I am very disappointed I put something up for sale and they blocked me saying it was fake. I put pictures up but they told me it would take a while and 5 days have passed and nothing. Lack of seriousness, ok I understand their side but from my point of view you don't let me put the product up if I don't have the receipt but don't close my account.
Account suspended by AI bot for posting ‘counterfeit item’
New to Vinted, posted my first item and my account was immediately suspended for posting a counterfeit item! (A Vaude jacket that I had bought off Amazon). 4 days later I got a message from customer support asking for different types of photos - all of which I had already included in the original listing….
I’m the seller
I’m the seller, sent item to the buyer, buyer did not pick up from InPost locker despite delivery confirmation. Item never returned to me. Told Vinted and they refunded the buyer. InPost did everything, the seller did everything but buyer didn’t collect, so buyer gets refunded! Customer services sends AI generated responses, awful company. Vinted is a scam

Shocking customer service

Sold a phone on it and buyer said the package arrived empty, had proof of packaging and weight of it and the weight stated as it arrived in France, buyer raised an issue tried texting the buyer no reply he put an empty plastic package as the pics! Vinted sided with the buyer said it must of gotten lost in transit so buyer got refunded I’m down €100 and Vinted said there’s nothing else they can do and I’m not entitled to compensation as it was “lost” in transit in France.. Vinted was no help at all! Do NOT recommend to anyone.
0 for Vinted and 0 for their customer service
0 for Vinted and below 0 for their customer service
I had two addresses , one in France and one here in Dublin . I used to order both in France or here in Dublin , switching was very straight forward and working well . They suddenly changed that .
No warning . It's not possible anymore . And when customer service is reached it's 0 . No understanding of the problem and no understanding of anything in fact.
Pathetic . I'll shop somewhere else ..
Awful customer service!!
Awful customer service!!! They don't protect you, they don't help. Really bad experience - I bought an item that results fake and they couldn't resolve the problem. No communication at all. Same for the product which I waiting from one week - no product, no refund, no communication. Be very careful with them!!! Better to avoid them!!!!
Very inefficient app and business
Very inefficient app and business
Very unsupportive to buyers and charge a lot on every transaction as buyer protection fee, then if something needs to be returned and refunded, they drop you, and make phoney excuses for their negligence.
Absolutely useless app as your listed items, stop circulating after 48 hours, to force to reduce the price.
They give you very low price suggestions on your listing as they charge far more on cheaper items to multiply their prophets.
Very poor communication when you need a problem resolved.
No comeback whatsoever
Dreadful experience with Vinted.
Bought a pair of Nike runners.
Tracking indicated that they were in a storage facility and the last day for delivery was 18 May 2026.
When the item was not delivered on 28 May I went straight into Vinted to RAISE AN ISSUE.
However the item was then marked DELIVERED and the option to RAISE AN ISSUE had DISAPPEARED.
Of course I could not raise an issue before 18 May as they told me parcel could still be delivered.
They could not care less if the item is delivered or not.
Once the last day of delivery arrives you no longer have recourse to raise an issue.
Of course when I contacted Vinted I get generic responses telling me the date to RAISE AN ISDUE has now passed.
I am down €50 and have absolutely no recourse except to leave this review.
Vinted app is absolutely a scam
Vinted app is absolutely a scam. They provide a platform where they charge a “buyer protection fee” but customer support does not exist at all. They use AI to autogenerate responses and if there is any issue - there will be no support to help or investigate! I purchased an item which was marked by the carrier as “delivered” but never actually was delivered at my address. I raised immediately this issue with Vinted - they just provided a generic response that they will reply within 48 hours and after 48 hours just automatically completed my purchase with a message “since you raised no concerns purchase is completed”! So now I have no item and my money was transferred to seller! This platform is absolutely a scam. If you have small value items that you want to get rid maybe this is a good place to sell but if you want to list expensive items - AVOID at all cost!
Bought a pair of genuine Adidas…
Bought a pair of genuine Adidas trainers on vinted that didn’t fit me, uploaded them myself to sell them on and Vinted deleted my post saying they weren’t genuine, have had quite a lot of issues with customer service where they were no help at all
Lost so much money
