**Wealthsimple Won’t Return My $600 in MATIC Sent to the Wrong Network, But They Easily Could!**

I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Wealthsimple that I feel needs to be shared. A few weeks ago, I accidentally sent **$600 worth of MATIC** to the **Polygon network** instead of the ERC-20 network, which is the only one Wealthsimple supports. Unfortunately, they have refused to help me recover these funds, despite it being very possible to do so!

For those unfamiliar with how this works: Wealthsimple only supports ERC-20 withdrawals for MATIC, but Polygon is a Layer 2 solution, and my funds are still on the blockchain. Other platforms have ways to recover tokens sent to the wrong network, so it’s absolutely fixable. Here’s what they could do:

1. **Access the Polygon network**: The funds aren’t lost—they are just on the wrong network. Wealthsimple could use a wallet that supports Polygon to retrieve them.
2. **Bridge the funds back to the ERC-20 network**: They could bridge assets from Polygon back to Ethereum’s ERC-20 network, something many exchanges already do.
3. **Create a simple process for users**: Allow customers to report mistaken transactions with details (like transaction IDs) so that Wealthsimple can assist with fund recovery.

It’s frustrating that I’ve been left in the dark after sending $600 of my hard-earned money. Wealthsimple claims to be a user-friendly platform, but when a fixable mistake occurs, they’ve been dismissive. As customers, we deserve better support when things go wrong!

What’s worse, I even provided them with **step-by-step instructions** on how they could fix this using MetaMask:

1. Download and set up MetaMask.
2. Import the Wealthsimple wallet using the private key they have access to as the custodian of my funds.
3. Add the Polygon network to MetaMask by entering the correct RPC details.
4. Locate the MATIC on the Polygon network.
5. Bridge or transfer the funds back to the ERC-20 network.

It’s a simple process that they could easily follow if they cared about providing real customer support. I really hope they reconsider their stance, as it’s not just about my situation—this affects all their customers. If this issue remains unresolved, Wealthsimple will continue to lose customer trust.

**TL;DR**: I sent $600 worth of MATIC to the wrong network (Polygon instead of ERC-20), and Wealthsimple refuses to help recover it, even though they can. I even provided step-by-step instructions on how they can fix it using MetaMask, but they won’t take action. Wealthsimple needs to do better!

I invested 2500.00 CAD with on the site. The site shows that I have a 6400.00 balance in my account but unable to draw any money out of the account. Their withdrawing process does not work when you place your CAD bank account info into their site it tells you to place numbers in the box. Cannot draw any money out or contact anyone to help. When I talked to the support they just refused to give me any advise or instruction. they are very flippant. Scam.
