Alicia really knows her beds, and VSpring Regent Street have a great range. I didn't know that the best mattress for me is determined by my weight. Trying out different beds proved it!

Just bought a Herald Superb mattress and Divan to complement a 40 yr old set bought by my parents which is still in daily use. Looking forward to many years use out of the new one. The quality and comfort of the new product is every bit as good as described in the catalogue and tried out at Gillies, Perth. They in turn provided an excellent all round buying and delivery service.

UPDATE. 15/10/2024 rating now 5+
Well after several e mails to Land of beds who were very unhelpful Martine from Vispring contacted me she was very concerned that i was not given the correct information regarding the recommended body weights for these mattresses. As a result Vispring will speak directly to Land of beds and have offered me two replacement beds of the correct tension. What can i say but Thank you and i must say excellent customer service from Vispring. Unfortunately cannot say the same from land of beds............
Mattress honest review
So I bought two of these 3 foot mattresses 20 months ago to replace a six foot one. After about one year my wife was complaining of knee and back ache. I then too started to be uncomfortable sleeping at night and kept waking up having to turn over. When the weather became warmer i changed my quilt to a thin sheet and then could clearly see that both the mattresses had sunk in the middle. I tried to claim on the laughable 30 year warranty that these mattresses have and was told that it was normal and within the tolerance That a 1 year the mattress would settle by up to 4.5cm. WHAT the mattress is only 18cm in depth. If I wanted to buy a Hammock I would have done so. Anyway I've had no joy with replacing the mattress so just a warning if on the look out for a new bed don't buy VISPRING or you too will likely get a hammock. If you don't believe me have a look at Trust pilot reviews on Vispring. Just to be clear my wife and I are not over weight and no I was not paid for this review. I thought i would share this as Vispring don't seem to share the tolerance of there beds on there web pages. So does anyone want to but a hammock no oh well its down the dump for this rubbish.

After over 2 decades sleeping very comfortably on a Vispring mattress, we thought perhaps it was time to get a new one! It was easy to get through to the company by phone. They advised us of the product closest to our original and gave a list of local retailers.
Having spent a while lying on several beds in the store we opted for the Baronet Superb. It is aptly named! It is so comfortable! Great service from Vispring and our local Beds are Uzzz.

We purchased a vi-spring bed through furniture village with a lifetime guarantee.
After 15 years of solid use we needed a small repair job, and I mean small, undertaken.
Furniture Village were not very helpful at all (separate review) and it took excellent customer service from Vi-spring, in particular Mark in organising and getting this issue to a swift resolution.
This was very much appreciated

Should have bought the mattress much earlier, a perfect sleep experience, relaxing, comfortable and a very sound sleep.

I visited the VISPRING Regent Street showroom and was totally impressed and delighted with the service I received from Alicia.
There are so many gorgeous mattresses, divan bases, toppers and pillows to choose from, but Alicia guided me towards my perfect choice for comfort and price.
I ordered my new mattress, topper and pillows and now very excited to receive them, made to my specification within just 3 weeks - perfect !
I just hope it won't be too difficult getting up in the mornings after I receive my new bedding !

We bought a pair of Regal Superb mattresses for our existing adjustable bed. Having been sleeping on a foam mattress for over 8 years and recent chemotherapy making me sweat profusely it was time for a change. We were a little sceptical, however Nick at the Bed Specialist in Yeovil was very knowledgeable. My wife and I are different builds, so we were able to tailor the mattresses to our needs and it was great not having to settle for a feel that one of us wasn’t quite happy with. Individual mattresses, individual needs. 8 months in, I can say they are the most comfortable mattresses we have ever slept on. We look forward to going to bed every night and wake up after sleeping so well! Thank you Nick & thank you Vispring

Having a friend who has had Vispring’s beds for years and with wanting to upgrade my own bed - I took the step of purchasing a Vispring
Opulence Topper to go on top of a non Vispring bed. Oh my goodness I can not believe the difference it has made to the comfort of my bed and most importantly my sleep. It is like having a brand new bed and would highly recommend this product.

