After seeing the excellent service my partner received whilst looking for new trainers, I thought I'd pay a visit. The gait analysis doesn't feel gimmicky; there's genuine knowledge as to what is going on with bones/joints/ligaments etc. I was able to try on, and run in the treadmill six different pairs of shoes. Thomas talked me through the pros and cons of each shoe, helped me determine that they were supportive in the right places and the fit was right. I'm not really a 'shopping' person and would much rather buy online, but it's service and businesses like this that keep me coming back to the high street. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Aaron was super helpful over a couple of visits to explore some trail runners. He had excellent knowledge of the stock, was patient while I tried a range of shoes, gave helpful advice but also gave me space to make my decision

I went to see Richard at the Milton Keynes store and he was fantastic and so knowledgable. He listened carefully, was patient and definitely knew what he was talking about! He identified that I needed more support within my trainers, and that’s exactly what I came away with in my new pair. Great service - thank you! ☺️

I visited the Nottingham store today and spoke to a very helpful Mark, who was massively knowledgeable and very friendly. I advised at the start of the conversation that I was not yet ready to buy, and just wanted my running gait checking. Mark still kindly gave me over half hour of his time and was not once rushed or pushy, only listening and giving superb advice. I have bought shoes from up & running previously, so I will be back when I need my next pair.

Easy and quick shipping/delivery, great shoes

Really good experience in the shop, served by Jake. This was my first time buying some proper running shoes and I was really impressed by the knowledge of which shoes would be best, and how my running form was assessed on the treadmill, plus Jake was really friendly and clearly a very experienced runner.

Me and my friend came in today and was gait fitted by Tom who was so friendly and helpful. Me and my friend were so impressed by how knowledgeable he was and he gave us so much advice for our training.

I went to the shop at milton keynes to get my first set of shoes to begin running. Marine, gave me a gate test and recommended what kind of shoes would help my incorrect foot placements. She then showed me different options and even found me a great pair of running shoes in black. I just finished my first session of running and I have no knee pain.

Visited Up & Running in Cambridge today to get my daughter some new road running shoes. Looked after by Jake who did a great job. He was totally across his brief, excellent product knowledge and obvious running experience. We could not have been looked after any better. Left with a great pair of new shoes and have found a store we will return to time and again. Thanks again Jake.

Lucy in the Nottingham branch was incredibly helpful, after using the gait analysis helped me find a very comfortable pair of running shoes for my next half marathon.

The dpd courier service is pathetic. Ordered shoes on 26/7/26 and till date parcel not received.

I visited the York store today and was given excellent help and advice by Barbara and Mark. I have post surgery chronic foot problems and their advice was invaluable.
I was seeking a trainer with a very roomy toe box and with their help, I have bought a pair of Altra Womens Lone Peak 9 Goretex shoes.

Richard served me. He was patient, knowledgeable and polite. He got me to try a few pairs of shoes before I settled on two pairs! I only came in for a replacement of my current shoe! The service was excellent and would return for more shoes.

All I need to say is if you’re in the Milton Keynes area see Jess. My goodness she knows her stuff! My fitting consisted of 8 pairs of shoes, she took me through every technical detail - support, cushioning, weight, mid sole and front sole materials to name a few. So patient, listens to feedback and makes her next selection on that. This is my 3rd fitting at this store and will never go anywhere else. Head office - give this employee some kind of recognition. She is an absolute credit to your business and wonderful human. Thank you so much Jess. Really excited to use my new brooks trainers and carry on training for the Manchester Marathon in April.

Popped in on the advice of a friend and now i know why they highly recommended Up & Running Shrewsbury.

I’m not a runner but wanted advice on some foot ware for walking and using on a treadmill. Superb service from very knowledgable staff, nothing was too much trouble and I came away with a super comfortable pair of running shoes. That’s it really they deliver exactly what they advertise, I’m off for a power walk.
