I just recently purchased a tv from…

I just recently purchased a tv from Visions online and was a pretty easy experience. I purchased it on April 30th and it was an 85 inch so I obviously had to get it delivered. Anyways 2 days later and the price went down $200 so i emailed Visions about this and within a week after contacting and speaking with an online rep, the manager of Visions ( Scott) emailed me back and refunded back the difference. Pretty happy with their service.

Scam online return policy.

Sent me a corded pair of headphones that were broken. I was given the option of a replacement or refund. I chose replacement as they were for my son's 10th birthday. Sent me another pair that was broken in the same way. I emailed them for a refund and they replied that I was out of the 24 hour notice window so they wouldn't refund or replace.

Their online store is a total scam. Send items that they know cannot be sold in store and hope the buyer doesn't notice it with their "24 hour return policy."

I've purchased my last 5 TVs and dishwasher from these guys but they've completely lost my business over a $25 pair of headphones. Well done.

A big shout out to Brad in St. Albert

A big shout out to Brad in St. Albert for taking the time to ensure I had the right parts ordered to install my car stereo and backup camera.
This location has installed vehicle stereos in the past and no problems - excellent customer service. Thanks again guys!!

I asked for assistance on a software issue and was given the run around. The person was not explaining everything to me. I am running into one issue after another. I asked for a techie to come to my residence and look at the issues I was encountering and was refused. I have this feeling the person I was speaking with did not know what to do. Another thing I have this feeling the tv I bought was repackaged in such a way that it came from the factory. I think somebody had this tv before me and now I am stuck with somebody else's issues. Pretty sad. They just marked it down as a sale and last tv. Pretty crooked business and mean thing to do. never again. Now I have to find a competant place I can do business with.

Scrutinize your invoice to avoid being overcharged

Purchased Polk ES60 pair of tower speakers at the Burlington location. I was told the price would be $604 each. The speakers would have to be ordered. after about a week. I called in and found out that they were not in. I also noticed on the bill that they had charged me $649 each. I called them and told them what was going on. They told me the speakers were not in stock and that in order for me to refund due to the overpriced figure on my invoice that I would have to come in.

So I did go to the store and at that time they offered me the original price I was promised but the elusive speakers still had not arrived.

I told him I wanted my money back and would buy the speakers off Amazon

Such a waste of time. I did buy in Amazon with one day delivery

Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life!!

I have never been more dissapointed in my life regarding the customer service and false advertising of policy in regards to this Vision store in the NE of Calgary.
I went to the store on Sunday April 14, 2024 with my son and we bought a Samsung computer monitor that my son saved with his own money to buy it. When we got home and he wanted to put it together he noticed the ports were not aligned properly with the outer shell of the monitor that you wouldn't be able to even plug in the cables to the monitor. So we boxed it right back in the exact same way the same day.
The next day Monday April 15, 2024, I went back to the store to return it. Didn't think it would be that difficult to get my money back considering they advertise a 100% money back guarantee, that if you're not satisfied for any reason within 30 days they will refund your money. Well they obviously don't back that up.
They advised they had to open the box to verify the content and what what was wrong with the monitor.I advised them of the port issue but they started looking at the the edges of the monitor and inspecting every little corner of it. At one point they walked away with the monitor and it was out of my sight for a few mins. When they ( an asian lady and Caucasian guy with glasses, unfortunately I didn't get their names)came back, the guy had advised me at first that the serial # on the box did not match the serial # on the product and that despite what was wrong with the monitor , with the port problem and advised that the edges looked off alignment, in which me or my son never even noticed that at the time, that they couldn't give me my money back because it was not matching according to the product sold. In my mind I was like " What do you mean?" So I said " are you saying that I bought this monitor, took it home, and swapped it out with a different one????" The guy said " no that's not what I'm saying but it's not matching ." He may not have been directly accusing me but he certainly was insinuating it indirectly . He then proceeds to tell me that once a purchase is made and left the store , it's out of their hands and they can't assume what's been done with it and kept advising that the product # to the box wasn't matching to the # in the box. That it needs to match up. How is that MY fault, if that's what they sold me?? So on the flip side if that's the case , how can the store guarantee that this product that was sold to me in the first place before it leaves the store has the product # matching to the product # on the box? that the product was not previously bought by another, refurbished or returned and put back out for resale? Or guarantee that a faulty product was not sold to me! Not to mention, when they took the monitor out of my view for those few mins, how can I guarantee that it wasn't swapped or tampered with in that moment of time out of my sight?? The fact that I'm given a hard time instead of them honoring their customers satisfaction guarantee is unacceptable. Not to mention the prior reviews on here with 1 star is for the exact issues regarding refunds. Ang the fact that I bought the extended warranty , and for what?? To get this kind of treatment and get sent away to take the monitor back home while I wait on follow up, if they ever do.
So at this point one of the managers , Sukhmin Saroya could only advise that he could not issue me a refund at the time. That they would get in touch with Samsung to get a credit back,if they could, and if they do, then they will give my money back or a credit. And I asked, and if they don't, then what??? He couldn't really say anthing and that pretty much means they will do nothing. This is not customer service and extremely dissapointed.
So with that said, I expect follow up on this matter before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Online purchase follow through awful

