I will start this review with a caveat, we have owned three Vispring Devonshire mattresses in our lifetime and all but the last one have been spectacular. We had an issue with our last one and whilst any support was initially denied (settling was within tolerance), Mark from Vispring reached out and quite frankly gave us the best customer service that we have ever received. (He 100% deserves a bonus this year).
We are now the proud owners of a new mattress and we now have the tools (regular turning and flipping) to help us keep the mattress in tip top shape for as long as possible. We were not made aware but natural mattresses will always settle and contour to the bodys shape and so moving forward, we can be a bit more careful.
I don't need to wax lyrical about the mattresses because chances are if you have owned one or tried one in a furniture store you will know that their product is unbeatable. It's a British brand with a wonderful history and did you know they furnished the suites on the titanic? I sure didn't...
Anyway, the mattresses and divans are excellent but in addition to that, the customer service is 100% perfect. What does that mean? It means you can buy a Vispring mattress knowing that you've got a 30 year guarantee which is backed up by the sharpest and most emphatic customer service team in the UK.
Yes, they seem expensive but sleep is an investment. We spend a long time (cumulatively) in bed and it's important that we make the right choice when it comes to bedding, beds and mattresses. For the latter, just use Vispring.
Thanks again for turning this frown upside down and we will continue to sing Vispring's praises at every opportunity.

This mattress is incredibly comfortable—supportive and soft. The materials feel high-quality, and I’ve been sleeping better since day one. Customer service was also excellent: responsive, helpful, and quick to resolve my questions. Overall, a great product

Great customer service, so helpful and honest! I am so impressed with my mattress and the quality duvet I purchased. A good night sleep is imperative so thank you Vispring.

I needed some advice on replacing an old mattress. I think Mark Ashworth, Customer Services Leader, went above and beyond. It’s certainly a vote of Five Stars from me!

My partner and I went to the Vispring Flagship Store, on Regent Street, as we needed a new mattress but were confused about all the different options, and prices! Edward took good care of us, with a no pressure explanation of what things we should look for, and how to choose a mattress best for us. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and helpful, and it was a relief to be able to test the mattresses away from the crowded department stores. Decide for yourselves about whether you want a Vispring mattress, but we cannot fault the shopping experience at Regent Street with Edward. Thanks!

I have been looking for a new bed for sometime, I have purchased a few from some "big name" retailers" with minimal help I have always felt let down and not as comfortable as the "quality purchase" should have left me. However having had some extensive advise about what too look for in a mattress and how they work for example tension, weight etc all being mitigating factors. I invested in the luxury brand of Vispring in the hope I would be able to experience the comfort I have been chasing. The service was second to none and the quality of the product has been exceptional, I am 4 months in and exceptionally pleased I have taken the advice on board and invested in my comfort! Thank you Vispring exceptional work!

We have had a Vispring king size divan for a number of years now and it remains as comfortable as ever.
A few months ago, some of the mattress tufts became detached and having contacted Vispring via the shop we bough the bed from they arranged for some technicians to visit us and replace the tufts under their amazing 30-year guarantee.
More recently we were fortunate enough to acquire a full sized headboard to replace the original strutted one, but it didn't come with the brackets to fix it to the divan base. After making a phone call to Vispring customer service the required brackets arrived in the post a few days later, and at no cost!

Vispring Mattress. Overrated & Overpriced UPDATE
I chose the Devonshire medium Vispring mattress in January 2025 because I sleep on my side. I find it is too firm and prefer my previous memory foam mattress for comfort.
Glasswells were very unhelpful when I asked about changing it and were not aware of Visprings 30 to 90 day comfort promise. I had to contact Vispring to change the mattress to the soft version.
Update. 02/11/25
I was allowed to change to a soft version of above mattress, although more comfortable it is too soft to support me. It has caused chronic lower back pain. So I have wasted over £2000 on a mattress that causes me pain in more than one way.
Update 5/11/2025 : In your reply below you are correct in stating someone tested it for faults, the test was totally unnecessary because the issue wasn't a manufacturing fault. The bed is too soft for my weight, and is causing back pain, full stop. I can't see any reason to contact Glasswells customer service again because you have been unhelpful from the start until Vispring got involved. So unless you have a new solution. It looks like I am stuck with a expensive mattress I do not want.

Thank you for sharing your experience.
You purchased a Vispring Devonshire Medium mattress in January 2025, delivered in February. When you found it a little firm, we explained Vispring’s advice to allow time for natural settlement, as the fillings soften with use.
In May, you chose to use Vispring’s 90-Day Comfort Promise, which offers a one-time exchange to a softer tension. The details were confirmed in writing, and your replacement mattress was delivered in June.
You later found the softer version too soft, and Vispring arranged an independent inspection in August, which confirmed there were no manufacturing faults.
The Comfort Promise allows a single exchange, which has been completed in full. We appreciate that comfort is very personal and that finding the right feel can take time. Our customer care team is always available if you’d like to discuss this further.

UPDATE March 2026. Vispring have kindly replaced the mattress again back to Medium tension. So I have adjusted rating to 3 stars

I am currently being a very annoying potential Vispring customer and have called them three times now and still emailing Wendy for advice. She is SO helpful, has such knowledge of the brand (I think she said she has worked for Vispring for 26 years!) and I am finding her expertise invaluable. As a result I am nearly there with specifying my new Vispring divan, mattress and headboard which, without Wendy's help and my huge indecisiveness, would be virtually impossible. I am SO excited! Thank you Wendy and Vispring!

