Endless frustration and a waste of money

Had Vodafone internet in Athens for over a year now and it has been nothing short of awful. Multiple disconnects daily rendering it impossible to work from home (a requirement of my job) and unpredictable at best.

When the internet is available, it is shockingly slow (except when popular speed test websites are checked). The router doesn’t work with WiFi extenders so can’t get stable WiFi in any room apart from where the router is (I don’t have a large flat). Even when using wifi in the room of the router, the connection is frequently slow to non-existent.

Support services have done everything from blaming the internal cable, the extenders (which we have stopped using, to no avail), the cables placed by COSMOTE and just about everything else imaginable to avoid responsibility.

The plan I am paying for is not a basic plan, but rather one of the more expensive plans for, what I thought to be, better and faster internet, which I am yet to see.

Absolutely do not use Vodafone for internet unless you like throwing money away and enjoy the game of guessing when you will be able to use your internet (especially fun during important work meetings).

Would give 0 stars if I could.

I haven't had internet for a month (…

I haven't had internet for a month ( since i made the mistake ti sign the cotract )both at home and at my store. If you want to report the problem at the call center you have to wait 2 hours and the sailsman that made the contract doesn't care enough to answer the phone . Now I have to pay the bill for service that I never used. Just stay away from this company .

A relentless communication company

Due to the covid19 conditions, I do not use my mobile phone as often and for economy reasons I did not top up my card for 3 months and my number was deactivated!!! Well done for listening to the needs of our times!!

Is this a joke?

Is this a joke? A contract for a 50mbps internet and we get only 35 mbps, SOMETIMES EVEN 15! Also constant interupts (4-5 times a day if you care to ask). WE ARE TRYING TO WORK HERE! If it happens once i get it, sometimes resets happen. But this is getting out of hand! If i ever get the chance at a personal connection, I AM NOT CHOOSING THIS COMPANY! NEVER! This is sickening!

Going worse year after year

Awful. It is not because of the weak internet , not because of the constant blackouts in my cel , home , wifi , office ... the 1 star they get is because of 1/ the huge deterioration of efficiency and performance i am noticing year after year from 2019 onwards and 2/ the incredibly bad service and attendance i notice whether it is when i call them , e mail them or whatever. Service is everything in their business and i am not sure they train their people to understand this.

Worst internet provider company!

Just don't. Don't. Please don't choose this internet provider, especially if u live in Greece. Go for something else i don't know but don't go with Vodafone. To start off, they lie about the speed they provide you. Also,if u are a gamer i have bad news for you....u are gonna have 400 ping at every single game u play,it doesn't matter u are just gonna have 400 or more, making the game unplayable. Furthermore, i would like to point out that the download speeds and the upload ones are absolutely terrible not only because, (as i previously stated) they lie about the speed the provide but because of the fact that the maximum mbps they offer is 1. Yeah, 1. For example let's say u want to download GTA V which is extremely space-consuming,u are gonna be sitting 3 days on your PC doing nothing just for the game to be downloaded. To sum up, if u have already chosen this company and made the mistake just cancel the contract idk and go for something else, whatever company u choose it doesn't matter, because even myself can provide better internet to people and I bet that every single company in the entire world can offer a better and more stable internet connection.Please don't do the mistakes i made!

If anyone wants to buy Vodafone I suggest him to think about it. I have Vodafone and its one of the worst internet ever. Im lagging a lot and the internet stops working for 5-10 min. It does that at least 4 time per day to me. 1 star without second thought

Worst internet service ever

Worst internet service ever! If I can help some to choose another company, please NEVER vodafone! Never again! 3 months now I am wasting my time trying to contact the Technical Support and fix the connection. Or it is slow or there is no internet.. Right now I am unable to work AGAIN loosing money, because there is no connection. 1 month ago I didn't have internet for 10 days and I had to move to another place with all the equipment of my work.. They start a mantainance without even informing customers to be prepared.. I am loosing customers, time, money and my patience with this company. Nobody will gonna pay me today.. And all the days I wasn't able to work because of Vodafone.. I want to sue you and report Vodafone to all social media about that..

