund and continue to give me the runaround. The very worst.
