I would highly recommend Atkinson Building Services to everyone, a very professionally run small family business. From my first meeting to discuss the project, until handover these guys were able to offer competent technical advise, provide a competitive price and above all turn up on time and carry out the job to a high standard. Well done and thanks to all the team at Atkinson Building Services.

We got a refurbishment of our home carried out which included removing walls, a new kitchen, new bi-fold doors, new flooring, a media wall and all associated works.

We first contacted ABS through their website and got a really quick reply from their Operations Director Dale, who got some initial details and an idea of our budget and what we were trying to achieve. Dale went back and forward lots with us to ensure we were selecting the most suitable products for the job and sent us a really clear broken down quotation, something we struggled to get from others quoting.

So we knew what we were paying and also a contingency if any potential issues were to arise.

Brian and his team were hardworking, reliable and tidy and made sure with Dale overseeing the project that everything came in on budget, on time and to the high quality finish we expected.

As with this size of job there were little problems here and there but Dale quickly rectified and always faced any issues head on.

We would highly recommend Abs, Dale, Brian and the rest of the team for any refurbishments, kitchen replacements or associated works, we also have couple of bathrooms to be replaced and we know who we will be calling to do these works.

I am saddened to write this review. I posted a review in June 2021 with a 5 star rating for ABS. At that time the service from Dale & Brian prior to our work commencing & during the completion was professional, friendly & excellent. We sourced ABS to complete our dream kitchen. Unfortunately since this was completed we have been left with wind blowing through the extractor resulting in a very loud banging noise that can be heard throughout the house at all times!

Following numerous contacts to Dale they eventually visited to fit a new external vent. Unfortunately this did not rectify the problem & the loud banging continued.

Again, we sent numerous emails, messages & calls to ABS with the majority receiving no reply. On the odd occasion we did receive a reply the response was ‘I’ll speak to Brian’ & then no further contact.

We spent a lot of money on what we thought was our dream kitchen & we have been left with a very loud, annoying & frustrating banging.

I am very disappointed to be writing this review & I would have previously recommended ABS, however the after care customer service has been very poor. We don’t understand why our request for this fault to be fixed has not been rectified or why our contacts are being ignored. We have asked but again no reply! The fault is probably a simple & quick fix for ABS.

We are now in a position when we cannot tolerate the noise any longer & will have to source another professional who can fix the fault & at extra expense to ourselves despite paying thousands for our kitchen.

Sorry to write this but we have been more than patient over many months with no progress.

We recently had a wall taken down to allow our kitchen to be extended. From the first visit to work completion Atkinson’s were so professional and friendly to work with. Everything was planned and work was completed on time and to a very high standard. I would recommend Atkinson’s without question . We recently used Atkinson Building Services for removal of a wall between our kitchen and dining room and works to install a supporting beam following removal of the wall.Dale and Brian were extremely professional, very knowledgeable in what was required and kept us fully informed during the full process. The quality of the work was excellent and cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond liaising with the structural engineer to ensure the appropriate plans were followed up. I would definitely recommend them for any building works required. They are exceptional in what they do.

We used Atkinson Building Services for some substantial interior alterations to our property to make it more family orientated. Dale and Brian took the time to understand our requirements, propose solutions where needed and kept us informed during the works.

The quality of their work is excellent and I'd be happy to recommend them. We are delighted with our property, it has really improved our family's quality of living as all spaces in the house are now utilised and shared.

I recently commissioned Atkinson Building Services to renovate my main bathroom. The entire process from start to finish was terrific. Great initial consultation, where ideas were discussed and from there plans were drawn. Communication from Dale was excellent and updates given frequently. I found the entire experience hassle free and am delighted with the final result.

Very efficient. Responded quickly to changes in design. Completed the job a day ahead of schedule. Would recommend

This is the second time i've used ABS which reflects the amazing work they do and great customer service. They've helped transform my old/run down house and i now have a fantastic new kitchen, utility and wc. The quality of work and attention to detail is excellent. I can’t express my gratitude towards Brian Dale and the team they went over and above their roles to ensure our project was finished to a high standard.

