Unsafe and terribly managed company
This company has dumped dozens of bikes and scooters on a street in Lambeth, right next to a primary school. They have taken over the parking bays/road lane and a junction, making it unsafe for pedestrians.
Nobody wants to use them because they’re not allowed to park by Balham station.
When reporting dumped bikes through the website and email, they claim there are ‘none here’, while they continue to pile up. Something is seriously wrong with their management and tracking system.

Voi are irresponsible and unresponsive - avoid at all costs! They dump bikes outside of parking spaces, invading the road and going over the curb and when we complained they refused to do anything about it. Expect terrible customer services.

It's the bad app ever becarefull it's really so bad they will not end your ride even if you are on the parking then you will pay so much expensive then taking a Uber
This is the worst company and app for…
This is the worst company and app for renting bikes in London. Yesterday I used them for the first time and bought the 300-minute bundle. I rode the bike several times and, each time I finished, I parked it and unlocked a different bike. Instead of all my usage being drawn from the 300-minute bundle, they charged me for a new bundle I didn’t order. As a result, instead of paying £24.99, I ended up paying £42.96.
I spoke with them via live chat, on the phone, and by email, but all three channels were unhelpful and insisted that I must pay the extra charges.
I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. I’ve been using Lime and Santander for years and have never had this issue.
Their customer service is a complete joke.
Terrible e-bike parking experience
I would strongly recommend never wasting your time, money and energy using their e-bikes. I signed up with 3 free rides but alas, for the first 2 rides I was in fact charged £5 then £4. The reason was because for both rides, I was forced to spend 20-30 mins biking to an allocated parking spot that was extremely far from my destination, which exceeded their "free 30 mins" - otherwise, the app wouldn't let me stop the journey.
Bizarrely, I actually picked my bike up from a no-parking zone and there were plenty of bikes available within the no-parking zone. However when you're actually on the bike, huge swathes of London are no parking zones and you can't actually park anywhere. In addition, when you are trying to navigate to a parking zone in the app, the navigation function is so poor that it always tells you you are going in the wrong direction, even when it's the right direction. So you waste time trying to change directions first, before then wasting your time trying to find these elusive parking spots 20 mins away from where you're going.
The first time I used it, I had to catch a tube to my destination from the parking station, which defeats the purpose entirely. I can't believe I even used it a second time thinking that the experience might be better.
I'll never set foot on one of these bikes again and I can't believe this hopelessly deficient service was allowed to launch at all.

