DONT BUY

DONT BUY. I paid for this junk back in the day, asked for a new download link (as its pointlessly hard to find) and they said my purchase is no longer valid because of the updates and were incredibly snarky and rude in the email exchange, and the best part is that it hard crashed my pc.

Terrible experience

When attempting to purchase the item all was clear with PayPal and the payment went through, however, as soon as I pressed proceed with order it reverted back to the checkout screen; the payment has gone out of my bank via PayPal but is showing as awaiting collection from the seller.

I contacted vorpX who said they are unable to assist with transactions and that I would need to contact lemonsqueezy who have not responded to my email, I have since raised it with PayPal and I am awaiting a reply despite the fact it is a pending payment that they may not be able to assist with; all I want is for the money to be refunded

This software does not do what is claimed

This software does not do what is claimed. It does not provide a VR experience when using non-VR games in a Meta Quest 2 headset. Despite adjusting everything according to suggestions from vorpx and others I could not get it to work. The image was very grainy, navigation was jumpy and inconsistent. Games were unplayable using this software. Don't buy it.

Don't bother

You need a top-of-the line rig to use this software, and even then the experience is iffy. Also, they don't offer refunds. I emailed and they're just ignoring me, so I just wasted €36. Do yourself a favour and stick to native VR games.

Poor operating model

This isn't a software you can get back if you reinstall or loose your data. You need tor request a new download link and reregister with new keys.

This takes time & doesn't seem to be automated...

They have made it hard for customers to download and register the product with this really bad operating model.

Doesn't work

Sorry for the instant spoil but this software is a scam.. User Experience is awful and it barely works.. Surely that it works better on some games than others but the one i got to test (mirror's edge, Cyberpunk 2077, Observer ) worked close to nothing. You would be much better off giving your money to Luke Ross or Praydog's Patreons, because those guys create VR mods that actually WORK.

Bonus: If by any chance you still fall into their trap, never lose the binary of their 'software', because after buying the download link is valid for less than a month and you won't be able to recover it afterwards.

Amazing

Amazing! Way better than the free competitors.

Performance is great. Works out of the box.

Before trying vorpx, I was fiddling with the open source alternatives, such as vireio-perception. I can say for sure that vorpx is way ahead of its competitors.

The games work straight out of the box with no configuration, thanks to saved settings by previous users. Even if your title isn't natively supported, there is a high chance another user has already put out a usable profile!

They ignore us

They have completely ignored the complaints and all the support emails I have sent.

I have not even been answered by the support of the third-party sales service they use.

It's a pretty useless product, just by having SteamVR you can do the same but for free

Bad & Expensive

costs far too much and hardly works. there is no option to refund once you actually use it (and find out how useless it is 🤣). I'd advise to stay away.

Zero communication, unfairly strict refund policies. Disappointed.

I bought vorpX on March 6th 2021, requested the product registration code, and installed it with no issues at all. Then I tried it for less than 20 minutes, and realized it wasn't what I expected and was really disappointed in the product, so I instantly went to the contact module on their site to ask if it was possible to receive a refund. Didn't receive a reply for a few days, tried again with the same module, waited a few days, still no reply. As my last attempt I tried to send an email to the support address on March 16th, and as of today (April 5th) still no reply. I waited a lot before posting this review because I thought they could be having issues with timings due to Covid, but it doesn't seem to be the case now.
I have to specify a few things: the software is sold with a "as is" formula, and the terms precisely say "with no promises on descriptions being matched" or something along those lines, so LEGALLY I have no right to a refund and I know that... however I would expect a professional company to go beyond what their terms say and evaluate every situation case by case, and since I sent the first contact form literally 20 minutes after the purchase, there is NO WAY I could've used enough of the product to gain advantage of a possible refund (and besides, I could've just pirated it if I really wanted to take advantage of the software, which I'm not a fan of), therefore it would be perfectly fair to accept such a refund request to my eyes, and adding this to the fact that the nature of the software makes it totally impossible to determine its quality before buying it (because videos on YouTube record the 2D video on the screen and not what the user sees) makes me think that the company is purposefully hiding behind a legal wall to keep money from users that are not happy with the product.
It's behaviors like these that promote software piracy, there has to be some lenience where appropriate.

So TL;DR, don't buy this product unless you've tried it before and unless you know 100% that you're going to like it, because if you don't do so and you buy it blindly like I did you're not going to get a refund, even if you write to them 5 minutes after the purchase.

Very very disappointed.