I've just lost so much money using this site that I've decided to close my account. Vinted are facilitating incompetent couriers and corrupt buyers at the expense of totally innocent sellers. The option of Drop2Shop appears unregulated. Tracking is often not generated after the item is dropped off. In my case, the buyer had received the item, left positive feedback but then Vinted cancelled payment saying I hadn't shipped within the required timeframe. I have had a buyer claim they received the wrong item, which wasnt true. Vinted suspended payment, saying the seller and buyer need to work things out, however I as the seller have to pay the postage cost if I want the item back. Postage will be more expensive than the cost of the item - absolutely crazy. The final issue is the apparently increasing number of buyers using pick up points who dont actually bother to collect the item. In this instance, the seller is again penalised when Vinted cancel payment because the sale wasnt completed. There is no customer support, full stop. Avoid!
Horrendous customer support
Their customer support is some of the worst I've ever experienced. I had an issue where a buyer failed to collect an item, so it was supposed to be sent back to me. I waited and waited for the delivery, until I finally received a push notification explaining that the item should have arrived by now. The notification explicitly told me to contact support, which I did, only to be told there was nothing they could do because too much time had passed, meaning it couldn't be escalated to the courier. The support agent couldn't explain why I received a push notification telling me to contact them if it was already too late. Why wasn't the notification sent earlier?
I created another support ticket, and the AI bot told me to reach out again after May 14th, so I did. I then had to wait 5 days just for the ticket to be assigned to a human. When I finally received a response, it was the exact same AI copy-and-paste slop I'd previously received, with just one new element: "Parcel Timeline: The parcel may take several working days to arrive. If it hasn't reached you within 25 business days, please contact us so we can review the situation together." I immediately messaged them back, highlighting that it had already been over 25 business days. They replied relatively quickly... only to send the exact same copy-and-pasted response yet again.
Vinted provides a great service if…
Vinted provides a great service if everything goes well. If however something goes wrong such as the inability of their system to generate a shipping Barcode you are required to cancel the order, and the buyer gets a refund and you are required to relist. You in other words you do the work to fix a problem that vinted caused. I Not what you'd expect from a customer friendly company
I was always both a dedicated seller…
I was always both a dedicated seller and buyer on vinted and all my ratings were 5 stars. After recently selling an item, it had to be posted to France. The lady in my local post office warned me that they constantly had complaints from France, and advised me to take photos of the packaging and proof I had it padded and marked as fragile. The package was delivered to the wrong depot in France, one which the buyer claimed she had never heard of. When it eventually got to her, she made a complaint that it was broken. Despite the buyer saying her last 3 orders were all broken, she automatically got a refund and I lost my €20. Vinted claimed the “paper alone” I had used did not provide sufficient protection. This was a total lie, as both myself and the buyer had uploaded photos clearly showing the item had multiple layers of bubble wrap, scratch resistant paper and newspaper to pad and fill any gaps before the item was placed in the box. The buyer messaged me stating “vinted was originally created for clothing, and carriers have a habit of throwing packages around”. I am gutted Vinted didn’t look into this issue properly and the buyer got an automatic refund for 3 parcels in a row with fair, honest sellers losing out. From now on, I will only post packages within Ireland as I have never had any problems out of my 59 previous transactions.
Package from France never arrived lol
Package from France never arrived lol. They apparently need 25 business days for their useless customer support to issue a refund. And even then, you might be asked to wait another 7 days. I’ve threatened with a lawsuit and they issued my refund within minutes. I could give a mere response from the customer support. Overall worst experience ever, not recommend buying anything from France as your package will likely get stuck in limbo

Vinted is a brilliant idea and an amazing experience as long as nothing goes wrong (item lost in post, wrong item sent etc...) anything that needs the input of a human being and not automated instructions takes FOREVER...I will still use vinted because it's amazing to be able to buy items second hand but oh my god, the customer service is terrible.