Vehicles are left abandoned in the street blocking traffic. Can’t be maintained well by the state of them either
Absolutely appalling customer service…
Absolutely appalling customer service and complete failure to deal with a straightforward issue.
I first reported Voi bikes being repeatedly left outside residential properties on a busy TfL red route on 9 June. Since then, I have contacted Voi three separate times and involved Hounslow Council. Despite being made fully aware of the problem, Voi has failed to take effective action.
Multiple Voi bikes continue to be abandoned outside homes, despite there being a designated cycle parking bay opposite. The area has effectively become a Voi dumping ground and pick-up point, with residents left to deal with the consequences.
This is not a one-off incident. It is an ongoing problem that affects my ability to safely manoeuvre into and out of my driveway and park on the red route. It also creates unnecessary obstruction and raises concerns for pedestrians, elderly residents and people using mobility aids.
What is most disappointing is the apparent lack of accountability. Customers and residents should not have to repeatedly chase an operator to correct the same issue over and over again. Once notified, I would expect a company to act promptly and prevent the problem recurring. Instead, I have been ignored while the situation has continued.
Voi promotes itself as a responsible transport provider. Unfortunately, my experience has been the exact opposite. After three reports and no meaningful resolution, I have little confidence in Voi’s willingness or ability to manage its scheme responsibly.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Voi.
Parking is a d*mn nightmare.
This ride itself was pretty good. I liked that I could go up steep hills with little effort. The bikes are pretty heavy, so they’re not great for everyone, especially when you try to move it by hand. One of the MAJOR downfalls was parking. I spent way too long trying to end my ride because I wasn’t in a “designated parking area”; I put it in a bike rack at my university (there was even another bike there) and it wouldn’t let me park. The only available parking area was 20 minutes away since the nearest one was at full capacity. It took 15 minutes of me standing there to finally end the ride. There needs to be a better and easier way to end rides, especially when they are put in public bike racks and other safe locations.
Phone holder dropped my phone and…
Phone holder dropped my phone and smashed it to bits, never had this on life or forest bikes. They then have the audacity to blame me for it.
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THEY ARE THIEVES
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THEY ARE THIEVES, STAY AWAY FROM THEM, GOT CHARGED £8 FOR 15 MINUTES.
IF I COULD GIVE LESS THAN A STAR I WON'T HESITATE.
Fleeced
Really expensive compared to Lime. I live in Oxford and Lime bikes are usually hard to find a free one so used Voi a couple of times to get home. Was shocked at so expensive Voi are - 8 pounds, well over double the price of Lime and even the bus!
Shame cos the bikes ride quite well too
Scam for sure…
Free first 3 rides offer was a scam ended up charging me 6 pounds on first ride 😂.
They could have not let the user pickup from somewhere there's no parking. I picked it from a cycle parking area but when I returned back to the same spot after completing my free 15min ride, it didn't let me end the trip and the nearest parking spot it showed was again 15-20min cycling from that spot. Although I ended it using their chat feature, it costed me 6 pounds in total.
This is definitely a scam, first ride can't be more scary than this 😂😂
Ridiculous parking requirements
Ridiculous parking requirements. If the zone is for parking let me park there. Don’t tell me to cycle further from where I want to go. It would have been quicker and more pleasant walking. This needs changed.
Money taken out after years of not using it
I hadn’t used Voi in a few years, and today they took money from my account which I didn’t authorise. PayPal checked and it was straight from Voi, I couldn’t get refunded because my PayPal was linked with the Voi account so it was authorised correctly as an automatic payment. Had to delete my Voi account and App to stop this happening again.
Not normal
Not normal, unlock for 100 meters to cach up with tbane and charged me 70 nok
Do not choose VOI services, go for Lime, Bolt or anything else
I live in Belgium and decided to use voi steps to go to work. They charge 5eu warranty calculate your ride and refund the diffrence. The first time things went wrong with the app. I ended up paying 3 time 5eu warranty for 1 ride. I had to email them and luckily got refunded after a whole verification of my account. A huge waste of energy and time. The second time i thought of taking a subscription of 12,99eu a month since that would only cost me 1 euro per ride. But what i didnt know was that they still charged the 5eu warranty. So you pay 12,99eu a month PLUS 5eu/ride PLUS 1euro/ride. So i thought why pay 5eu plus 1 eu. But its not mentioned in the subscription. I emailed them and they said thats how it it. Yet after my email mysteriously the 5eu warranty per ride dropped and i ended up paying the 1eu per ride as mentioned in the subscription fees. Weird. They probably didnt want to refund me. I didnt have the energy to figure this out and was just happy to pay 1eu per ride (plus 12,99eu). But then one day my card got declined. And after fixing the problem with my card, i had to pay 5euro AGAIN PLUS 1 EUR per ride. And nig being refunded or payed back the 5eu. The services are truely messed up. I emailed them AGAIN. Demanding an explanation. Long story short VOI owes me 1 x 12,99eu. 5 x 5eu and other refunds i m still calculating from previous months. I asked them to stop my subscription immediately. They said if i cancelled immediately i would not be refunded. So i have to wait until my money is payed back before canceling my subscription. And guess what. It s the start of the month which means i will have to pay my subscription for this month before receiving my money. So thats a waste too. I m extremely disappointed by the voi services and am switching to bolt or lime. Pure ripp off. Not to mention my brother s experience with voi. He s been paying 15eu a month for the same subscription i have. The prices have been changed since he subsribed to voi which was in 2024. And they never informed him that the price has.gone down. So now he too is getting a refund. Only they re refusing to pay the whole of 2025 that he paid too much. I wouldn't recommend VOI to annyone. Pls check your account regularly if you use VOI.
Was good but tonight terrible!!!
I had had a good experience with them but tonight was really poor, disappointing!!! I hired one tonight after my work for a 10 minute ride home. I unlocked and started my ride but as I got to my designated parking station and spot and tried to end my ride, I could not end the ride and it kept saying find a park spot! The timer on my app wouldn't stop and ran to about 25 minutes for a 10 minute ride!!! So rather than getting charged £1.60 I got charged £4.48! Disappointing and Annoying! (Also customer contact is difficult had to use chat robot)
Don’t want my money
Unfortunately deleting your account bans you forever from the app and they tell me there is no way to fix it. This means I can never become a paying customer. I’ll just have to use lime bikes or something instead. One of the strangest customer services experiences I’ve received
Expensive
Expensive, nearly £50 in 2 weeks, just a few trips around Cambridge a 6 minute ride costing £2.68 is bonkers...... delete, don't use, avoid.
