Avoid PCP with Vauxhall at all costs

Wish we could give negative star reviews. We would suggest never even consider taking out a PCP contract with these shysters. When your time is up they will charge you for even the tiniest scratch despite having driven the car for 3 or 4 years and no grace given whatsoever for the slightest bit of wear and tear. Be warned. Vile company.

Had 3 vauxhalls

Had 3 vauxhalls. Every single one has been a piece of junk and cost me thousands in repairs. Never again.

God knows how they are still in business.

Brand new Frontera EV unavailable due to safety recall – zero customer support

I placed an order (Order #157714) on 5th May 2026 for a new Vauxhall Frontera EV with an expected delivery date of 1st September 2026.

On 3rd September, I was informed that the vehicle could not be delivered due to an indefinite, unrectified manufacturer safety recall hold on the model. While safety must come first, Vauxhall provided no clear timeline for a fix, leaving the dealer unable to fulfill the order.

This failure to supply a roadworthy vehicle forced me to exercise my statutory right to withdraw from the linked PCP finance agreement (Section 66B CCA 1974) and rescind the order under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Launching a new model that cannot be legally delivered due to safety holds—and leaving customers to deal with financial administrative hurdles as a result—is completely unacceptable service from a major manufacturer.

Rubbish!

Rubbish!

Had a recall on my Vauxhall Combo van. Issue with the camshaft chain. Ask you to book it into a garage only for them to run a crappy sound test to determine whether the part needs replacing. I know by the sound my engine is making the chain needs replacing but they won’t change it if it passes the test. Most chains fail after the test if you read up on them.

Really disappointing experience with… Frontera and Customer service

Really disappointing experience with Vauxhall. My brand-new Frontera developed an intermittent electrical/12V fault within the first couple of thousand miles and has left me unable to access/start the car on multiple occasions.

The vehicle has been investigated by two Vauxhall dealerships and has even faulted while with one of them, yet the underlying cause still hasn't been identified. I've spent weeks without reliable use of a brand-new car and a huge amount of my own time dealing with recovery, dealerships and Customer Care.

I've had to put into getting this resolved have completely taken the shine off owning a new car. Still unresolved and keep getting fobbed off each week by Vauxhall.

Called Vauxhall as we have been to…

Called Vauxhall as we have been to another garage and they explained that the brake servo has gone, the person on the phone was just unhelpful and seemed so disinterested. When asking about the recall they explained all they did was do a software update but not fix the actual problem! When asked how much it would cost they said well we would have to order the parts then let you know. We have been to see another garage and they have told us what the issue is but have been told we need to pay £180 for them to diagnose the issue that we already know- the customer service is shocking!!!!

Since September last year I have had my brand new Grandland in your Lookers Garage Star City, the screens kept going blank and then this year when they thought they fixed it got it back in March only for the same problem ongoing and then finally just won’t start, back in the garage and still there
How ridiculously I have kept my patience silently suffering without the car I took out last year only drove it for 8 months!!!
And now they are waiting for a part…. Chasing chasing and chasing…. No part available
Meanwhile while I suffer driving around your courteous a corsa manual and 1.2 which drags, but no other car available
I have just had enough! No one even calls me to make an apology or a courtesy
Vauxhall have really let me down and I will make sure anyone considering takes a good look and I will continue to share my experience

Brand-new Vauxhall Frontera

We purchased a brand-new Vauxhall Frontera in March 2026 and, within 10 days of delivery, the vehicle started displaying fault warnings. Since then, we have experienced repeated issues affecting multiple systems, including engine management, safety features, blind spot monitoring, dashboard electronics, windows, and the vehicle alarm.

Over the last five months, the vehicle has been subject to multiple dealership visits, diagnostic investigations, formal complaints, and ongoing involvement from Vauxhall Customer Care. Despite this, the problems remain unresolved.

What is most disappointing is that we have now been informed by both the dealership and workshop that one of the faults affecting our vehicle is a known issue impacting multiple Frontera owners and that there is currently no available fix. Yet we are still expected to continue making finance payments and using a vehicle that is acknowledged to be faulty.

Throughout the process, it has often felt as though responsibility has been passed between the dealership, Vauxhall Customer Care, and other departments rather than being owned and resolved. While everyone recognises there is a problem, nobody appears willing or able to provide a definitive solution.

After months of faults, investigations, complaints, and disruption, we have lost confidence not only in the vehicle but also in Vauxhall's ability to resolve the situation.

We are still waiting for a fair and permanent resolution.

Ipswich drive main dealership

Ipswich drive main dealership, avoid at all costs, over the last two months my van has been in twice, and currently still don’t have it back, first time 18 days, I was ringing 3 times a day for a single update my call was never returned once, every time I was told the same thing, no one is answering and they will email the manager who clearly don’t care about the customer.

My van was back for one wk and the same fault started again, it’s now been in for 8 days, absolutely no communication from them at all iv rang 3 times today to be told the same thing, no one’s answering I will email the manager, again they clearly don’t care, I only want a update.

There customer service is bye far the worst customer service I have every had.

Avoid this place at all costs.