We bought my elderly Mother a Vispring Baron Superb Divan set in March 2017. Costing over £2000 this was an investment (in her own words) "see her out" having been reassured by the "Lifetime Warranty" included. Regrettably the Warranty is worthless. In recent months she has complained the mattress was uncomfortable but as she has severely distorted vision couldn't "see" any problem. We live 200 miles away so on my last visit I inspected her bed and it was obvious straight away that the mattress was sagging badly (and she only weighs about 8 stone), with an associated loss of cushioning. We therefore contacted the retailer (Barker and Stonehouse) as it seemed obvious to us that this would fall under the Lifetime warranty. They connected us to Vispring to arrange a "Technician visit". This was done quickly but the Technician came from "Emmiera Group" who it appears are subcontracted by ViSpring. The technician arrived with a bag of equipment labelled Baron Superb (so they obviously have plenty of claims for this mattress type) and proceeded to carry out a number of tests before announcing that this was an "invalid warranty claim" against the manufacturer's criteria. He was however unable or unwilling to explain what these criteria were in terms my mother could understand. Most worryingly he then told her she had to sign a document which she could not read due to her eyesight (a disability which she had made clear to him), confirming that the warranty claim was invalid. I consider this to be unethical coercion of a frail and very vulnerable person who was left traumatised by the whole experience. Looking at other reviews on Trustpilot this experience is not unique so in summary we can only conclude that lifetime warranties offered by Vispring are worthless, and customers can expect at least some Vispring mattresses to be unusable after 7 years at best, and possibly a lot less if you weigh more than 8 stone.
Further to this review I can now confirm that after submitting this I was pleasantly surprised to be contacted in person by Vispring senior management. They advised me that only Vispring could decide if a warranty claim would be accepted on receiving the Technician's report, he was not authorised to make this decision and should not have given my mother a document to sign. Other readers may wish to note this! Vispring apologised for my mother's experience and offered to replace the mattress under warranty which we accepted. I am now happy to report that the replacement mattress has been delivered.

We bought a Visprung mattress from John Lewis, Bluewater. It was said to be top quality and with a long guarantee.
Within the guarantee period it developed sags where my wife and I sleep. In accordance with Vissprung's instructions we went back to JL with our issue and provided them with photographs etc. JL contacted Visprung who would not do anything about the issue because there was a small mark on the mattress, far away from the sags. They told JL the mattress had not been properly cared for.
I think Visprung were just not prepared to honour their guarantee. The mark was completely unrelated to the sags.
We just bought a new mattress from JL but needless to say not a Visprung.
Very poor service from a company that had a good reputation.+
UPDATE NOV 24:
I think the problem arose because of miscommunication between JLP and Vispring. As noted above, Vispring did contact me and resolved the problem by providing a new replacement mattress together with a mattress protector and a mattress pad.
The person who dealt with us was Mr Jonny Mitchell. He was very professional and made every effort to make amends for the problems that we had encountered. I thank Vispring for their intervention.
One final comment, for anybody else who has a problem with a Vispring product; although the contract is with the retailer I suggest that they contact Vispring directly.

Vispring used to make luxury mattresses, but the two ones I bought more than a year ago have had multiple issues.
They sag and it feels like you are sleeping on a futon.
Please, please be warned and check out the 'Which?' consumer group reviews before you buy a Vispring. Their mattress ratings are almost at the bottom!
I've complained but unless a spring is broken or the sagging is completely off the scale, Vispring won't do anything about it.
The 30 year guarantee didn't cover any of my issues. You'd think you'd get a new mattress if the ones you received was of a poor quality, but this isn't the case.
Please believe the similar Trustpilot reviews - and don't make the same mistake as me thinking it will be ok.
I don't know what has happened to Vispring, but it is only the product marketing that is luxury.
The actual mattress I received was uncomfortable to sleep in, and not nearly as comfortable as the show room model I tried.

