Driver was great

Driver was great - communicated well made good time and very helpful and polite
However communication with van plus was at times frustrating
On the whole good value for price despite the difficulty in phone calls e mails etc

Perfect All Round

The booking went like clockwork, once the driver was allocated and a mobile number was available, I made contact via text to explain the job as I had booked men to load and unload at either end as the item (a 2x1 metre roof window) was awkward and heavy - so punctuality was important. The driver arrived before time and within 15 minutes everyone was on their way to the destination. He was kind and courteous. I couldn't wish for a smoother transaction. I had been worried by some of the reviews of VanPlus but if you make contact with the driver, there should be no confusion. I am in the London area so perhaps there are more drivers. As VanPlus is essentially a booking service and drivers then apply for the jobs, there can potentially be a big disconnect between the driver and client. I also imagine that VanPlus takes a big proportion of the fee so you need to be realistic about the service you will get. I paid for a driver only in a medium van for 1.5 hours and between two destinations and I didn't expect any more. He was done and dusted in an hour and we were all happy. Thank you Trevor and VanPlus :-)

Disastrous customer service

I am sorry to say it but I really would'nt recommend this company. The customer service is disastrous!
We moved with VanPlus 2 times. The first time the job went fine but we were overcharged. We made a complaint but we were never answered.
The 2nd Time we had a pick up date and time set in advance, but nobody was there on the D-day... When we contacted the customer service they acknowledged that there was a mistake from their side but did nothing to arrange something for us.
I hope they will get better un the future..

Disgusting service

Disgusting service. Cancelled twice. Customer service are clueless. Wish I'd read the reviews before booking. They've offered a refund but I'm not convinced. Ridiculous this service has not been reported to the police for fraud.

Hi all,

I would recommend to never choose this company as they have a bad habit to cancel job an hour before the move and leave you in a worst condition when you can not do anything at all. I called their driver asking why he is not coming as i received a message from company that job cancelled coz of unforeseen circumstances. The driver replied me saying its not worth him as the company always pay a very little amount.

This is a company where you can never trust when you have packed everything and ready to go they will call saying they are not coming.

This was my 2nd experience where i had been ensured i would get a good service as on my 1st move they rescheduled the service 5 times.
They did the same thing and 50 minutes before the move called me saying they are not coming....ridiculous... I had no place to sleep as it was my last day at that property before moving to a new one.

The same driver offered me to come privately and i gave him 30 pounds extra as i had no choice....greedy drivers...

In short not a responsible company paying cheap rates to driver and greedy drivers offering to come privately and charge extra money to people. If you want to move home and stuff on time never choose this company otherwise you will experience it later.

Terrible Communication

I booked a van for 11am and was promised a van and driver by midday at the latest.

SIX hours later my driver Alli arrived. He was great once he arrived, but the communication in the interim from Van Plus was terrible (I was promised a phone call within 15 minutes with an update. An hour later I had to call and chase it up myself)

What should have been a reasonably relaxed day moving a few things became a long and stressful day where I was almost late for work that evening.

Fraud warning

Fraud warning. Terrible company. 3 payments went thru for same job, took 6 months to get a refund after legal threats. No address or email to contact them, they just hide. Beware

this company is shocking

this company is shocking, have charged me when they said they wouldn't until job is complete.
Driver booked for 8am, it is now 10.25am and still hasn't showed up.
When I called their support line they tried to fob me off with a 4pm booking, then hung up on me twice when I asked for the money back.
Best thing I found is to go through their live chat and advise you are recording the messages, as soon as I said that money is now miraculously going back into my account, go figure!!!!
Also ask them for a confirmation cancellation email.

Avoid at all costs

This company is just terrible. I advise anyone to not use this company. Drivers are not trustworthy and unreliable. Customer service is unhelpful.
You will be let down with no van if you rely on them.

Please don't touch with a barge pole

Please don't touch with a barge pole, quoted £89 and within 2 hours of booking they had taken two payments of £89 from my credit card. You can't get to speak to anyone either. After reading other feedback I cancelled the booking and they refused a refund, stating there T & C's state if you cancel you loose 100% of fee. Still no explanation on why they took double the fee and have not refunded. This was an expensive mistake they are a company that are very dishonest and shady. PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS ME. I Will be contacting the fraud advise line.

Shame it took 10 months to leave a reply and it’s obvious from the other feedbacks left for by your abhorrent company you have learnt nothing. I’m amazed your still in business. I also note that no matter what the customer complaint is you have cut and pasted the same response on how you will learn and grow on every bad feedback, and trust me there is clearly a lot of bad feedback. YOU CLEARLY HAVE LEARNT NOTHING. If only truspilot allowed us to give you the correct feedback which would be negative and not 1 star.

Very bad and dishonest people I have …

Very bad and dishonest people I have been charged twice for a job that took only a short time basically removing a bed from houses 5 minutes apart they took money out on the day of the booking and then the day of job even though they said money will only go out on compilation of job. Am still trying to get my money back
