Machines do not accept Maestro/Visa

Their machines do not accept Maestro or Visa cards, impossible to travel with public transport as a tourist. Had to leave tram, buy a sandwich with 50 to get change to travel. Welcome to the 20th century.

Update: We have tried inside the tram to pay with both maestro and visa (4 cards in total) and all failed.

Hello Gerben. Thank you for your review. At our ticket machines, you can pay with MasterCard, VISA and their two debit variants Maestro and VPay and cash.
