My company offered Vialto's service when I moved to the US.
I had a very disappointing experience with them. Despite entrusting them with my tax affairs, they failed to meet basic expectations. Not only did they miss important deadlines, but I'm still waiting for my refund over a year later. The lack of communication and accountability throughout the process was frustrating and unacceptable.

I do not recommend VAILTO services to anyone seeking reliable and efficient tax assistance. It's unfortunate that my experience fell short of expectations, and I hope others can learn from my ordeal.

I should have hired my own.

No communication. Told me my 2022 filing would be late a matter of days before the deadline. They have just done the same thing with my 2023 filing despite me provided all of the information immediately after it was requested. When I asked if they will cover any late filing penalties/interest due to the delay being their fault, they ignore my question and quite rudely email back saying it will be filed when it's ready. I don't even have a ballpark estimate of my liability with only 1 week remaining until the deadline. Terrible client experience. Don't use if you can avoid it.

I recently moved from Australia to the US and my company offered me the tax agent as part of my relocation package. Vialto prepared my US tax return.

It contained significant errors. I tried to contact them and ask them to fix it, but once they send you the return, there is no effective means of communicating with them. The support "redirected my questions to the appropriate team" and I have not heard back from them. It is like, "Here is your return, goodbye". I ended up preparing the return myself. I must admit, the return they prepared was very helpful as a reference point.

Lesson learned - hire your own tax agent. Don't use "free" agent offered by your company,

Absolutely horrible experience - Vialto messed up badly my tax return for a foreign country I had worked in, filing paperwork that didn't apply to my case. This mistake on their end cost a pretty sum of money. I don't recommend using them, this will potentially yield expensive consequences in the future. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Used them for filing our tax returns for last year and will never recommend them to anyone.

First of all, they missed the deadline and had to request an extension.

Secondly, I thought they at least did a good job with the calculations until I decided to pay attention to every detail of the filing. They made mistakes that caused us to pay more in taxes than we should’ve and we can’t get that back..

I’ll suggest to anyone who is considering using them to look elsewhere..

Used Vialto and the team in Netherlands was perfect and very helpful.

I used this company twice since it was part of my relocation package from Switzerland to the United Kingdom. In both cases it was a terrible experience and it actually got worse the second time despite having given them a negative feedback the first time (to which the only thing they did was apologizing). They make you fill insane forms that are more complex than filling a tax return and then they wait until the last day or after the deadline for giving you the tax return. Horrible.

They missed the tax return deadline, they don't answer their emails on time, they don't seem to care about their customers at all.

I have used Vialto in Sweden for 2 years now. I have no problems and will continue with them. IMO the experience as a customer depends on who is doing your tax and how good a manager they have. I have been fortunate to have Martin Hetta and Emy Lilja on my case. They are really good and massively helpful. Given how low Vialto's score here is, perhaps these are the 2 people who can best advise and help other Vialto teams to serve their customers better?

Horrible. Please close up the company, disgusting experience.

It took them almost a year to finish my tax documents with really bad results.

I hope karma acts on them.

My employer ordered Vialto to take care of my taxes while beeing Expat. I had the impression that it was much more work for due to their complex templates compared to doing all declarations myself and every year I found some wrong declarations I needed to correct. Some of my colleagues even ordered another tax advisor to oversee vialtos work. For me the long processing times were really frustrating (and costly).

If I could only give zero star, I would. This company doesnt deserve to even exist. The persons I am dealing with dont actually care if they are giving bad service or not.
They are supposed to file my wife's green card application along with mine. Despite my constant reminders to them, they missed it. I received my own green card but my wife's application did not progress. Then their partner called me to apologize saying that they completely missed to submit my wife's application. What do they expect from that apology? Do they understand the implication of their negligence in our family's condition? My wife could not even open a bank acct in the US, she could not even apply for a job, she cannot leave the country when she deeply needed to. They are assisting us now to get my wife's green card application expedited. Or are they really assisting or do they just want to bill my employer. They are very slow in terms of responding to our questions. They normally reply to questions when the day is over or after business hours despite emailing them as early as 4am. The guys I am dealing with seem to do not feel any sense of urgency nor accountability on their actions. Wish this company gets dissolved.

