Booking on line took order and…

Booking on line took order and confirmed the window screen replacement for this Tuesday, arranged to travel and take time from work only to get an email today to say can not be done until next week. Terrible service (or lack of service)

You're right to be annoyed — arranging time off work only to have the date moved is exactly the kind of letdown we want to avoid, and we should have flagged the possibility of a change sooner than we did.

You booked over the weekend, and with our fitting team offline until Monday we couldn't confirm technician availability any earlier.

The team in your area was stretched and the soonest we could fit was the following week, which we let you know as soon as we'd heard back.

When a booking is placed online, the chosen day is shown as a preferred date — our quote pages read "from" — and your order acknowledgement set out that the date stays pending while we run a parts check, confirm stock and assign a local technician, after which we confirm.

I'm sorry it didn't work out on this occasion, and we'd genuinely welcome the chance to help should you need us in future.

Misleading pricing practice

I submitted the details of my vehicle including license plate (from which they can get the VIN) and was given a quote for a replacement windscreen with calibration and home installation. It was a good price compared to competitors and the technician would have been able to repair at home. I accepted the quote and made payment for £889.11, and waited for the confirmation of date and time of installment. 18 hours later I received a call saying that a technician would be able to come out tomorrow to install, however the price quoted was incorrect and in fact it would be £200 more expensive as they got the windscreen part number wrong. Very annoying and potentially misleading pricing practice. I told them to recredit my card and that I would look elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I'm sorry we let you down here.

You're right — the price you were quoted was incorrect. The error stemmed from a discrepancy between two of our glass suppliers, where one priced your specific windscreen significantly higher than the other, and this wasn't caught before your quote was confirmed.

That's on us, and I completely understand your frustration, especially as you had set aside time and were ready to proceed.

As soon as you asked, we cancelled the booking and initiated a full refund of £889.11 the same morning.

We've since updated our pricing on Tesla windscreens and are reviewing how supplier price differences are handled before quotes go out, so this doesn't happen to another customer.

We're also making it clearer on our website which vehicles with camera-based systems may require a workshop appointment rather than a mobile fitting.

I'm sorry we didn't get the chance to put this right for you, and I wish you all the best with your repair.

Two chaps turned up to replace…

Two chaps turned up to replace windscreen. Very curtius and informative. Did a great job .no damage to the car which I've had with other company's in the past..great information from the start buy there team.highly recommend uk car glass

Excellent

Arrived on time, took a little bit longer to replace the rear window on a corsa hatchback but the work was excellent and all the broken glass was retrieved and disposed of. The guy from UK glass was very thorough and I would recommend this company should you need any car windows/windscreens replacing.

Fantastic booking experience thanks to Jackie. £240 less than a qoute from a well know company who said could not do it at my house despite accepting a booking.
Technician called 10 minutes before arrival and did a great job. Highly recommend.