Open Letter to Vi-Spring:-
Nearly 8 years ago, I purchased a Vi-Spring, Devonshire single mattress and divan for £1700 and this was at a sale price. It came with a 30 year guarantee and this combined with the information from the sales brochure and trying out the mattress in store for comfort, convinced me to spend this significant sum on the bed. Extracts from the 102 sales brochure given to me prior to purchase, which I still have retained, include:-
‘The use of British Wool, with its unique strength, resilience and ability to regain and maintain its form in the face of repeated use – produce a sensation of comfort and luxury that will last for years to come.’
‘Expertly manufactured from the finest Vanadium steel our springs display a strength and flexibility that is without equal….By day they readopt their original shape to preserve your bed’s structure for many years to come.’
"Horsetail....Whether from the mane or tail, it contributes unparalleled springiness to our beds….Adding horsetail to a bed is like giving it two million extra springs; the fibre bounces back after compression to restore your mattress’s shape after a restful night’s sleep.’
It has been used by one small, lightweight person and all care advice issued by the manufacturer followed, including weekly or bi-weekly turning and rotating of the mattress.
Given the 30 year guarantee and the information in the sales brochure, I was very dissatisfied to find that by the time the bed was just 7 years of age: the mattress has a sag of 4cm to it – as measured by the Retailer appointed assessor, the Emmiera Group and the mattress is so soft that I have needed to put a MDF board underneath it.
I complained directly to the Managing Director at Vi-Spring and received a response from the Commercial Director. My complaint was not upheld but I do not accept the response and important questions remain unanswered.
The guarantee only covers you for faulty materials and workmanship, not for wear and tear. The Emmiera Group advised me that for sagging, the criteria set by Vi-Spring for ‘faulty’ is as follows: for beds aged 7 to 15 years old, a sag of 7.5cm or more covering an area of at least 20 cm. As the sag in my mattress measured 4cm, this means my bed was not assessed as faulty in terms of sagging.
I have a number of questions:-
1. What is the basis for the above claims in your sales brochure and are they based on any product testing or quality testing?
2. If yes, did the testing reveal that for normal usage and care advice followed that beds aged 7 years old could have a sag of up of 4 cm or more? If the testing did reveal this, then I assert the above stated claims are inconsistent with a sag of this depth in a 7 year old bed, which makes the sales brochure misleading.
3. How do you explain your criteria for faulty for sagging (at least 7.5cm, across a width of at least 20cm for beds aged 7 to 15 years) is consistent with the above quotations inferring durability?
4. What is the criteria for sagging for beds less than 7 years old and more than 15 years old?
5. Why do you not include criteria for faulty in your guarantee terms, which would be fair and transparent for the consumer? Had you included the criteria for faulty for sagging in your guarantee terms, I would not have purchased the bed, as I deem it inconsistent with an expensive, quality product and the information in the sales brochure.
6. Other tests on the mattress carried out by the Emmiera Group include the ‘pressure test’ and ‘lay test’. I have asked you to explain these tests and the criteria for them, but you have not responded at all on these points. I am simply told my mattress has past these tests. From what I could make out, the lay test, consisted of the assessor from the Emmiera Group laying on the bed which I can only assume is a very subjective test. Please can you explain these tests, the criteria for them and the detail of these results for my bed.
7. Why does your product come with a 30 year guarantee, when the criteria set you have set for sagging, render the bed unfit for purpose below the threshold set for sagging?

I have been sleeping on vispring beds for decades and can honestly say they are the best beds i've slept in.
My job involves staying in hotels more often than the average person and i never sleep well. But when i get home I fall into my vispring and immediately feel better.

I had to write this review to thank Edward on the wonderful experience his gave me and my dog nala ! He guided me through every type of mattress and made me feel really comfortable when trying them out ( as this can be a little awkward, pretending to sleep on a shop floor ) I would highly recommend going to the main store in regent street instead of other stockists as he really knows his stuff and you will get a fantastic deal. Kind regards Aidan
