Extremely happy with my bed, and the aftercare provided by Hastens.

Our overall experience with Hästens has been excellent - everything from figuring out which bed would suit us, to the after-care services (thank you Alex and Elliot!). We're extremely satisfied with our Hästens bed.

The whole process from start to finish has been nothing but smooth and seamless. The turnaround time for our bed was impressively quick and everything was tailored perfectly to our preferences, which made the experience feel very personal.
We’ve also just had our first service, both Alex and Elliott were excellent. They were professional, knowledgeable and took the time to talk me through every step of the process, explaining what they were doing and why it’s important for achieving the best sleep and maintaining the bed properly.
A nice touch was that they even hoovered the bed using their own equipment which really showed attention to detail and care.
Overall, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and really appreciate the ongoing support and expert advice on how to maintain it properly.

$15,000 Hastens Bed Failed—Warranty Not Honored

I purchased a Hastens Aurora bed for approximately $15,000, sold with a 25-year warranty. After 10 years, the bed sagged so severely that my wife and I can no longer sleep on it without experiencing back pain.

Hastens acknowledged this as a manufacturing defect and claims to have resolved the issue in newer models. Yet instead of honouring the warranty, they offered a 15% discount on a replacement bed priced between $22,000 -$56,000.

This is not a solution—it’s an insult. A luxury brand should stand behind its products and its promises. I cannot recommend Hastens Beds based on this experience. Their warranty is meaningless! For a highly-priced bed this should be a major consideration for all purchasers as Hastens do not stand behind their products.

I bought a Hastens 2000T in 2016/17 from the downtown Toronto store.
After going to a local hotel to try out the medium mattress Nick sent firmer one to our condo for a night.
He talked us into the soft mattress.
It has caused back problems almost immediately. In fairness, age has made it worse, but unlike the mattress it didn’t cause it overnight.
Like any expensive thing, we’ve held onto it only because it was so expensive. But that’s a poor reason to have back problems.
We’re now looking for a more comfortable mattress at probably less than 10% of the cost.
I enquired about a firmer mattress from Hastens but it came close to the original bed cost. And there are no returns.
We’ve decided toss the Hastens mattress, find a comfortable non-Hastens mattress that we can test, return if it’s not right, and put it on the Hastens box springs.
But the existing combination has to go.

They don't offer returns, even after a week. That should tell you everything you need to know. The bed is hard as a rock, nothing like the soft bed I tried in the store. They say it takes time to break in and make it soft, but I guess I'm just supposed to trust them and eat the cost in the mean time since they offer no guarantee or refund schedule. Just bad. Avoid this brand at all costs.

Bought a 2000T matress from Markham store and Nick was a fabulous salesperson. However, there have been numerous issues that have occurred and we have lost all faith in them. We regret purchasing the mattress. The mattress is close to 100 grand and they take half up front. It was supposed to take no more than 8 to 10 weeks and took four and a half months to arrive, no explanation given. There have been numerous mistakes made along the way and nominal compensation and no apologies given . Also, the smell of the mattress is off putting, it smells like a barnyard. We have only had ours for five days, so hopefully the smell will dissipate. Also, the comfort is not great, both of us are experiencing low back pain. We really regret this decision and want to warn others.

Terrible experience. This bed costs more than 50k€ and after a mere 2years our body-imprints are showing. We're sporty & slim-built individuals weighing 65 & 70kg.
Don't bother contacting customer service: "You don't massage your bed enough or incorrectly." It's always your fault.

Don't fall for this marketing-stunt. Don't trust awards based on a one-night-sleep in a certain mattress. Ask people who've been sleeping on them for years.

I purchased a Hasten mattress (Model name Novoria firm) approximately 8 years ago with the expectation of superior quality and durability. However, my experience with this mattress has been deeply disappointing.

