Wishing I could give zero stars. My husband fell for this complete scam. Thought he was paying for car tax when it was merely a report he didn't need. contacted the bank, froze the card and applied for a new one to cut them off at the source. I urge anyone who has fallen for this scam to do the same to be safe rather than sorry. Also call the bank to report the scam.

Site with a name to indicate you are renewing car tax, and a paid promoted position above the DVLA site on search engine. Same coloured buttons and view and while there are tabs all over the place that offer terms and conditions, you skip them as you just want to tax your car and you can't do that without agreeing. However..these terms and conditions will show its for a car report. Thev14 day cooling off doesn't seem to apply for refunds and they can also charge a further 30 days worth of fee to cancel. So advice is to complain to trading standards with full details. The name of the site and positioning infers it's for renewing your car tax, which is deliberate. Yes they do have extensive terms that state what they do, and what they dont do and how the 14 day cooling off doesnt apply when you contact them within 15 minutes is also surely not right, but you agree to it as you need to buy your tax. Clever but naughty. STICK TO GOV DVLA site.

Scammers - tried to pay my car tax. Website looks like the DVLA site. It was the top website from a google search. Seeking a full refund…

Stop looking like DVLA page and is a necessary payment of £12.40 to proceed when not needed to rip people off !!!!

Scammers. Website is clearly designed to look like a government site and to dupe you into paying for a report you don't want or need.

Complete scam. Thought I was on the correct site for paying my road tax but they took money for a VR5 report which I did not want. Once they have taken£12.40 for this there was then a link to pay road tax.

I stupidly got road tax off these scamers I don't drive..my sil told me car not tax after 2weeks..cancelled card..report to fraud squad

-gazillion stars.. mysteriously received three emails from these twunts the day after I'd paid for my road tax!! I was very suspicious even though the email is cleverly worded and even references the government site. But I checked for these reviews and obviously saw the horrific result for people who were duped and I want to express my deepest sympathies to them that that happened.
I'm reporting the email as spam.

Fraud, pretends to be website to pay road tax but does not. Will be contacting bank to prevent further payments as anticipated by other reviews.

The site is designed to make you believe you are buying Road Tax when in fact you are buying some form.

They also design it to look like a government website.

I have asked for a refund and will see how they respond.

They are Ripping People Off.

Dishonest site. You somehow end up subscribed to a monthly payment for no service whatsoever.

This is a serious fraud! Beware!
I was seriously duped. I received a link to what looked like to renew my vehicle tax which was due and followed it. I was so focused on this as being tax renewal , that I failed to see the small print. I even thought that DVLA was excelling in sending me a vehicle report! (which incidentally is totally worthless) .
I didn’t even know that I had been duped until I got a fine for not having taxed my car- I was absolutely horrified and really angry.

I fell for this one too. I’m usually pretty good with these things but I was caught up in the moment buying a car and did this instead. Drove 150 miles back home thinking it was taxed so now hoping I don’t get done for no road tax.
Gutted.
I’ve sent the email to them cancelling any future payments but it’s ruined an otherwise amazing day for me.

As previously stated by others, this is an absolute scam. Please, please don’t use this site and if you have please, please go through your bank.

Vehicleroadtax is a scam, took payments imitating gov road tax payments, they don't supply road tax or any service for that matter, contacted bank who said it is a dispute, now Im finding people have also been caught for monthly payments, will try bank again.. can't believe they can get away with this.

Scam website! You think you are taxing your car but you are not. They just take recurring payments out of your account.

They said my car was taxed and had 256 days left. Then I got fined £30. Hopeless, what a silly confusing name when they have nothing to do with road tax. Should be banned. They claimed to have refunded my payments as a gesture of good will, I'll keep my eyes open for that, seems they took £16.74 over 2 payments in a recurring direct debit which I was not expecting. I thought it was a one off payment. How many more people is, this happening to!
