I would personally avoid

I would personally avoid. They lul you in with a complicated qualification process. Then manually re quote with a higher price. Then Kayla called me with a quote triple the online quotation immediately on the offensive trying to blame I hadn’t described my car correctly. Just a simple reg number should find the right screen, but that wasn’t the case for me. It seems they definitely have an upsell angle. Very disappointed with the confrontational call after.

We always perform a parts check on new orders to ensure the windscreen selected online matches the one currently on your car.

I’ve just recreated the booking process, and if you choose “no” for a heated windscreen, the quoted price is £514.90. However, the parts check we conducted (which I’ll email you shortly) shows your Jaguar has the following features: acoustic (noise reduction), green tint, defogging detector, heated windscreen, rain sensor, and VIN notch.

The correct windscreen for your car is therefore priced at £1,405.80.

We understand it can be challenging to identify all the features of your windscreen, which is why we offer to verify them manually if you reach out beforehand.

We’re not trying to upsell you; we simply want to ensure we fit the correct glass to your vehicle.

From start to finish absolutely…

From start to finish absolutely brilliant service. I contacted via a quote on line. Got a very quick response, then I emailed a query and they got back to me straight away. I booked on line on Monday and had a technician on Tuesday.

Ben was brilliant, told me he was coming between 2.30pm and 3.30pm, arrived on time, was friendly, explained everything he had to do, worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the work at the end, got me to check it all worked correctly and inspect his work. I could not be happier with the service from the first contact to the completion - thoroughly recommend.

Very professional, highly recommend

The guys actually fitting my windscreen were brilliant - friendly, professional and informative. However, my booking process was a bit bumpy, as I was given the choice of any day to pick my fitting, but then received a text saying I couldn’t do that day. Then we agreed a date but I had to phone up to find out the specific time.

windscreen replaced

Company replaced windscreen through a subcontractor when they said they would.

Whenever I emailed or phoned the staff were polite and responded quickly and phoned back with an answer within 30mins

Excellent service, would recommend.

Engineer arrived on time and was lovely! Explained the process step by step and finished in about 1 hour.
The whole process, from submitting my request online to completion of the work was easy and pain free.

Every step of the way I was given…

Every step of the way I was given updates and progress by Paul the operations manager . He listened to me and was willing to do the requests although my back window was not easy to find he found it and efficiently managed the situation and most importantly did the job, saving my car which according to the insurance needed writing off. I can only thankyou so much for your efforts and thank UkCarglass so much for your hard work.

Every aspect was excellent apart from…

Every aspect was excellent apart from the order. I received a phone call asking for a further £70+ because I hadn’t declared that my screen had a rain sensor. I retried the transaction online several times and definitely had declared the sensor, it’s a problem with the software as I tried the transaction in both ways (with and without the sensor) the price was the same in each case. The chap fitting the windscreen was absolutely first class.

You’re right: despite indicating “yes” for the rain sensor, the system still directs you to a non-rain sensor option if you select “no” for the heads-up display.

I understand this can be frustrating, and I have asked our product team to look into the glitch.

We do our best to present the correct price, and in most cases, we succeed. However, we ultimately rely on the parts check from your vehicle’s VIN, which provides around 99% accuracy compared with our system’s 90%.

Your feedback is critical, as we can’t always spot these issues ourselves.