After about 6 years of use, the mattress started to deteriorate rapidly. It became softer, the middle sank, and all four sides began to bulge, causing discomfort and disrupted sleep. Despite my concerns, an in-home inspection conducted by Hasten concluded that the mattress was still in good shape, which contradicted the obvious signs of out of shape, as evidenced by photos (not to be posted here)

Furthermore, instead of addressing the issues with the Novoria mattress, Hasten suggested that I purchase a new model named Eala, which is essentially a modified and rebranded version of the Novoria. Additionally, they recommended abandoning my adjustable base in favor of a regular Maranga base.

The lack of transparency and accountability from Hasten is unacceptable. If I had been informed before purchasing that the mattress would require replacement after just 6 years of use, I would have reconsidered my decision. Moreover, their explanation for the bulging sides of the mattress as a natural occurrence is unconvincing, as a high-quality mattress should maintain its integrity over time.

Overall, I am deeply disappointed with Hasten's products, as they do not live up to the promised quality and durability.

bought a bed 17 years ago with 25 year guarantee, there are now holes in the bed we don't know where the holes are from. The store sent pictures of the holes to Sweden and they offer us a bedrok to cover the holes. That is definitely not the service we paid so much money for 17 years ago. We are very dissapointed in Hastens

I have bought Hästen beds before och had great sleep for years. Sadly the one I tried out and bought in Portugal is too soft and the response from Hästen Portugal is this is "sorry but we take no responsibility for the result but you are welcome to buy a new mattress so your bed works for you". I strongly recommend staying away from this company.

I had heard of Hästens through an interior designer friend and decided to check out their showroom in NYC one day just for fun and to pick up one of the cute sleep masks. The salesperson was really friendly, gave me a free hour long session trying each bed in a calm quiet "sleep spa."

I knew that I was going to like it, but I really really liked it. When he told me their base model is the 2000T I knew that I couldn't afford it. Something like 10-40K retail, but I kept the thought in the back of my mind, maybe some day I could afford it. And as I walked out the salesman gave me a small bag with the sleeping mask I had asked about -- For free!

This left such an impression on me, that when the time came to actually buy a bed maybe 2-3 years later.. I decided to ask them if they had one in my budget range. They helped me find the perfect model, at a generous discount and I've been sleeping on it for 3 months now. I've read this from other people and I have to agree... one of the best purchases I've ever made. I love the lightweight springy feel to the bed like you're floating, and the peace of mind to know that it's made from natural materials. There's a reason why the price is so high - you're paying for quality, expertise, as they're the oldest mattress company still in business, and of course you're paying for the brand name. It's not a status symbol, it's a personal sanctuary for me and I rest better than I ever have.

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Hasten by Nahal. She was super knowledgeable and clearly excited about the brand but also my journey. I didn’t buy a bed that day but I did purchase the slippers. Great customer service.

We discovered Hastens beds at the Nest. It was kind of a game changer. We decided to investigate for a similar bed at home.
At Hastens Brussels, we have been kindly received and all information were nicely provided. This is a top team and follow-up from the beginning to the end was frictionless. I truly recommend to go and visit them. Our nights have tremendously improved.

We ordered two Hastens Excel single beds back in 2020 with the best top mattress they had to go with it. We ordered the "hard" version as we thought that would suit us. There is nothing wrong with the people in the shop who sold us the bed, but i have to say these beds we ordered are simply awful. We have the worst sleep every night myself and my wife, our backs are in pain and we both get frozen backs too which we didnt get before. It is probably best to try beforehand whether medium or hard suits you best, but thats also very difficult to know by laying on one for 30 seconds in the shop. When i called the shop to say after 18months that we really thought they were bad, we just got offered a 20% discount to buy another one... Honestly the best way to go is just to buy a bedframe and get the best mattress on the market. Some of these lower end beds like Excel by Hastens which still cost 40k+ DKK may have been good quality in 1985, but technology has moved on. Simply we have paid for the brand and got a terrible product at the price.
