Videotron is the worst company I have…

Videotron is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. First of all the decide to terminate a contract that they signed with me because it was for their own convenience. Secondly they are making promises that they are not willing to keep and just keep you hours and hours on the phone, and all they can say is they apologize for the inconvenience that it has caused me. I have never seen a company terminating the contract like that. Stay away from them because you will just get sucked in into the worst company on earth. I spent over 10 hours on the phone with them and 7 hours in store because each time they promise me something else and they say that it can't be done. They have all their phone calls recorded but are not willing to listen to the calls because they know they are in the wrong. Would give them 0 stars if was possible.

This company is greedy in the fact that they are letting go off good managers now that they have taken over freedom mobile is dirty! Just like all others big companies these days taking jobs to give to someone who will work for less pay and less benefits. I have been a customer of freedom mobile for many years long before they became freedom mobile and will now be seeking a different provided that is not associated with Videotron!

poor service, poor processes, frustration

We have subscribed to the Internet service. Internet worked for about 5 months but then became Intermittent, and very slow when available. Support is via chat, and it is easy to get the help desk. The problem then is that fizz.ca (subsidiary of videotron) gives appointments with a technician - appointments that are not respected by the dozen. No-show last week, no-show yesterday, no-show today. This is terribly frustrating, no Internet, no technical support, and a lot of time wasted in waiting and following up. If you need reliable Internet for your studies, or for work, then unfortunately fizz.ca (videotron) is a high-risk option.

Absolute worst

decided to changed from Fido to videotron and overall it has been a nightmare . The service is mediocre at best.. communication is cutting off like we are in a 3rd world country.. terrible signal.
Their space client is ancient you can’t pay directly from your account…. Can’t even see your bill half of the time you have to call them several times to Restore access to their espace client it boots you out and you spend fore ever on the phone with their customer service trying to fix it
And because I was tired of their inability to provide adequate service I wanted to cancel the contract by paying my sold on the phone but no they want to charge 200$ cancellations fees. Not worth the headache. Anything is better then them..
Beware.

Videotron is the worst cable company…

Videotron is the worst cable company across the entire nation. They give you a reduction on your bill only to increase it a month or so later. I hate this company so much and cannot wait to unplug from them. I am stuck with them because they have the monopoly where I live. If I could go with Shaw Cable, I would. If you can go with another company do so. Run from vide-étron. You will get ripped of and customer services if by far the worst. They don’t care about their customers, they only care about making money for vide-étron.

Videotron is french for "the devil"

Videotron tricked me into a 2 year contract for a phone that even the manufacturer admits is faulty but videotron expects me to pay 880 dollars to get out of my contract with them as my phone is not functional, even though literally nothing damaging happened to it...was a Samsung z flip 4...worse mistake I've ever made. in 8 months once my contract for a useless phone will be over I would have the privilege of paying them 660 for the phone that now broke 4 times without even the most minor accidents. there is not even a scratch on the phone but the touchscreen became un moored for the 3rd time and samsung now wants 550 to just repair it. They are all crooks but honesty videotron is just the most vile and selfish company you could ever have the displeasure of dealing with. at every convenient moment for them the phone magically no longer belonged to me I was just renting but whenever it came time to service it and there were many I was completely alone to deal with the "rental"property . The absolute disdain with which a loyal over decade long customer has been treated has forced me to switch carriers for all 3 services I had with them..hope they are happy now but I know they never will be with their shriveled little cocks working for the devil himself. Back to hell with videotron!

Port forwarding does not work

Vediotron's helpdesk services are utterly disappointing. I sought assistance for port forwarding in my Helix Fi router, and their support was a complete letdown. Despite multiple attempts, they failed to resolve the issue, displaying a lack of expertise and an overall incompetence in addressing basic networking issues. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for competent tech support.

Price Discrimination & Bad/Funny Customer Service

Two things in this review: (1) Pricing discrimination (2) Bad Customer Service

(1) Pricing discrimination

The Internet 400 plan can cost you anywhere from 41 dollars to 73 dollars. Weird right? Well not really! Below are the details!

Price #1: $73 | Normal Price
Price #2: $65 | Price on Videotron website when I log in to my account and view prices today February 10, 2024.
Price #3: $55 | Current promotion price for new customers in the building I am currently in for life.
Price #4: $41 | Current price that I pay with a $32 promotion from the regular price of $73 for two years.

Is that it? No there is more fun to it! Price #5: $63 :) which was the price that the customer service said I might get when the promotion expires.

(2) Bad/Funny customer service

When I was inquiring today on all these price mismatches and asked to have the $55 for life the customer service said this is for new clients only and that after my promotion period ends the price will go back to 73 dollars so I have to call them then to have a $10 discount that will bring the price to $63 which is higher than the price of the new customer by $8.

Experiencing this mess, I asked customer service to cancel my subscription when my promotion ends in July 2024 and she said I would have to call then. I said why not cancel it now? She said we are still in February and many things will change till July such as her not working anymore with Videotron :p. I laughed and said alright thanks.

