Brenton was great
Brenton was professional, friendly, and very patient while I sorted out a personal logistics hiccup before signing the papers to sell my car. Would 100% return to sell additional cars when the time comes. Just one item to note, the advertised car value online does not include a mandatory $399 NJMVC fee, which is subtracted from the original quoted value after inspection. This had nothing to do with Brenton though. He made the transaction super easy. Thanks again Brenton.
Never would I ever
These people are a joke! Sell your car yourself somewhere else! $101 🤦🏼♂️ even if it is a junk car I can get more than that from the junk yard the lady was so pushy asking a bunch of questions when I told her that I would sell it myself. Asking where, who, why? It doesn’t matter where, who or why. I’m not selling it to you for $101. Listen people don’t go here, please take my advice call around there are better options for you. They try to convince you why you shouldn’t sell your car on your own, they keep enforcing this leave with a check motto. Then they have this documentation fee!!! What is that, I called car max he laughed and said no they don’t charge a fee for selling my car then he asked who does that exactly my question these people are a problem the definition of🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍
After looking into it seems like they have tiered fees that increase as the price of the vehicle increases. A way to pay less for your vehicle. The lady in Gladstone said that it’s the cost to safely process the paperwork. WHAT!!!!
So it cost more to process the paperwork on a 10k car than a 5k car? No it doesn’t y’all are the epitome of Usery - predatory, aggressive tactics, I’m in a tough financial situation I need everything I can get right now and you want to tell me a sap story about processing paperwork. Just because you are putting it down doesn’t mean I’m picking it up. I will do my all to spread the word about you people!

Don't charge customer administration…
Don't charge customer administration fee. Your competitors don't do does hidden fee. My cost was three hundred dollars.
Great Experience
Seamless Process of selling a car. Just be aware of the document fee they charge.
An offer is not an offer?
I received what I believed to be an offer only to find out when I arrived that it was in fact NOT an offer. I was also told "we do not dicker". The rep did his thing while I waited & came back with an offer almost $1000.00 less than the number in my e-mail interactions. I told the rep it was not acceptable & he asked what I would take. I told him & he sent the info somewhere & came back with $600.more.They also charge a $250.00 documentation fee that was not disclosed up front to my knowledge. All of this is no reflection on Matt, the company Rep. He did his job, worked to get me some more money & our overall interaction was very pleasant

Easy, no wasted time
Easy, David was easy going, waived document fee and gave us an acceptable offer
The staff member was friendly and…
The staff member was friendly and helpful. However, the office was not very professional and I was not happy with my offer. Especially the $99 “processing fee.”

I took my 22-year-old car to sell
I took my 22-year-old car to sell. Everyone at the Fletcher office was nice. Dustin's customer service is excellent. He is training and learning fast.
There is one thing I didn't like. Even though we agreed the price of sell. The vehicle purchase agreement states a different purchase price I received. Purchase price minus documentation fee equal check amount.
I sold a car to WeBuyAnyCar (Brookline…update. I just want to say that Webuyanycar reached out. Jim, the Manager did a good job when dealing with my family. I would add a star to this review.
I sold a car to WeBuyAnyCar (Brookline Office) on Saturday, 10/19/2024.
I want to say that Jim was very pleasant to deal with. That being said, your website should state that there is a $399.00 fee for transactions, title, forms, etc. that will be deducted from the price of the car. Also the appraisal of the car was 9444.00. The appraisal also showed one accident which we were unaware of. We were told by Jim that he could not tell what kind of accident it was. We do not know if it was a severe accident or a minor fender bender. When we went for our appointment and Jim test drove and inspected the car he came back with an offer of 4006.10. I understand that when you fill out the info on the website you should expect some devaluation on the initial appraisal. But seriously, almost half! Unfortunately we are trying to liquidate an estate and needed to dispose of the car sooner rather than later. I certainly would never go to any WeBuyAnyCar branch again.

Sadly
Sadly, they were understaffed. Their 1:00 was 17 minutes late. Which pushed back the 2:00. Which pushed back me (3:00). To be fair the Manager/employee was doing his best to speed things along. Still if there was another employee there. They definitely had another desk available. Second, I was told the lowest offer I would've got was $300.00. The manager tried to give me $100.00 plus the $100.00 it would cost to do the paperwork! Which was not told to me until I had already got there! I got him to go to $200.00 plus your paperwork fee. So, I guess it got to $300.00. Hoping I am not put in the position to use your services again!

