Mark Donagly visited me to investigate a rodent issue which had been a recurring problem for a few years. I can’t recommend Mark highly enough. He is very professional and courteous and really invests his knowledge and expertise into not only eradicating the problem but finding the root cause and dealing with it. Other companies have been to visit my property in the past when the same problem rodent problem has arisen and quite simply they did not come close to the service Mark offered. I would not hesitate recommending Mark and his company, and I am pleased to report that I have had no further problems.

Excellent service from Vergo.
I was visited by a Mark Donaghy "The Rat Man" he was professional , over the course of many visits made it his mission to not only catch the rats but stop them getting in.
I have had other pest controllers here in the past and their only action was poison and traps.
Mark looked in every nook cranny hole and drain until he found the entry point then blocked it up.
An excellent example of how pest control should be done.

Vergo Pest Management were reliable, informative and honest throughout my dealing with them.
I had a bed bug issue in my flat, for which we had 2 pesticide sprays with another company. We wanted to monitor their presence with their domestic beg bug canine detection service - and they were really upfront about the fact that the canine is generally used only at the start of a suspected infestation, and doing it at the end of one may result in false positives as the dog is highly sensitive and will detect dead traces of them.
So we cleaned the flat thoroughly, and the canine technician visited on time and promptly, and in a rare stroke of fortune, the dog found nothing! The technician gave an excellent run down of the results area by area, and even very kindly gave us strong bed bug lures to monitor them over the coming month. We've been totally free of them now so I'm pleased to say the dog was correct.
It's a shame they have some bad reviews here, in my dealings with them they are very aware of this and clearly put in the effort to show their reliability. This is the only domestic bed bug canine / dog service that I could find - they were affordable, compassionate and showed great expertise. I really recommend them.

I had an appointment booked yesterday to treat a wasps' nest in an air brick in my property via a British Gas' Insurance policy.
No one arrived so I tried to ring the company.
I was unable to speak to anybody so I left a voice mail message.
The technician arrived this morning and apparently wasn't at work yesterday!
A whole day wasted staying in for a technician who was never going to come.
This seems to be recurring problem with this Company.

2 appointments got cancelled without me being notified. Took time off work for the appointments, then phone today to get updated why the appointments got cancelled but was spoken by very rude customer service staff Victoria. Didn’t help to find what the cause of cancellation was but instead shall cancell your appointment for today 17/06/2025. I wasn’t not notified about this appointment and she put the phone down. Avoid , use a different company and company needs to sort its customer service and then could find my details inthe system
Very poor communication from the team, especially Victoria staff member who was very rude, twice my appointment was cancelled without being notified, third appointment was booked without my knowledge, it’s as when they want to come, I work , so I need to be notified at least. Stay away from this company

We initially contacted your Vergo on 9th May 2025 to arrange pest control services under a works order. Despite this early contact, the tenant did not receive any communication or update regarding the booking. I followed up with a phone call on 15th May, during which I spoke to a member of your team who advised that an exterminator was scheduled to attend the property on the morning of 19th May.
However, on the day of the scheduled visit, the tenant confirmed that no contractor arrived. I then spoke with Louise for over 30 minutes. She informed me that there were no notes or correspondence in your system confirming the original booking, but reassured me that an engineer would be sent out today and that a manager would follow up via email to confirm the appointment. No such email was received.
I contacted your office again and spoke with Emma, who was polite and professional. However, she too was unable to locate any record of the property or an engineer scheduled for today’s visit.
Additionally, when a visit was finally arranged, no specific time was confirmed. I was advised that I would receive a call approximately one hour prior to the visit. They waited in all day, yet no call or visit occurred. Your customer service line, while responsive in appearance, only allows you to leave your details for a callback. I have now done this on multiple occasions without receiving any follow-up.
After three separate attempts over an 11-day period, and ongoing issues with your system failing to recognise the property, this has resulted in an extremely frustrating experience and a very dissatisfied tenant. We expected a professional and reliable service and unfortunately, this has fallen well short of reasonable standards.
I request that this matter be investigated urgently, and that clear steps be taken to ensure that properties are to be attended to without further delay. Additionally, I would appreciate a written explanation for the repeated communication failures and missed appointments as well as the seemingly inflated price of £170 to get rid of a simple wasps nest...

We were having trouble with rodents eating our produce in the garden. Mark the operator was friendly and obviously knew his job. Explained what he was doing and why. Took great care knowing we had a dog etc. After all his hard work the rodents have gone.