I purchased a TV online on 13-Mar-2024, a shipping label was created. After a week of no updates I reached out asking why it had not shipped. They responded saying that they had to check with the shipping center. I stated if it had not sent the order I would cancel and go in store. They proceeded to send it that afternoon anyways. I stated I wanted a refund as it was going to talk a chunk of time to get the tv, and they offered to return to sender. I asked how long a process this would take and they stated a couple weeks. I asked them to send it and informed I would return in store as I was not a fan of how it was dealt with and would like to take my business elsewhere. It took another week for my delivery date. One the delivery date it was returned to sender despite me SPECIFICALLY requesting it not be. I reached out asking again for my refund. They stated they could not until it had been fully returned. I asked for a timeline of what that would look like and requested a phone number so I could converse with a person rather than waiting hours between email responses. It has been half a day and I have not heard about either inquiry since. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and the consistent direct ignorance towards what I asked to have done or explained, then not giving me ANY further answers or help in sorting it out. I am appalled by the disrespect and incompetence.

The worst customer experience of my life

I purchased a Refurbished TV online on 2023-12-20.

Product received on 2023-12-27. Beaten up / taped up box. 50+ clusters of dead pixels or what appears like dirt stuck behind the panel. Bottom right visual issues, bent leg. I contacted the company the very same day, as they have an extremely strict policy where they will reject all claims made past 24h upon receiving a product.

They never replied.

I wrote again on 2024-01-08, this time threatening to file a credit card chargeback.

No reply.

Credit card chargeback filed on 2024-01-15.

On 2024-01-29, Visions replied with a mere pre-written email template claiming I could return the TV (800km drive for me), or ask for a refund, but I'm responsible for sending it back (how?) and I may be charged shipping fees at their discretion. The template never addressed the claims I made in my previous 2 emails, nor did it apologize for any inconvenience. Their email was also sent more than 30 days after my first email to them, which is past their own return period.

On this same day, I called my bank to inquire as to what to do.

On 2024-02-09, my bank called back, we discussed the situation, we agreed Visions was at fault, and the chargeback claim went ahead.

Visions fought back against the claim yet still never tried to contact me to resolve the situation. Based on the same data I had provided my bank, the chargeback claim was ultimately rejected on 2024-03-19, because I still have the product.

On that same day, I then called Visions. This time (of all the times I tried calling), someone answers and says they will look into the situation and get back to me.

On 2024-03-20 (today), I received an email from Visions where I can find my own box and bubble wrap, am responsible for preventing any further damages, and they will refund me upon receiving and inspecting the TV. No mention of an exchange, no proposal of sending me a replacement first so I can send the broken TV back in a proper box.

I stand here today befuddled. Never in my entire life have I gone through such experience. From the very beginning I have communicated proactively. I received a faulty product (which being refurbished, should have been quality tested twice), which is Visions’ fault. I never heard back for more than 30 days. When I finally did, a chargeback request was ongoing, and ultimately, I stand here 3 months after ordering and I’m down over 1k and stuck with a broken TV.

I will not stop fighting until this is resolved, but the countless hours, the anxiety and angst can never be fully compensated.

STAY AWAY.

Don't trust Vision

Bought electronics and had shipped. Arrived damaged in factory packaging with no other protection. I went the their web site and you cannot file a refund request. Called a local store and while on hold found out a help email address. Strict policy is claim within 24 hours of delivery or like me you are SOL because they do not package adequately.

Wish I could give Visions zero stars

Wish I could give Visions zero stars. Our Samsung 85 inch TV came defective and it took 2 months for them to process an exchange. They told us to remove the tv from our wall and package it for it to be picked up on a certain day between the hours of 9-5. I took a day off work to ensure I was home for this pick up but no one came. They picked up the tv over a week after that day only because a store manager was able to contact them as they do not reply to emails or answer the phone. They have not yet sent a new TV weeks later and now visions has my TV and money and not answering my emails. I was supposed to host a Super Bowl party but was now canceled because I do not have the TV I purchased at the beginning of NOVEMBER!!

