The dpd courier service is pathetic. Ordered shoes on 26/7/26 and till date parcel not received.

I visited the York store today and was given excellent help and advice by Barbara and Mark. I have post surgery chronic foot problems and their advice was invaluable.
I was seeking a trainer with a very roomy toe box and with their help, I have bought a pair of Altra Womens Lone Peak 9 Goretex shoes.

Richard served me. He was patient, knowledgeable and polite. He got me to try a few pairs of shoes before I settled on two pairs! I only came in for a replacement of my current shoe! The service was excellent and would return for more shoes.

I first went to Up and Running over 10 years ago when I did the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon and the really looked after me. Fast forward to 2026 and I’m preparing for the Great North Run and Athens Marathon one after the other.

Daunting but yet again I knew where I had to go. So I travelled up from London just to see them again. Definitely recommend them.

The care, the service - they really focus on the customer and care about you. It’s not just sales. They are a family. Sammy and Rob really looked after me, reassured me on my two visits. They did not stop until I found the right shoe.

They encouraged me and showed a real interest. Not only did they advise on shoes but also gave me tips on my training and things to help the journey and to try and find out what’s right for me. Whilst the new running shoes meant the s@%t got real, I came out smiling, encouraged, motivated and excited.

Thanks again Up & Running Nottingham and massive shout out and thanks to Rob and Sam. Will let you know how I get on 🫶🏾. If you need new running shoes this is the place I would say you go.

Need a new pair of running shoes, good choice and expert advice, didn’t feel like they were trying to sell the more expensive, more focused on what was right.

All I need to say is if you’re in the Milton Keynes area see Jess. My goodness she knows her stuff! My fitting consisted of 8 pairs of shoes, she took me through every technical detail - support, cushioning, weight, mid sole and front sole materials to name a few. So patient, listens to feedback and makes her next selection on that. This is my 3rd fitting at this store and will never go anywhere else. Head office - give this employee some kind of recognition. She is an absolute credit to your business and wonderful human. Thank you so much Jess. Really excited to use my new brooks trainers and carry on training for the Manchester Marathon in April.

Staff were incredibly informative, patient and friendly.

They measured my gait and allowed me to try on a wide range of shoes to find the one which suited me.

Popped in on the advice of a friend and now i know why they highly recommended Up & Running Shrewsbury.

I’m not a runner but wanted advice on some foot ware for walking and using on a treadmill. Superb service from very knowledgable staff, nothing was too much trouble and I came away with a super comfortable pair of running shoes. That’s it really they deliver exactly what they advertise, I’m off for a power walk.

I am very happy with the service received. I ordered trainers on Thursday evening and they arrived Saturday using standard delivery.

Max at the Sheffield store was extremely patient and helpful. Guided me to a potential great shoe but didn’t have in stock. Trying other up and running stores for the size.

Staff were incredibly knowledgeable,I got to try on multiple different shoes, try them on their treadmill until I found the ones that’s best suited me.

Rob was great, very knowledgeable and no pressure to buy the more expensive trainers, really just wanted to get the best ones, spent about 45 minutes going over them all and was great.

Excellent, knowledgeable and courteous service from Richard at the Milton Keynes store.

Staff were really helpful. I needed anti pronator shoes for everyday wear, and I'm not at all a runner. I was shown plenty of options and given lots of time and assistance to decide which were right for me. There's two treadmills which you can try walking/running on where they can film you so you can see how you walk in them. Overall great experience and love my new shoes.

Rob was amazing! Went above and beyond making sure I got the ones that fit best. Even though I was quite particular with wanting a certain colour rob was very patient and gave me many options. I must’ve tried on 10/12 pairs. Very happy with the customer service received from rob and can confirm the trainers have been great! Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very good customer service, fantastic in store and over the phone when I ordered the wrong size. Shoes delivered quickly and as described. Fantastic to have this company on the high street.