My Honest Review

Bad customer support, taking too long to connect to a technician (average 5-30 minutes waiting time, currently in my 40th minute as I'm writing this). When you call customer support they have an auto speaker asking for your number and not passing it through to the technician making you repeat the number again and again making you lose more time. Liars about contract services regarding the actual, real internet speeds, they called me for a contract upgrade by lying about the lowest speed I would get in the internet (30Mbps contract with guaranteed 25 Mbps minimum internet speed, but in reality I got 18Mbps with many many drops in speed ranging between 0.1Mbps-5Mbps, making me go through the calling process of their customer support that takes too long to connect, in order to arrange for a technician to visit my place to check the speed in person so that they would drop the price on their lying contract). Many problems with this service, they will make you go buy new equipment (splitters, cables) making you believe the current ones are faulty but after doing so you will get the same results. Also hard to give them a rating so I'm glad I found this site to give my honest experience! The worst service I've ever had! Keep away if you don't want to get nerve problems.

Worst telecommunications…

By far the worst telecommunications company they charge whatever they like they make contracts without asking for aproval by the customer customer service is the worst posible to the point that for the most simple request or question you have to go through 5 call forwards and department changes just to get more confused. Agreements on contracts by phone usaually result in in overcharging and changes on provided services that dont agree with the things that the customer agreed to.
I dont recommend anyone even considering to buy their services.

Vodafone Ελλάδα - απαράδεκτοι | Vodafone Greece, untrustworthy

For non contract based customers (i.e. those who top up with money here and there), Vodafone Greece has decided that after 90 days without a refill, they apply an incoming call / msg ban. As offensive as this may sound, it is their rule and -unfortunately- they got an approval for this by a greek authority.
HOWEVER, they have recently removed the notification - warning that in an X number of days, one's account is going to have a ban on incoming if the user doesn't top up again. This is offensive, suspicious and perhaps illegal. It left me twice frustrated in a complicated situation where I couldn't even top up even if I wanted to.

I will happily remove this negative review if I get an official response that the timely notification about an imminent incoming call ban, is back. AND I will test if it really is.

Horrible experience with Vodafone Greece!!
My son is a university student in Athens and had an existing internet connection with Vodafone. During the covid 19 outbreak he returned to Cyprus since April. He changed flats in May 2020 and we completed a transfer application online on May 8 and it was approved, in August we went to the new flat and there was no internet connection even though we've been paying all this time!! We went to the shop and they sent us away saying that we had to call the technical dept. After we called they said something went wrong and that they would come to connect it. That has never happened till this day!! They say there is a technical problem that they can't figure out, and they always say they'll look into it and get back, they never have. We go to the shop, we call, the same excuses!! My son is studying via online classes and is forced to go to friends houses or to cafeterias to get internet access!!! As soon as I can get away from work. I will fly to Athens and sue them for obstructing my son from his studies, destroying his peace of mind and jeopardizing his health from unnecessary exposure to covid 19 by having to go out of his home in order to receive internet access!!

The worst service ever!

Upon my recent return to Athens, Greece I contacted Vodaphone regarding a Mifi Wireless wifi device. The device, together with the simcard, was couriered to my place of residence 7 working days ago. I have been waiting for the device to be activated since then. I have contacted vodaphone on numerous occasions and have spoken to around 8 consultants trying to establish when the device would go live. I was assured, by every consultant, that I would be contacted by the appropriate department. I am still waiting. I can safely say that this has undoubtedly been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
If this is the standard of service which is deemed accepatble by Vodaphone, then I would definitely not recommend them as a service provider.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service! Their chat on the app doesn't work half the time & you end up paying to call them & they are useless anyway.... PayPal payments hasn't worked for over a month. Instead of things getting better they're getting worse every year. Oh and they also told me I can go to Cosmote if I like.
