I am extremely frustrated with this company.
Webroot uses a mandatory auto-renewal system that feels nearly impossible to cancel. They just auto-charged my mother's card again, even though I cancelled her subscription a year ago.
They make it incredibly difficult to opt out, and if you try to get help, you are completely on your own. There are no real Customer Service Representatives (CSR) available to speak with. You are forced to deal with useless automated bots that loop you in circles and tell you to submit issues online instead of solving your problem.
This company makes it effortless to take your money—even years after you cancel—but impossible to get support.
Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for antivirus protection.

Use the basic antivirus software, but the PC Optimizer seems like a total waste to me. Honestly, I totally forgot I even had it on my laptop because it made NO NOTICIABLE difference in my computer's performance whatsoever. Not really even sure if it does anything at all.

I did not appreciate that there is no way for people to cancel easily. I manage my parents accounts and even I had a hard time working my way through all the hoops just to cancel a service they didn't even know they had signed up for. When looking at the account page and clicking on the options, the only option is to copy a code which didn't want to copy. Then the page it send you to is filled with sales graphics and text only to find the correct place for the code at the very bottom of the page, this is after a very misleading other section you can place the code into as well. After finally finding the area to cancel I had to do a search for how to get a refund for a service they just got charged a year for that they don't use since the device are all gone. I will update this review if they give said refund but at this point I'm very dissatisfied with this piece of their business and there is a complete lack of customer service or any way to get a hold of a human. Please update your UI webroot. This was feeling kind of preditory especially to what I assume is a large part of your market which are seniors.
Have not been able to use webroot for days on my iPhone. After a lot of work on my part, talked to a human. Helped me get the VPN back working. Eight hours later, nope. And have to pay again.

I’m done with them. Had been fine, for years. Don’t know what changed.
I have not had an issue with Webroot. I appreciate that they have been there to take care of my online usage. 1/2/2022
I have not yet tried the feature to improve the slow opration of my computer
After searching (and trying) several different vendors, Webroot delivered a one stop solution for my Apple products.
The Webroot ap does not function as advertsed. We still get virus warnings and tried to cancel this app without success.
I had to request speaking to a supervisor to get the full refund I deserved and finally recieved after rejecting Webroots offer for less than half of what I was owed. I didnt speak to a supervisor but supposedly the person I was speaking with did. I feel they knew that Webroot was in the wrong for not refunding my initial request for a refund for a duplicate subsciption but tried to get away with refunding nothing or as little as they could get away with!
Webroot is and has been effective since I initially purchased the basic anti-virus software from Best Buy. The software is effective along with Allstate Identity Theft protection software. My online activities are low risk.

We've been using Webroot on 3 or more computers for over 10 years and have never been infected by a virus or any other sort of invasion of any of them