The attention to detail along with the hard work did not go unnoticed. From the very start the team were extremely attentive to our project.

Our project consisted of the removal of load bearing walls to open our kitchen and living area to make it open plan.

We faced a few issues but Dale and Brian always had the solution to hand.

No mater time or day the guys were always on hand to answer any questions to put our mind at ease.

The standard of which ABS works is a credit to them, they are very reliable hardworking and good honest decent tradesmen.

I am so glad we found them to undertake our project and can’t thank them enough for the work they put in from knocking walls, plumbing, rewiring, plastering and fitting our kitchen.

We would recommend them to anyone from big to small projects inside or outside you will not be disappointed.

We have been absolutely thrilled with the 2 storey house extension and internal renovation work undertaken by ABS. Brian, Dale and the team went above and beyond in every aspect of the build and finish. From the very start ABS provided the most detailed and thorough quote and took the time to talk us through every aspect of the process, addressing any questions and concerns we had. Having never undertaken a build project before we were slightly apprehensive, however, ABS ensured the whole experience was stress free. We decided that we would like to remain in our house as the work was being carried out. Brian and Dale revised the build plans to accommodate us and worked around us to ensure minimal disruption even building us a temporary kitchen.

The extension included complex steelwork, a large open plan kitchen, an additional bedroom, converting an en-suite back into a bedroom, adding an en-suite shower room to the master bedroom, and creating a shower room and separate utility room downstairs. Due to the age of the house it had outdated electrics and pipework including lead water pipes but nothing phased Brian and the team and everything has been upgraded.

The whole team were completely professional in their approach, always on time, very hard working, polite, tidy and extremely helpful. All of the work was completed to a very high standard, with the project finishing on time and on budget. We are absolutely delighted with the work and would recommend ABS without any hesitation. We are looking forward to ABS undertaking further garden and garage improvements for us in the near future.

Atkinson Building Services carried out renovations to our house throughout Novemverv 2020. The work included; stripping out old kitchen, removing a load bearing wall and fitting new kitchen. They also filled in an external door to accommodate the new layout and completed a number of electrical works. The finish is to a very high standard and we are so pleased with the results. We will use Atkinson Building Services for future work.

After finding 3 leaks from 3 different bathrooms in the house Atkinson Building Services assessed the damage and provided us with an excellent quote to repair the damage. This resulted in a new master bathroom, new vanity unit and flooring in the en suite and replacing 2 showers. In addition whilst carrying out the work they encountered other problems and built this into our renovations without any hassle. The work was finished to an excellent standard and the staff were very punctual and professional. I would highly recommend the company.

Atkinson Building Services were professional from the initial contact through to the end of the build. They provided a comprehensive quote, turned up on time, kept me informed throughout the work. The renovation was completed to a high standard.

I have used Atkinson for various projects over recent years. Dale provides detailed quotes for the work which I like and it's always completed to very high standard. The guys are reliable and hard working and I wouldn't hesitate to use then again for any future jobs we need doing.

We can't thank Brian, Dale and the team enough. Having got caught mid extension/renovation during the Covid lockdown, they worked so hard for us. Dale kept us informed, and Brian moved heaven and earth to complete the project. We're delighted with the quality of the finish, and the ensuite is superb. I would recommend them for their professionalism and customer service. Brian is a brilliant problem solver, and also did extra work without stressing. Thanks to all of you, Quinn and Todd too!

From estimating the job to completion I couldn't fault the team of guys. There was alot of restructuring, rewiring and finishing work to be carried for a new kitchen dinner and Dale was really helpful reassuring us all would OK.
The team worked continuously to deliver a high standard job and within the estimated timeline.
We are really happy with our new kitchen dinner and would recommend using them.

Delighted with the work. The team was very professional and send us a quote within a few days, and came to replace the windows within a month. There was no hard selling.

Despite the troubles we encountered with our suppliers B&Q (not supplying everything ordered, wrong items delivered) ABS bent over backwards to make sure this didn't adversely effect the project.

We were happy with the quality of the work and the professionalism it was carried out with.

In hindsight (and in future projects) I'll definitely be using ABS to supply and fit !
