Do NOT trust UniAcco. They are an completely untrustworthy company that functions on stalling tactics, broken promises, and manipulative behavior to steal student money.

They have held my £99 deposit hostage for nearly a year, lying to me repeatedly, and actively trying to blackmail me into removing my honest negative reviews so they can start the process of giving me my money back. They are hoping you will get exhausted and forget about your money.
Save yourself the stress and find an authentic, honest business instead!

The Timeline of Their Lies:
The Initial Cancellation & Empty Promises:
Nearly a year ago, I cancelled a room booking at Haddington Place before signing any contract. I paid a £99 deposit through UniAcco. I was explicitly assured by management that my cancellation was processed and that my refund would be returned to my account within 28 days.

The 6-Month Stall Tactics:
The 28 days came and went with absolutely nothing. For nearly six months, they dragged their feet. When I pressed them, they suddenly changed their story, claiming I now needed to fill out a formal "refund application" and wait another 3 weeks.

Exploiting Personal Circumstances:
During this exhausting process, I had to undergo surgery. Naturally, I got incredibly busy focusing on my health and recovery, which caused me to forget to keep chasing them temporarily. UniAcco clearly counted on this, using it as an opportunity to let the issue slide and keep my money.

Review Blackmail & Manipulation:
Once I realised what they were doing, I posted an honest review about my experience. That is when a Global Property Consultant from UniAcco named Moksh Punamiya got involved. (and he was the one that I was comunicating with from the start, and he seemed really trust worthy at the beginning)

Moksh explicitly asked me to delete my previous review, promising that then they would finally return my money. It was a complete lie.

It was just another stalling tactic to get their rating cleaned up while leaving me empty-handed.

It has now been a full year. I have received absolutely zero pounds back. My inbox is filled with nothing but back-and-forth emails where they try to convince me to remove my honest reviews while offering zero actual resolution.

They are scammers who prey on students, hoping life gets in the way so you'll forget about the money they stole. Stay far away from UniAcco!

I hope this review will save other students from similar experiences.

SCAMMERS DO NOT BOOK They lied about cash back and they will not pay you, they don’t reply to emails or answer your call. When you try get cash back they will ask you for proof that they promised this when that is their responsibility to uphold the promise.

Their response time post payment is very bad. They take a lot of time to do the documentation part.

They are relentless, harassing you consistently even when you request to be removed from the mailing list. Based off my limited correspondence with them, I would not trust them in the slightest. Between contacting you on personal mobile numbers to just a lack of response when you wish to opt out, it was far easier for me to find accommodation independently!

We worst experience ever with uni acco I suggest you guys to go with amber or something other student accommodation agent. Being very rude and changing the deposit amount and always changing the words . They are being polite until we make the booking.

They are Highly fraud accomodation providers !
They will promise you fake cashback just to finalise the deal. I took accommodation with their referral. They said i will get cashback of £300-£350 after my 3rd installment at Accommodation. When i contacted later, they said we stopped giving it now. They broke commitments, NEVER EVER TRUST THEM.
Plus if anything goes wrong with accomodation, they will never give you support. I have suffered so much.
Their reviews are fake, do not rely on them.
Go for other trusted agencies.

They are a really bad provider for accommodations. Their system is off. Their communication is horrendous and you'll likely pay before hearing back from them. My experience was that the price they listed was different to what it actually is. And after paying the deposit, they tell me the room is unavailable.

Stop calling me. let me do my research in peace. I've not made an application. i know how to work the internet. i know how to look at properties.

This company is a scam. Do not use them under any circumstances. The service is bad, the advisors are incompetent. They will promise to pay you cashback but you will never actually receive it. They will come up with all sort of excuses to deflect from their contractual obligations. I have lodged a complaint with the authorities about them.

Prem was my advisor and did a great job guiding me and my friends when trying to book our accommodation for second year. Very patient and informing.

7 months gone still chasing my £50 refund and £100.00 promised cash back, I have several messages that it will be paid but no joy and now they are telling me it’s closed as it’s a new financial year. Off to Financial Ombudsman to get there help clear evidence off miss selling. Beware !!!!

They are the biggest scammers of all time. Offering students cashback and then when its time to stand on their words they ignore messages, emails and calls. Left me hanging multiple times once i asked about this issue.

Beware of this company, I had booked an accommodation through them but they had failed to tell me the exact price and the frequency of instalments. I then cancelled within the cooling off period and they told me I would receive my refund of the deposit. The deposit never arrived and I had to chase them for more than 2 months. They constantly gave false promises. I then requested for a charge back from my bank provider which was successful. There is a lot of videos on TikTok about this company in which they have defrauded many students and have failed to provide their money back. They will help you when it comes to having your money but when it comes to give your money back, they will ignore you- beware of these scammers, I also found out they operate in India and not in the UK

Uniacco was truly amazing. They reply swiftly and that is just wonderful for me as a panicker lol, and honest too. There was a time that I contacted them at a late hour but was surprised to get a response almost immediately. Traveling from your home country to another can be overwhelming and Uniacco made getting an accommodation so easy I felt pampered. Thank you so much Uniacco.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my experience with UniAcco, I genuinely do not want future students to go through what I experienced.

In August 2025, I booked accommodation at Canvas City Point through UniAcco after being clearly promised a £250 cashback by their representative, Karan. I have screenshots and written proof confirming this offer.

Since then, I have sent over 20 emails, had multiple calls with different representatives, and repeatedly followed up for months. Every time, I was either told the matter was being escalated, someone else would contact me, or that the concerned employee had left the company.

After months of waiting, I was suddenly told I would receive only £80 instead of the original £250. When I shared proof of the original agreement, my emails largely started getting ignored.

One of the representatives, Anuj, even disconnected the call while I was explaining the situation, which was extremely unprofessional.

I had also referred a friend through the same representative after being promised an additional £50 referral cashback/voucher, which was never received either.

It is now May 2026, and despite providing all proof, screenshots, booking confirmations, and repeated follow-ups, the issue is still unresolved.

What has disappointed me the most is not just the money, but the complete lack of accountability, communication, and resolution over several months.

My honest advice to future students: please be extremely careful before booking through UniAcco, especially if cashback or referral offers are involved. Make sure every commitment is formally documented and do not rely solely on verbal assurances.

UniAcco has been a wonderful and helpful experience, with consultants who reach out to you and help you every step of the way in a quick and responsive manner.

My experience with one of their Booking Managers: 'Janvi', helped me sort out my accommodation for the Second-Year easily where I was once in a pinch to find it.