Vialto Partners were instructed via my employer to complete my UK & overseas tax returns due to my international work placements and the implications on tax. For the first few years when the UK tax team were part of pwc I had no issues, good service and speedy responses. However, since this team were sold to Vialto they have been a nightmare to work with!

Vialto were setup as my self assessment partners with HMRC and sent all communications about my HMRC tax calculations. Vialto lost these communications and blame human error, thus submitted an incorrect tax return leading to additional payments required to HMRC which incurred late payment fees as Vialto did not pass on communications about the incorrect return.

I since complained to Vialto when they stopped responding to my emails, the case was passed to the most incompetent senior manager, who gave false promises of calls to discuss and when he finally did call late on a Friday afternoon, he had not researched or looked at the complaint and asked me to repeat everything already shared, but not before saying that I was just ‘moaning’.

The complaint was then escalated to a Director, who provided a final response confirming Vialto had lost communications from HMRC and were unprofessional, however only gave apologies and fobbed off that their service was unacceptable.

I am now proceeding with a case to the ombudsman and would advise anyone looking to use Vialto for a tax return to seek another provider with much better experience and reviews. I would never use Vialto again.

Terrible experience.

My company offered their tax support as a part of benefit. However, they are (1) inefficient (2) incompetent
(3) unreliable.

Inefficient: I got my Swedish and Irish tax return pack all last minute. The Swedish one I got it last day of the extended deadline, leaving no space for review and revise.

Incapable: They asked everything about my partner, in a long questionnaire. And what I got in the tax pack is that projects I cannot get a joint assessment as we did not register with the tax agency the year before (since we just relocated). Then why asking 1000 questions about this? In the end, the tax agency's tax report recorded our tax as joint assessment. Meaning they offered wrong advice, useless projection, and we did not get to discuss what is the best for tax credit allocation. What I recorded online with the tax agency was not reflected on their submission.

(3)Unreliable: as already mentioned, their answers were not reliable. You cannot trust them for putting the right info either, I had to chase a few times for corrections. I could have done the tax return application myself, with higher efficiency and less frustration.

Overall, I prefer getting the money myself rather than getting service from them.

Absolutely horrible. I was put in copy of the email from the embassy to Vialto today, stating that it was the last warning, as they never confirmed my appointment for TOMORROW!!! and did not sent my documents ether. I did send Vialto couple of emails during last weeks asking for the documents I need to bring to the appointment - nothing.. better do it yourself. Same work, less stress.

As an expatriate taxes can be very challenging, I’ve had vialto (formerly PWC) doing my taxes, something happened that coincided with the name change. The competence level went from average to sub-par real fast.
They made a 7K usd mistake in my state income tax and completely butchered my 3520-A.

Their existence is a disservice, I hope they go out of business, so no one else falls for their crap.

Had to use Vialto via my husband's employer. As we had recently married, he needed to submit a joint declaration this year. With many delays, many unanswered messages, and holidays, we received the declaration without having my details included. More unanswered messages until finally I got a phone call saying they would look at it, that there were 3 years to correct a declaration. However in our case, my declaration looks like it has not been filed so I am getting letters from the Service Impots. The declaration correction has still not been filed despite, again, messages through their help.

Vialto is hired by my company to fill the taxes of their employees. They forget about my taxes, haven't filled them and miss understood many of the documents. Did not seem to read my emails and just send "automatic" answers.
Terrible service.

Constantly having to follow-up the team to process my employment based visa to work in the country. I had provided all my information as soon as they requested it and it took them 2 weeks to lodge, with having multiple days off and limited helpful responses. They are absolutely incompetent, it is baffling how large multi-nationals keep them on their payroll.

I used Vialto services in Spain as the company I am working at chose this relocation provider for me. Because of their slow work, in particular Alba G.G. and her colleagues, me and my coworkers received our documents at least 1 month later than colleagues assigned to another big service provider in Spain. In order to get a reply to an email, an average of 5 follow ups were needed. I understand that some things require time, but there was NO communication like “we are reviewing this and will get back to you asap”, just silence, so it felt like a another job to get a reply from them on top of our main jobs. So it makes their work pointless as the provider was hired to simplify things and let us focus on our jobs. At the end I gave up and found an appointment for TIE myself, for example. I do not recommend this company, you will be better off using another relocation provider or figuring things out yourself.