Leaving yet another review

Leaving yet another review, as the Woolwich artillery brand still haven’t reached out to me about a complaint from my car service and MOt. Michael and the other guy have no idea what they’re doing. They charged me for new wheel locking nuts without my authorisation, and didn’t tell me they had charged, until I looked at my invoice next day. I didn’t even need new locking nuts, mine were perfectly fine. I had a monthly service with them but not anymore, I’ll be taking my car to an independent garage next year. Not even customer service got back to me, and Michael has completely ignored all my emails. Trying to get them on the phone is terrible. Avoid at all costs. They do not deserve a one star. Almost three months has now passed and still nothing, disgusting company and service. I’ll be changing my car from Vauxhall to a better brand.

Words cannot fully explain the experience with Vauxhall customer care
No response to my previous review either.

The call handler rummaged around on answering the phone, sniffed and was barely awake. Demanded I let him finish his long answer to the wrong question. Repeated rude call handlers with no resolutions to the problems

Vauxhall Corsa. 2 years old. Wet belt issue. Needs new engine. Waiting 9 weeks for warranty to be approved. No courtesy car. Arnold Clark wont fix it before October. No courtesy car. We need a car to work
Vauxhall blame Arnold Clark and vice versa.
Asked them to move to a garage that can provide a car and/or do it quicker.
Nothing. They hang up

Takata Airbag Death Traps - No Urgency Whatsoever

Stellantis (the current owners of Vauxhall) as an organisation is an absolute shambles.

Many of their cars which are a few years old have an "urgent" outstanding recall for faulty Takata airbags in the steering wheel. This recall is due to faulty Takata airbags. Faulty Takata Airbags have resulted in at least 35 deaths worldwide - to date.

Stellantis notify you of this recall (apparently...) however its then simply impossible to actually get booked in. Round and round in circles, call centre queues lasting hours, the most unhelpful website pages ever designed, leaving voice messages here and there, zero returned calls, zero follow-up emails.

The Stellantis Group have royally screwed-up several previously well respected car brands, including Vauxhall.

All I'm trying to do is book my 2014 Astra J, with its outstanding "urgent" recall into Stellantis&Me Croydon for repair as the Stellantis website has instructed me to do. It should be the simplest thing on earth to do, right, just a short little form... I gather its a 10-15min fix once the car is booked-in... However, is this possible...? No. Is any of this shambles unique to Stellantis&Me Croydon? Unfortunately, also no; otherwise you could go elsewhere. In fact they themselves (Stellantis&Me Croydon) are impossible to contact directly with regard to recalls, just off to the call centre you go to sit in an endless queue or to leave a voicemail that seemingly disappears into the abyss.

I've instructed my family and friends to take Stellantis for every single penny should the worst happen whilst I eternally wait for this utter shambles of an organisation to deal with my car's "urgent" recall. If this is how something allegedly urgent is dealt with, I wouldn't like to see them deal with something considered minor.

Chances are, that if you own a Vauxhall (or one of several other brand cars) that is now a few years old you may too be awaiting an 'urgent' recall too. Check your registration on the gov.uk "Check the MOT history of a vehicle" page.

Good luck, and I strongly suggest you tell your friends and family to do the same as I have regarding Stellantis, whilst you wait... Just in case!

The way Vauxhall deals with customer care

After experiencing the following ....

July 9th: Vehicle booked in to the Advance Motors Slough branch for initial diagnostic examination
July 10th: Customer called Advance Vauxhall Slough twice – both times the phone rang for approximately a minute without being answered
July 13th: Customer called Advance Vauxhall Slough four times – the final call rang for 3 minutes 28 seconds without being answered
July 14th: Customer called Advance Vauxhall Slough – the phone rang unanswered for 3 minutes 21 seconds
July 16th: Customer called Advance Vauxhall Slough – this time the phone was answered. No update was available. Customer was told that a Service Engineer would call the customer back. There was no call back.
July 17th: Customer called Vauxhall Customer Care at 10.17am: Customer was told that Customer Care would look into the case and call back. No call back that day
July 20th: Customer called Vauxhall Customer Care at 16.52. Customer was told that there would be a call back “as a priority”. There was no call back. Vauxhall Customer Care did not try to contact me until July 29th (missed call)
August 3rd: Customer called Vauxhall Customer Service at 15.25 to discuss the situation with the Case Handler for Customer Care Vauxhall Case Number 04292105. The Case Handler who took this call was dismissive and condescending in tone. When the customer expressed that they were unhappy with the level of customer service they had experienced, the Case Handler questioned why this would be case and said “You are going to have to be more specific”. The Case Handler said that Advance Motors’ email outlining repair costs (received 21st July) was enough of an update. When I outlined that the reason for my customer dissatisfaction was the insufficient communication, the Case Handler informed me that “your issue is with the branch, not with the company”. Furthermore, when the customer asked to speak with the Case Handler’s manager, he said “She is not in today” and “She might be able to call you back tomorrow." Customer ended the call with a clear “Can you please make sure she calls me back?” No call was received beyond this point.

The best the company could offer in consolation was to "ensure the internal teams are made aware and this will then be dealt with internally regarding the concerns raised". Not even an apology!

Vauxhall Vivaro GS

I couldn’t put zero unfortunately. I have a one year old van and unable to get replacement tyres. The tyres have a fault with all 4 which is a safety issue. Vauxhall don’t want to know. They won’t speak to me and refusing to even look into it. Tyre companies have struggled to get hold of the tyre and only one company makes them. This issue has flagged another issue, what if I get a puncture? Do I park up for 2-3 weeks? Or do I buy a spare 1-2 just in case. Shocking from vauxhall