A Smooth Transaction
A Smooth Transaction. I was met at the exact time of my appointment and the selling process was explained from start to finish from the beginning. I was treated with respect and thanked for using this company once we were finished. The only negetive issue was that I was not told about the $399 document fee until I was issued the check for payment for my car. It was deducted from the check.
Use as Last Resort
First, you need to get the vehicle to them. So unless it’s running ok, you better have roadside or AAA, or need to dish out towing fee. I was fortunate to have one so was able to get the car there.
You are given a “quote” on what you think you will receive for your vehicle, but assume it will be a fraction of it. After mulling over every slight imperfection and smudge, you will end up with a really bad deal. Then you get charged the “document fee”! In the end, I would have preferred to donate my car rather than do that again.
Unfortunately, I was stuck, and having to arrange another tow, waste more time and money, I did the deal. One of the rims on my car is worth 2x what I was eventually paid. Staff was very nice and polite, but definitely a predatory company! Again, I was not forced to do this deal, but circumstances prevailed.
As stated in the title…only use as a LAST resort! Do some shopping and call a few other places before doing business with these folks. Not a disgruntled customer, but trying to warn others not to make the same mistake I did. Unfortunately cannot post photos to show you what I received $101.00 for. Hope the next person has better luck by going somewhere else!
**Updated Reply to Company:
As stated, I was not forced to make this deal but would have lost even more money had I done something else at that point. As to the car being “inoperable”, it was brought over from a local Firestone auto center, where they had made repairs (can’t post photos of invoice). I didn’t have a means to drive over since I was alone driving another vehicle, so it was towed. It needed a jump, which I offered to do, but was told by the staff that they only needed enough power to read the odometer. A picture is worth a thousand words, but unfortunately it is not possible to add photos. That way readers could see the car and know exactly what I am saying here.
In fairness, someone tried to contact me regarding this, so I will be calling to have that conversation. I will again say, shop around or consider donating your vehicle before deciding on this option.

Lack of communications
First person I talked to via phone, said what our second vehicle would be purchased for. When the person who does on site evaluations came, he dealt with my husband. I just had knee replaced and thought all was fine with me not outside for it all. Hubby came in told me what truck was being valued at. I said fine, assuming the second vehicle I had spoken (they recorded call) would be added on top. Then there was the BIG misleading info about title fees. I had already researched how much the fee would be. $85 but I was assured it would not be much more if they did the title while they had to do their part as well. That fee turned into $350. It was easy to sell. If I had been able to do it myself, we would have made much more. We should have made a list to go over it all before signing. They should have communicated before, the real fees cost, and about the second vehicle. Both sides erred.

Everything went great! We were surprised with the fees that where deducted. That should have been told at the beginning.
Everything went great! The only thing that surprised us was the fee deducted from the sale price. That should have been stated at the very beginning.
Sold a 25-year-old car :-)
Sale was quick and competent and I received the company check as promised. The location was convenient to my subsquent travel to MVA by bus to surrender the tags.
My only negative comments:
1. The agent incorrectly entered my former address (indicated on the plastic license) onto the WeBuyAnyCar records, even though I showed him the (separate) official MVA change-of-address form.
2. A $99 document review fee was charged in connection with the sale. The fee is reasonable in view of the amount of work required, but it should be noted on the Web site where customers obtain their preliminary estimate of the sales price.
Courteous, Knowledgeable Representative
Representative, Lou, arrived on time as promised He fully explained the process and approximate time required. He then thoroughly inspected the car and did a driving test. when complete, the offer was within the amount I expected. The only downside was the not insignificant paperwork processing fee that was deducted from the offer. The fee is not mentioned in any of the on-line information. Overall experience was very positive. I would not hesitate to recommend your service.
Easy process.
It was easy and everything went smoothly but I was not made aware of the administration fee. That had not been mentioned to me in Prior phone calls or emails. I received no emails until this one for the survey.
Be prepared for the process ...
I received an online estimate quote of around $1,400 for my 2007 Honda Odyssey with 166,000 miles and lots of minor problems. At the We Buy Any Car location Tim was great and a pleasure to work with as he thoroughly inspected my car for nearly an hour. At the end of the inspection, the computer spit out an offer of $121. I was thanking Tim for his time and getting up to walk away when he said there might be something he could do. He needed to talk to his manager (sigh), which was when I realized this was going to be more like a traditional car buying/selling experience than I had expected. When everything was over, I walked away with $1,000 (after the $249 processing fee).
I have always hated the experience around buying and selling used cars. The 'used car salesman' reputation is there for a reason. I didn't expect to have to negotiate for a 'fair' offer with a vehicle that was clearly at the end of its life.
I've got no complaints about my time with Tim. But 'the system' seems to be setup to set the initial offer ridiculously low (Car Negotiations 101). It's the standard used car buying/selling tactics that have been around forever, which is disappointing - at least to me. If you're aware of that going into the transaction, you'll be more prepared than I was.
Still, it was an overall positive experience and it was an easy way to get rid of a vehicle.
