Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 63 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers found the service to be very helpful and a necessary part of buying a car privately, providing valuable insights into a vehicle's history and potential issues. Reviewers appreciated that the service could save them from scams and headaches, offering a good understanding of what they were considering buying. The service is often described as easy to use, providing great details on vehicles at a reasonable price, with some even highlighting the quality of the free version. However, some people were dissatisfied with the pricing and payment structure, feeling that the cost was too high for the information provided, especially when compared to competitors. Many customers reported being misled by the product descriptions, particularly regarding the inclusion of service history in comprehensive reports, often requiring additional payments for information they expected to be included. There were also complaints about the accuracy of the reports, with some customers receiving incorrect information or finding the reports to be thin and unhelpful. A few other people also felt that the company's practices, such as flagging certain issues, were concerning, and experienced poor customer service when trying to resolve these issues.

Did Vehicle report on my car on 23rd…

Did Vehicle report on my car on 23rd March 2026, with VehicleScore Uk.

I nearly collapse when report came back, incorrect that I had outstanding car finance loan on my vehicle.

This information has left me in shatters and not being able to sell my car. I quickly did another check with HPI and showed no outstanding loan was on my car.

I did enquire about loan December 2024 but did not go ahead.

Why is VehicleScore Uk has not updating there data base and showing incorrect information, regarding vehicle check on my car from December 2024.

This incorrect information has cost me stress and not selling my car.

I have complained to VehicleScore Uk and will keep updated regarding this matter

Hi Janice,

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience — we understand how concerning this must have been, especially when it affects selling your vehicle.

Our reports use data provided by trusted third-party financial databases, which are regularly updated and widely used across the industry. However, in rare cases, discrepancies can occur depending on how and when lenders update their records.

We’d really like to investigate this for you and get it resolved as quickly as possible. Please contact us at info@vehiclescore.co.uk
with your vehicle details, and we’ll look into this with the data provider directly.

If the information is found to be incorrect, we will of course make this right for you.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention,

Hi John,

Sorry to hear you feel this way — that’s definitely not the experience we aim to provide.

Our reports are designed as a peace-of-mind check, so in many cases a “clean” result actually means no hidden issues were found, which is ultimately a positive outcome when buying a vehicle.

We also work hard to keep our pricing competitive while using the same underlying data sources as other providers.

That said, we completely understand your frustration and are happy to offer a full refund. Please just email us at info@vehiclescore.co.uk
and we’ll get this sorted for you.

Thanks for your feedback,
Emma

SHOCKINGLY BAD!! Service History Check

SHOCKINGLY BAD! Bought a Service History check for £8.95 and they advertise ‘No Charge if no data’

There was no data on my car apparently but they still charged me. Emailed Vehicle Score and said you should refund because there is no data and was told that they incurred a charge so would not refund!!

Fraudulent!

Unashamed and unwarranted scaremongering for profit...VehicleScore add this warning to most…

VehicleScore add the following warning to vehicles with private number plates presumably to scare potential buyers and owners to purchase costly reports. Unashamed and unwarranted scaremongering for profit. Don't misunderstand, you definitely should check a cars history before purchasing but this is deliberately misleading and may put off purchasers from proceeding with perfectly legitimate cars.

No such thing as a free lunch!

I did an initial check on a car that I liked the look of and Vehiclescore warned me about potential serious issues which included insurance category risk, outstanding finance and number plate changes. I spoke to the seller who assured me he bought the car cash when it was a year old and had no accidents that he was aware of! So I paid for a full report to see what exactly the issues were. The car came back with a completely clean report-no insurance write off or outstanding finance either. I suspect this is a way of getting you to get a paid report-not impressed at all.

Do NOT trust this company! Fraudulent data

Stumbled across the company as they are trying to say our car has HPI outstanding and was salvaged…. Absolutely BS 🤬 we paid a SIX figure number CASH for our car a few years back and it’s NEVER had a single accident let alone been in salvage category…andthe only thing they got right was changed licence plates as we own 3 private plates!

Do NOT trust them! Or pay £10.95 for a dud report!

All the info at a great price.

Having used another well known vehicle checker before I watched the Scottish car clan on YouTube and decided to try vehicle score.
Vehicle score had all the information I needed at less then half the price.
I am very very happy.