Incompetency and I question their honesty

I purchased a fridge and stove. The stove was not in stock, and I was told that it would arrive in a week or two, and would be notified when to pick it up. One month later I had not heard back so I called the salesperson. I was told that my stove arrived with a dent. I should have been notified immediately... so when WAS I going to be notified?
I was then offered a different, more expensive model for a discounted price. I declined. I asked the salesperson to take a picture of the "dent." He told me that it was sent back. Again, when was I going to be notified of this situation?
He told me that he could either order it again or get one from a different city. AGAIN... when would I have been contacted about this situation and discussed reordering?
I asked for him to order another one. Apparently it will take two weeks. To be continued...

If I could give Visions a zero that is…

If I could give Visions a zero that is what they would get. I purchased a "damaged box" that apparently was checked out and certified. Well this TV arrived chipped and completely non-functional. OK, this happens, but what is a huge fail on Visions part is that they send you through the ringer trying to get your money back. I placed an online ticket that went nowhere for 2 days. Finally a response asking for more pictures. Then crickets for 2 more days. I called their contact number (which is NOT listed on the site, got it from a visions store). I was told it would take weeks, like 3 weeks for someone to review my claim. I said this was unacceptable and asked for a manager. I was put on hold for 15 minutes before someone came back to say they would call me back. No call back. 2 days later and multiple email attempts. When I call the line now, after 20 minutes on hold they say "nobody can take your call, callback later" and then disconnect. I will NEVER buy anything from these guys again. Hope I get my $1000 back at some point. Calling my credit card company.

Don't buy anything online with them

I don't know about your stores but the online experience is a garbage, stupid f****** one.
They don't have a customer phone number and they do not reply to email either. Purolator is their delivery service and they don't give a fack for it either.

Zero stars!!!! Purchased a Dyson…

Zero stars!!!!Purchased a Dyson vacuum.. After only 1 use I realized it was not for me for several reasons. When my husband went to return it they would not accept it even thought their web page say's "If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply bring it back to a store and we'll gladly return or exchange it within 30 days* of purchase." Then when I called to speak to the manager about it he would not return my call nor my email.
I wish I had purchased it anywhere else because then I could have returned it . Even Dyson Canada said they should accept the return

Don’t shop online at visions

I’m with the people who want to leave no or negative stars. Ordered speakers online over a month ago, where it states 3-5 business days for delivery. Two different tracking numbers, one for purolator that just states packing label created, and Canada post one just states delayed, in transit (though after contacting 5hem they can’t find).
I have submitted 3 different tickets to visions with no response. Finally found a help desk number, where recording just states 11 min wait (saw that on another review) then after waiting forever it states no one available and disconnects. Local store says they can’t do anything but gave me head office number. Head office told me to submit a ticket or call help desk number.
I just want my money back at this point but not sure how to do that since I can’t get a hold of anyone. Had purchased a bunch more items in store to go with what I ordered online, took it all back today, I will shop elsewhere from now on and I suggest everyone else do so as well.

Computer is great when it works

Computer is great when it works, however, the first computer I ordered (CyberPower PC; i9, RTX4070) had a cracked panel and would power off during game. Visions told me I didn't need the cracked panel so I threw it out, just to be told that I needed it and was charged for the panel. I received the second computer after paying for the cracked panel replacement, to receive another computer that had a cracked panel. I am now in the process of returning the cracked panel to CyberSource PC to receive the new one. This all happened at the St. James location, never have had issues with the Pembina location before after buying thousands of dollars worth of electronics.

TL:DR - If you're buying a computer from them, have them open the computer and show you the quality before you bring it home, never throw out anything from the box and always keep the boxes

Very disappointed that my 11 month old Hisense TV warranty was not honoured by Hisense or Visions Electronics, Apparently I put my thumb on the screen near the frame and destroyed the entire pixel arrangement. The screen would only display rows of vertical red lines.
No warranty for willful damage they say.

Dont go to the west end visions store in edmonton scammers

Don't waste your gas or time to buy at this store especially on boxing day or black friday they are scamming people with small scams going on! I went to purchase a Kingston 128gb Micro SD card on boxing for $5 as per there boxing day advertising. So I drove there from the far west end wasting my gas to get it today. Went into west end Visions store and one lady was going through bills beside the lady at the till dealing with a large line up of people. I ask her is they have the sd card advertised and she says yes and points to the wall but I need to get in line. No problem so I get in the line for 20 min because most people are buying large tvs being checked waiting in front of me and there is only one lady at the till of course. Finally I get to the front till and ask the lady for the SD memory card being advertised and she goes the wall gets one so far so good. She hands it to me and then she tells me oh by the way we ran out of the sd card advertised this one is $10 instead! I look at it seemed to be the exact same card advertised the Kingston 128gb card I saw. It seems seems they are advertising good deals but then when people go to the store they ripping them off by putting them on the spot! I am sure the lady heard me ask about it when I got in the store as they were standing close together. Don't buy at the west end store they are crooks! I will never go to this store again they lost a long term customer. This visions has really gone done the drain in the last several years.