I purchased a Vispring Bed from Furniture Village. It started sagging on day 1. I was horrified as it was for me at £3700 an expensive bed. It took three months to get an inspector out who immediately said the bed was prematurely collapsing. Told I would be advised in 10 days what would happen, circumvented this by calling Furniture Village. 3 days later I am told I have to have another Vispring replacement no choice. I have lost faith, especially when I read other reviews. Day four I am told the replacement will take 5 to6 weeks. I have asked for a refund. At one point I called Vispring and spoke to a somewhat snippy telephonist who told me I was underweight and had been sold the wrong mattress. Untrue.

We purchased our 2nd super king size Vi-Spring which after 8 years had become W shaped and lost many of its fluffy retaining buttons each side.
With the long Vi-Spring warranty in mind we contacted them with our receipt to hand, according to the retailers instructions only to be told they no longer deal with warranty activities.
These have now been farmed out to a third party called Emmiera Group. After many "trick" type activities such as:
a) "We have tried to phone you" yet no contact or missed calls show on my iPhone. We had to resort to email which they do not like, to get any movement at all.
b) We are sending someone on XX date, but they will not specify what time on the day, so you have to prepare to wait in all day with a days lost income fees.
c) When the day arrives you are only given very short notice of the later actual timed ETA, so you have indeed wasted your whole day.
d) In our instance they did not even then bother to turn up, having wasted a whole day.
e) When finally someone did eventually turn up on another day with the same wasted day rigmarole, they announced that changing the fluffy buttons was a two man job. Which of course they must have known from the job sheet....
From our perspective the Vi-Spring warranty did not function and was a waste of our money.
Interested parties may like to check Vi-Spring Limited's (co number 0071430) recent returns at companies house which show higher than expected levels of gross profit of £38m on a turnover of £52m.......
After much to and fro we gave up pursuing Vi-Spring and have just ordered a super king size from Harrison Spinks, only because it seems unlikely they could be really any worse than Vi-Spring.......

We recently visited the Vispring Flagship Store on Regent Street, St James’s, and were looked after by Edward Pritchard. He was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process, taking the time to show us the full range and explain all the options in detail. Edward answered all of our follow-up questions quickly and professionally, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
A great sales experience overall. We've been left feeling confident that we had chosen the perfect bed. Highly recommended!

I have bought a dual tension mattress medium firm half and half. Its started sagging by year 4 despite the fact we are both light weight people. By year 7 it was unbearable. I contacted Vi Spring who sent us to Furniture Village. It was deemed to be a ' normal sagging process' WHAT? two very deep dips in the mattress with a 30 year guarantee are completely normal? The guarantee is worthless despite the fact its a clear structural fault. Vi Spring offered nothing. Its interesting there are other customers complaing about the same issue on this website.

Mattress and beds of the highest quality. Always tricky making a decision about a mattress in a shop though so was really pleased to be able to use VSpring’s comfort guarantee. Brilliant service.

excellent product. Very knowledgeable staff. Edward was a pleasure to talk with and educated us greatly on sleeping habits and helped us choose the right mattress for us. Alicia has been a pleasure to deal with. Thank you!

Avoid the Vispring Traditional Bedstead mattress if you are a hot sleeper. The mattress doesn't disperse body heat and stays very warm to the touch even after 20 mins of exiting the bed. I bake all night and wake throughout the night dehydrated, I don't have a problem on other makes of mattress so there is an issue with the Vispring fillings. The quality isn't what is advertised and customer services deny the issue. I tried it for a year and it's got no better so will go back to my old mattress which is lovely and cool and gives a good night's sleep . Avoid Vispring if you want a good and restful night's sleep.

We have a Vi Spring King Size mattress bought about 4 years ago. Last year we notice a definite depression on both sides, we referred this to Vi Spring who said we had to go back to the store we bought it from. They sent someone to look at it declared that it was "within the Vi Spring tolerances" and suggested that one of us should lie in the middle for a few months.
Having seen this, we were contacted by Vi-spring who wanted happy customers. They pointed out that, when buying the Dartington, we should have been warned that these were designed to adapt to the sleepers shape. For a more stable mattress we should have chosen something else. Vi-Spring advised me more stable options and offered to replace the mattress. We now have a Herald Superb that seems to be much more stable. It is early days yet but we were impressed by Vi-springs attitude and hope for better experience with this mattress

Three deliveries later, and my Vispring bed is still unusable. Despite assurances that the product would be checked at the factory, the same flawed frame was delivered each time — visibly tilted, with a 2cm height discrepancy between the head and the foot of the bed.
Vispring claimed everything was inspected prior to shipping: that is simply not true.
An independent technician confirmed what I suspected: this may be a systemic production issue on Vispring’s line. Yet no one at Vispring has responded seriously.
Add to that chaotic communication, broken promises (three toppers promised, only two delivered), and no accountability whatsoever since April.
For a brand that claims excellence and craftsmanship, the reality is nowhere near the standard expected.
Still waiting for a real solution from Vispring — or their retail partner.

I bought a Vispring mattress 5–6 years ago for our guest bedroom. It’s been used once a week by my elderly parents, who are both very light in weight. It’s been regularly turned as per the guidelines.
Despite such light use, the mattress has already sagged — enough to make it uncomfortable and give my mum backache. I weigh just 7 stone myself and even I find it uncomfortable.
Vispring sent out an assessor who confirmed the mattress had sagged by 2–3cm on both sides, but apparently this doesn’t qualify for replacement unless the sag reaches 6cm! Even cheaper brands like Dreams have more reasonable tolerances. For a premium mattress with a “lifetime guarantee,” this is incredibly disappointing.
We also own a Tempur mattress that has lasted over 10 years with daily use and still feels like new. Vispring, on the other hand, has been a complete letdown. I would never spend money with this company again — the warranty means nothing and the quality is clearly not what it claims to be.
