Booking was easy to make but totally misrepresented. Very disappointed in the condition of the house There were safety issues and disgusting conditions To numerous to list After we checked in I received an email that stated they were no longer being listed on VRBO I have sent a list of concerns to both the owner and the lister but don’t expect much as it is not being listed with them any more Don’t think I will be booking with VRBO again One good thing was the view was nice

This motel should not be on Vrbo
The Fauld's motel in Sarnia should not be on Vrbo at all. The owner of this place actually put fake photos on Vrbo of the room. It looked so nice so I booked it. It's fraud! It looks nothing like the photos on Vrbo. The place is disgustingly dirty, dank, smelly and old. There is black mold all over the bathroom and actual rust on the brass lamp base. The carpet is nasty. Cigarette burn holes are in the bed spread. The bed is a brick. The door lock card didn't even work and the lock was broken on the door inside. I paid extra to have a kitchen. OMG it was bad. Anyone could just walk in and likely have. There are people that are renting monthly in adjacent units also. It's super sketchy. People are just walking around outside. I did not feel safe. I went to the office to get a refund and the guy in there barely spoke English and refused the refund until I demanded to speak to the owner whom he then called. They owners fix was to try to show me another room! When I started to list all the things wrong he interrupted me, and was not interested in listening and told me he was busy and had a call to take and actually hung up on me. I did end up getting a partial refund but not the entire amount. This place should not be associated with Vrbo. someone from Vrbo needs to actually book a room online and attempt to actually stay there. I dare you. I paid $392.00 and got refunded $298.30 so I actually paid $93.70 to have a gross experience. I left and ended up staying across the road at a clean place. Thanks Vrbo.

Super clean and very comfortable!
Unit very clean and bed very comfortable. Easy to find the place and it's located near a little grocery shop, really easy to find what we need to buy for food without having to take the car. Quick reply from the owner when we have questions and he was really kind to let us in earlier than the check-in time required by Vrbo. I recommend this place 100%!!

Practical, economical, safe and quiet
The unit was exactly as pictured, cosy, clean, simple. Everything worked, no issues. We did have an obstacle at the beginning but Host and VRBO were readily accessible and helpful. It is cosy so not for large group. Parking was very good. Area was safe and quieter than expected given its proximity to Crowchild.

Fake listing and useless customer service
booked a property through Vrbo, but I was scammed—the house turned out to be completely fake. When I contacted customer service for assistance, they offered zero help and just kept talking in circles with empty words. In the end, they takes no responsibility and simply told me to file a dispute/chargeback through my bank to recover my money. Absolutely terrible service and zero protection for customers. Avoid this platform
