Do not by your accommodation through UniAcco.

Do not buy your student accommodation through UniAcco. Me and my partner were looking for an accommodation together and settled on Allen Court (44 week contract), which Sandhya Ayyangar helped us find. They told us this property was available and asked us to pay £200 in deposits and we signed guarantor agreements. After time, communication between us and UniAcco became minimal, our questions were not being answered and we were being left on either opened or delivered. Eventually, we told them we would withdraw our deposits if we did not receive tenancy agreements for the property we were promised. After UniAcco received this message, they told us that the 44 week contract they approached us with was never available in the first place. Essentially selling us a property that had no rooms left and that was no longer on the market, which they already knew at the beginning of the process when they persisted we buy it. Ultimately, they’re an unreliable and incompetent company who wasted our time and let us down throughout the situation after we put our trust and time into them. Please avoid using this company as what you’re being sold is not legit.

Cashback of £200 pending for over 6 months. Multiple follow-ups and even final notice sent, but no response or resolution. Property has confirmed it is not their responsibility. Extremely poor experience and lack of accountability.

UniAcco is a scam website

UniAcco is a scam website. Sandhya Ayyangar from UniAcco meaasged me on WhatsApp after I enquired about accomidation on their website. She showed me multiple accomidations and we settled on Allen Court. I paid a deposit for a 44-week contract on a prestige studio. They later requested another deposit as we were doing dual occupancy with my girlfriend, so we ended up giving them £200 in deposits. After weeks of hastle and waiting we still didn't have booking confirmation or tenancy agreements after my parents filled all the guarantor paperwork. Sandya then messaged me saying there were no 44-week contracts available after we have already given them the deposits for a room. When I asked them to sort this out or refund me, they stopped opening my messages. I had to call my bank to refund my deposits. This is a scam company.

Contacted me for information, then went no contact

I had gotten a great service from them in 2025. However, one month ago I reached out to them for another accomodation. Moksh called me, telling me about the discounts and cashbacks they can manage for me. Then I filled out a form, answered some of his questions. After that, he just went no contact. I tried texting him for information but he never replied. That was disappointing.

So here is the thing i had booked an accommodation in Uk Sheffield , the name of the accommodation was Nebula student accommodation, i had booked this accommodation in jan 2025 and i had paid 50 pounds as a reservation deposit to Uniacco and was promised by their employee Mr Kaushik the deposit will be refunded by end of the contract which ended in august 2025 . Since then they never bothered to refund the reservation deposit and none of the employees had the things to call back in Feb 2026 i mailed them and sinced then they were like it will be refunded in 7-10 business days but its almost March end that i haven't received the refund . They provide you with pathetic service. The employees of theirs Mr Kaushik always keeps people on waiting and never responds on time . I would rather suggest everybody else to not book through them and also i think they should shut the company down. Very poor service

I booked my accommodation for 2025 last…

I booked my accommodation for 2025 last year in January. They took an token amount for confirmation the accommodation for me and which their agent “Kaushik” mentioned that he did the same. But few days before flying he said its not confirmed. And the money was taken to do so and he promised that he will get it refunded after the accommodation contract is over its been a year since he has not bothered to contact and not he has responded my calls or messages. I paid 50 pounds and it is a big amount as a student. I would really recommend do not go to Uniacco worst customer service and not at all professional. Would recommend them to shut the company.

Cash-back FRAUD

I was clearly promised £700 cashback by the agent when booking my accommodation, but despite more than a year of continuous follow-ups, I have not received payment.

After moving in, I repeatedly contacted them and was always told to “wait.” I provided full proof of the cashback offer, and on 12 August 2025, they even confirmed in writing that the payment was in its final stages. Despite this, nothing was processed.

Now they are refusing to pay, giving excuses like the financial year has passed, which is completely unacceptable and has nothing to do with me. I have been chasing this for over a year while managing my studies in the UK, causing unnecessary stress and frustration.

This feels like a deliberate tactic to delay until they can avoid paying altogether. Making false promises to attract customers and then failing to honor them is extremely misleading and unprofessional.

I would strongly warn others not to trust cashback offers from this company. Very poor service and highly disappointing experience.

Feels Misleading and Untrustworthy

I would strongly advise against using UniAcco based on my experience.

I was promised a £150 cashback, which was confirmed by their team, along with a stated timeline of 20–30 working days. However, it has now been significantly longer, and I have still not received any payment.

The process feels deliberately slow and unnecessarily complicated. Despite this being a standard cashback procedure, they repeatedly request additional confirmations and information, as if they are unaware of their own internal processes.

What is most frustrating is that they initially present the cashback as something automatic and easy, requiring no effort from the customer. In reality, you end up waiting for months and having to chase them constantly just to receive money that was already promised.

Overall, this experience gives the impression of a company that delays payments as much as possible and does not prioritise honoring its commitments.

I would not recommend their services.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with UniAcco.

I paid £100.71 for a deposit and booking fees over a month ago, but the accommodation provider has confirmed they have not received any deposit under my name. My booking portal still shows the deposit as unpaid.

When I contacted UniAcco, they provided a screenshot of a £99 bank transfer. However, this did not include my name or booking reference, so there is no clear evidence that the payment was actually allocated to my booking.

Despite this, they have refused to issue a refund or provide proper proof that the deposit was correctly processed, as they keep saying the deposit has been paid.

As a result, I am now stuck between the agent and the accommodation provider, with neither taking responsibility for resolving the issue.

Booking via an agent is supposed to make your experience smoother and less stressful, however my experience has been the total opposite as I have been the one that has had to try and resolve their issue by constantly contacting the property, like I am a messenger for them.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious when using UniAcco, as my experience has been stressful and unresolved.

Complete scam

I was looking for accommodation in Cork, Ireland for my study period from September 2026 to January 2027 together with a friend, as we specifically wanted to stay in the same place.

My experience with Uniacco was extremely frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish.

I clearly stated a maximum budget of €800 per month, yet I was repeatedly sent completely unsuitable options — either overpriced or accommodations I had already found and rejected myself. It felt like no real effort was made to actually listen to my requirements.

Eventually, I found a perfect accommodation myself that suited both me and my friend. When I contacted Uniacco, Vaishnavi told me this could be arranged, but that I would have to wait about a month for the paperwork. Despite the delays, both me and my friend were required to pay €100 each.

After waiting a month, I discovered the contract was for 50 weeks, while I only needed around 20 weeks. When I questioned this, I was explicitly reassured that this would not be a problem and that everything would be fine.

Then, after another long period of poor communication and delays, I was suddenly asked again if I was okay with a 50-week contract. When I said no — as I had already clearly stated before — I was told that it was not possible and that I had to find another accommodation.

This is completely unacceptable.
Not only did I waste a significant amount of time due to their incompetence, lack of communication, and false assurances, but both me and my friend also paid €100 each for a service that ultimately delivered nothing. The entire process felt disorganized, misleading, and frankly like a waste of money.

Based on my experience with Uniacco — and specifically with Vaishnavi — I strongly advise others not to rely on their service, especially if you have specific requirements or limited time. It will likely cost you both time and money.
