Veem closed my account for no reason
I am a U.S. citizen with a small LLC registered out of Nevada. My business is valid and I have a EIN. I registered with Veem and made an account and deposited $350. My drivers license expired a few weeks ago but I tried to KYC with it. At the time, I did not realize It was not accepted because every time I logged in it kept asking me to KYC again. I contacted support and eventually they told me KYC failed because of my expired drivers license. I then asked if I could use my passport but they instead simply closed my account. They wrote:
“ Unfortunately, after reviewing the information you provided to Veem, we are unable to support payments for your business at this time. It’s not you, it’s us. Veem is governed by financial compliance relationships with international finance institution partners, some of which do not permit us to serve certain business types or payment scenarios.”
My business primarily deals with wholesaling and E-commerce. Verifiable income streams but they didn’t even ask. I’m fairly certain my business qualifies but they probably just rejected me since my business is “too small”.
Anyhow, about two weeks wasted, unable to conduct business due to lack of a virtual card.
Anyhow, if you need virtual cards for your business, check out Privacy.com. Very high trust pilot rating and they approved me and my business and don’t give you all this spin on regulations. Just hoping Veem will refund my $350 in a timely manner.

I never received the deposit after updating my account information from a previously registered payment option. After reaching out to been via email I never received a response. Nor have I received the payment.

Not a product of choice at all. I only use Veem because an employer insists on paying me with it.
Veem does not do anything better than its competitors. It is clunky to use and navigate. It does not have a phone app. It does not provide US dollar virtual bank accounts to non-US citizens. Its transfer fees are not competitive. Its exchange rates are also not competitive.
Wise is the exact opposite, and provides multiple currencies with virtual accounts with low rates and charges, fast processing and a decent phone app.
I recommend Wise over Veem.
