Total disaster
I want to share my frustration with UPS Malta.
To begin with, I had no choice of courier. My order was shipped from Liverpool and UPS was assigned automatically. Everything was smooth until the package arrived in Malta.
From that point on, nothing worked the way it should. No consistency, and no respect for agreed delivery timelines.
The package was supposed to arrive on 2 January. Instead, the tracking suddenly showed it as “Reschedule Delivery Requested” for an unclear reason, apparently they were unable to deliver it. I contacted UPS the same day and we agreed that I would collect the package on Tuesday on my way to the airport.
When I arrived in Luqa, I was told something completely different: the package was already out with a courier and was now in St Paul’s Bay, which is where I actually live.
In the office they tried to put the blame on me until they finally admitted that we had a call and an arrangement for collection.
However then they said they could not do anything about it. Every suggestion they made came down to one thing: I should travel back from Luqa to St Paul’s Bay at my own expense, roughly two hours before my flight.
Any attempt to calm the situation down or find a reasonable solution led to the same result. No way to receive the package for at least another ten days.
This is not just bad service. It is poor coordination, zero accountability, and a total lack of common sense.
Very disappointing experience with UPS Malta.