I have all this call recorded and I wish I could share this funny part here on Trust Pilot as audio (not to mention that this was the satisfaction department 😂)

I mean at least have employees that are satisfied with their job so that they can satisfy the clients 😂

Billing department can't figure anything out

In October I got a new credit card so I called them to update my file and to continue on with automatic billing. Seems straightforward right?

Except they somehow didn't add my card properly and charged me over $60 in interest fees for their mistake. The last agent I spoke to confirmed I'd be getting this amounted credited on my next payment. Well, turns out they messed that up too so I'll have to call them again.

This is after being a client for 10 years, I don't expect a prize but some kind of competency on their part would be nice considering how much money I've given them.

Terrible customer service in the…

Terrible customer service in the satisfaction department. I was concerned with what do to with the equipment if we cancelled tv, I asked if they take it back so it can be recycled. The lady on the phone rudely said they don't care I can do what I want with it.

I asked why it can't be taken back to be properly recycled or re used and she got extremely rude and said because I signed a contract.

I would just like the equipment to be properly reused and not be spoken to like I'm an idiot.

This lady was rude throughout the whole call, was speaking over me and didn't answer any of my questions properly because she was talking over me.

Awful all around experience. Would not recommend.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience, terrible customer service.
I cancelled few days after I subscribed.
They said they will not charge me because I was in the customer satisfaction period.
My account was debited with full amount few days after cancellation.
When I called them to ask why my account was debited, they didn't give me any sensible expanation.
I asked them when can I get refunded, they answred next month!!
I can't see why they charged me - first place - after few days of cancellation, and I can't see why they can't refund me right away.
Their agent failed to explain why. I asked them to connect me with someone who can resolve this issue, but they failed again.

10+ Years of bad service

What does 10+ years mean to Videotron?

Nothing at all I was never offert any special, gift or any thank. I was treated like a 6 month costumer all the way.

I had to pass every years at least 5 hours do bargains because they don't care of there costumer.

What are my expectation of being a trustworthy client ?

After 10+ years I expect respect, fast service, bonus and gift.

Why is that ? Simple fact that every business I am client do that give rabait without me asking. I bought a 47$ worth of blue cheese and he made me a deal to pay only 40$.

That how I expect to be treated after giving litteraly more than 10 000$ to a compagny.

If you are not affordable, don't do good deal, have really bad costumer service in all you branch "normal and business", that your service are bad.

For Internet you had 1GBs you said that not true. Its 900mbs down, 50mbs up that is for like 80-90$ month whene I can have 1000mbs up and down with E-Box for 70$ all included. And you say the modem/routeur ya on location with buy option and when I cut the service you said that not the case that I need to fully paid the thing.

What service I tried ?

Mobile normal/business
Internet ( the biggest one )

Where they good ?

Not for the price and all the pain using the online invoice you need to different accont and cannot have the same mail as username so its mindblowing. Sometime they don't send any invoice because there system are buggy and perception call you saying you need to pay.

Why did I stay 10+ years ? I didn't wantes to goes into all the pain and bad service. It took me more than 6 hours on the line only with Videotron on a 3 day periode to solve this I tried to leave before and never said last invoice they send a perception company with a invoice close to 1000$ to a client that gave them more than 10000$.

Finaly I pay all I am writting his after sending the last bill.

But this is not the END dealing with them I need to remove there SIM form my cellphone, after removing it physicaly form the phone its still in the phone memory I have fully reset the phone 2 time, reset the network 2 time. There is nothing working and Apple say its Videotron to repair it and Videotron say that Apple and I calling and texting them back and forth they playing ball and I am the ball. Pretty sure Apple are right that Videotron fault.

Etheir way none of them can solve it. I been on phone, at the store. I thing they just don't care because I am not a client anymore event if a was one that was with them for all that time.

I hate them, that the worse costumer experience of all my live. This company is rotten to the core they don't care about there old costumer they care only about making more money.

Don't take any of there service in today world there are many other place whit better lime E-Box faster, better and cheaper, Phonebox is the same thing.

But you need to go trought the pain they force you to endure yo quit so you don't wan to quit thats there tactic whene you are stuck with a none fully pay phone and router that alot of money to pay so you stay!

Good look dealing with this team and the mediocre company that Videotron is.

Horrible experience!

It’s not the first time my internet connection doesn’t work because the cable that connects outside my house breaks. They come to change but after 1 month the cable breaks again. I pay for my internet and I can’t use. The best thing is change company.

Plain Bad Service.

Swapped from Bell early this month for price and speed, but within the first day the routers connection dropped every few minutes, which made working from home nearly impossible. I called them on multiple occasions and they (admittedly rudely) told me for weeks it would be fixed soon and that there was no need for a technician. When I asked for a date, they simply told me soon and had no fixed date. Now after a MONTH they admit they do need to send a technician out, but I have to wait at home between 7:30AM and 8:30PM. I can't even run errands. And now I have no Internet whatsoever, to which they told me to "Just wait." I should be working today!!! I cannot work and I have barely been able to get anything done for the month.

TL;DR: Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's better.

Overpriced arrs hols

Overpriced arrs hols. Changed their phone messaging system to one that was utter crap. A PARTICULARLY bad feature (out of several,) is making you listen to the whole selection sentence without the ability to cut it short with your button push. What ARRS HOL designed that?
