The light was good, shipping was protracted

The light was good, everything we wanted in both style and light output. The shipping time was much longer than initially estimated. Took 5 weeks to get our light.

The order took months to arrive and was defective. Company won't give refund

The order took months to arrive and arrived defective and missing parts. It is unusable. I am still fighting to get a refund (have offered to return it) with no luck so far. This website may be a scam?

After posting the above review with the companies reply below the company sent me an email again not providing a refund. I am pretty sure this is a scam at this point using ai bots to try any method to avoid actually issuing a refund, including offering to send another item from the website (i have asked for a refund at least 8 times now). So I believe the scam is that they send you an item which is very poorly constructed and I assume most people ask for a refund and when they ask for refund they offer to send another item to replace it and once you agree to this, you are no longer eligible for a refund and so both the items that they send you will cost them less than whatever you paid them and that is how they make money?

Per the companies clarification below the defect i noted is mot shown in may picture on the website so it sounds like their position is that the website photos are not the same products that you will receive.

I really wanted to like Vakkerlight…

I really wanted to like Vakkerlight because the designs on the website look beautiful and high-end, but my experience was disappointing overall. The light fixture eventually arrived, but shipping took much longer than expected and tracking updates were inconsistent.

When the product finally showed up, the quality did not match the price at all. From a distance it looks decent, but up close the materials feel cheap and some of the finishing details were uneven. Installation was also frustrating because the instructions were vague and missing important steps.

Customer service did respond to emails, but the process felt slow due to the time difference, and getting clear answers was difficult. I don’t think the company is a complete scam since I did receive my order, but for the amount charged, I expected far better quality and a smoother experience. I wouldn’t order again.

Doesn’t honour their refund policy

UPDATE May 11, 2026: I received a full refund for my incomplete order received a month ago. After my public review of the company, I was contacted by them and reassured that they are committed to customer satisfaction and would resolve my issue asap, which they did. Rating changed to 3/5 (from 1/5). I will note that the part of the item I did receive in my delivery was as promised and of good quality, but is useless to me without the complete set of installation parts.

May 5: I received an incomplete delivery in April for which I ordered in February. I provided images and video detailing the incomplete, unadvertised light fixture. It is now May and instead of offering a full refund that they clearly state on their website, they continue to ask me to send pictures and videos so they can resolve this problem (note I have already sent this requested information). Then they offer an insulting 10% refund which they never even fulfill because they continue to offer replacement parts shipment. I am convinced this company is run by AI and will not honour their refund policy

Customer Service was super friendly and…

Customer Service was super friendly and helpful. We also loved the light but couldn't get it installed due to an electrical error on our end. Would be 5 stars if I could return the lighting fixture but they worked with me to find a solution.

Responsive and good service

I have yet to order the lights, but the reps have been very responsive and helpful in providing photos and measurements that I need in order to make sure that we will be able to install the fixtures properly. It's intimidating to buy the fixtures when they need to be shipped so far, but the designs are really unique, and I have found the support so far very encouraging.

What light?

You “created a label” for this shipment sometime during the Carter administration with no news when the thing might actually get shipped - or if you even actually have the product to ship. I can give you a better review if I ever get the product.
