pessimo atendimento ao cliente

I spent the whole morning trying to contact Vodafone to obtain technical support needed to activate the 2.4 GHz network on my fixed internet service. Each time I waited around 15 minutes on the automatic system without reaching an operator. After about 40 minutes of attempts, I received an SMS saying support could not answer due to technical problems. I also used Vodafone’s customer complaint/contact portal, which cost me another 30 minutes, and I still received no response. Because of this, I could not install my electronic lock at home and lost a morning of work worth 250 €. Very poor customer support.

One of the worst companies in Portugal...

One of the worst companies to hire services in Portugal. Their customer service is poor, inefficient, and repeatedly disregards consumer rights by not honouring contract terms, taking above-average time to reply and sending documentation. They create huge hurdles for simple actions, from changing the contract name to a cancellation. I don´t recommend anyone to use Vodafone, they don´t deserve our money. I have been trying to cancel my simple internet plan for over a month now.

Vodafone lie - they make money from storm devastation.

Vodafone Portugal texted their customers, including me, explaining there would be no extra data charges after the storms effecting Leiria knocked out the internet. However when my bill finally arrived, it was 200 EUR instead of the usual 40EUR. They completely lied and had charged for all extra data costs. Vodafone are making money from people effected by the hurricane. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Very unreliable landline service

For the third time since moving to Vodafone our landline service is broken. It wouldn’t be so bad but my wife has stage 4 cancer and we are expecting a call from the hospital to start another form of chemotherapy. On the previous two occasions the landline has failed it has taken a lot of time and effort to get Vodafone to fix it.

5G is only 50 Mb/s when you buy vodafone GoTotal

I bought vodafone Go Total which claims to be 5G. The connection seems capped at 50 Mb/s which makes the 5G totally useless. The speed is not catastrofically low, but they should tell the buyers. This is on the edge of fraud.

THE REPLY WAS WORSE. Não há "pessoas" disponíveis para conversar.

I paid over 250 euros to get out of my contract. I only wanted a 1 year contract and that is what I asked for. What I got was a 2 year contract. I did not know this because I do not yet speak Portuguese. I was sent a bill for over 250 euros to break the contract. I paid this bill. They have resent the bill. I have bank documents to show this bill was paid. BUT there is no phone numer, email address or store address where I can send this proof of payment. Now it is impossible to contact them to show them the paid bill. There are no "people" to talk to about this. Their AI is so bad it is not able to help. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THERE ARE NO "PEOPLE" THERE!

THERE REPLY DID NOT HELP! NO ENGLISH AT THE PHONE NUMBER, NOT ABLE TO LOG INTO THE WEB SITE AND THERE AI, TOBI IS NOT HELPFULL.
THIS TRUELY IS A COMPANY FROM HELL!!!!!!!

They take your money and don't supply eSIM

I purchased 2 Vodafone travelers esims through the Vodafone online store and received only one. I tried for 3 days to get activation. Almost impossible to speak or chat or email with anyone. They told me to go to a store, but I'm not in Portugal! I will have no service when I arrive. They don't care, they take your money and then you are on your own.

How to lose a customer in one easy step.

I went into the Vodafone store in Lagos to enquire about home broadband as a new customer. They were helpful enough but couldn't answer some of my technical questions. The salesman promised that an engineer would call me back within one or two weeks. I then went home and saw the online reviews for the company and started to reconsider. I need not have bothered because they never called me back and that was almost a year ago.

Cascais Loja

Cascais Loja: Simple request to migrate WiFi from old residence to new became, of course, a character building experience. A Vodaphone invoice from another Vodaphone store was “garbage”. Cannot get a technician to hook unless a 2 year contract is signed says the Cascais Vodaphone office. Waiting for technicians now, Cascais forced a contract. Service rep at Vodaphone store assured that a phone call be made by technicians for appointment. Non, non. Some messaged text with a broken link did not work so a third call to rep assured an appointment is confirmed. The store rep did not bother to make the appointment when I was at the store counter. Almost had to make a third trip!! What is wrong with these depressed personnel with the total incapacity to be helpful? Sullen and belligerent.

Misleading Information and Poorly Managed Pre-Order Process

The pre-order process was a complete mess. I kept getting contradictory answers every time I called — first I was told the product was reserved and just delayed by logistics, then suddenly it turned into a stock issue. Misleading information like this makes the whole pre-order system unreliable and frustrating. Customers deserve clarity, not confusion.

Worst system for customer service and website of any mobile phone company

Vodafone Portugal has the worst system for customer service and website of any mobile phone company! I have had problems paying my bill in the past because of so many website glitches, I don't live in Portugal anymore so I cannot access the app, and their customer service has NO live people, only AI, in Porguguese. It is simply awful. This month I cannot pay at all, after about 8 attempts with 3 different credit cards, I give up. Their website simply doesn't work. I will now be in payment default because of Vodafone's issues.

Not recommended!

bought a data esim for portugal online.
First problem: the esim activation fails with an error.
Second problem: the chat system used to get support disconnects a lot, making me loose the connection to the agent, so not possible to solve the issue.
Conclusion: DO NOT BUY VODAFONE ESIM!!!

UPDATE: after the reply from vodafone below, I try to use the contact form on the website. But unfortunately the poor quality of the support systems continue to be a problem. In this case not a chat system that disconnect again and again, but a form that only accepts portuguese telephone number validation. Stuck again.
