The estimate given online
The estimate given online, was a lot higher than the actual price paid to me. Also no one said anything about a Docking Fee, until I had already setup the appointment to drive my car there. But overall was a good experience.
The document fee for online filing or…
The document fee for online filing or reviewing of $100 is crazy. That cost nothing to make a "docusign" or an Adobe signature document are basically free. You are already buying the vehicle @50% value or less. Why not squeeze a little hardes for a bs filing/ admin/ somebody to give the thumbs up fee. Should have just called it a commission 🙄 😒 😑
Good experience with the entire sales…
Good experience with the entire sales procedure from quoting via inspection to receiving payment. Lou, the inspector was great to work with. What left a somewhat bitter taste is the 10% service fee that wasn’t mentioned or listed anywhere upfront.
Andy was very kind
Andy was very kind, patient and knowledgeable. He helped me through the sales process and answered any questions that I had for him. Great customer service!
Staff members that I spoke with were nice. I appreciate the smooth process. The price was a bit different which is why I took off one star.
I was offered $1295. Upon arrival to our home, Andy informed me the process. He would inspect, test drive and offer an amount based on the assessment.
After it was all completed, Andy stated that there were a few scratches on the roof of the vehicle that I didn't see and the engine lights were on This brought the price considerably down to $450 after a $99 paperwork fee was added (I didn't initially know about this at all).
In my defense, the scratches, dents and engine lights were something that I disclosed in the very beginning.
The offer was made with this in mind.
Instead, the offer came down even further. This was very conniving and deceptive. Andy seemed like a very nice person, but this entire process was not on the up and up.

A very good way to sell a car you no longer need
Don, the manager at our local WBAC, took time inspecting the outside and inside of my 2009 Honda Accord. My online evaluation was about $4200. My car did have some rust issues around both back tires, so I expected some of that would get knocked off the original estimate. The vehicle was 17 years old, myself the original and only owner, and was very clean. I was quoted about $3200, less the $395 document fee, for a check of $2900. Don completed all the paperwork and gave me the copies. Even though the WBAC never disclosed the document fee on their website that I could locate, I noticed from other reviews that this fee varies from customer to customer. The web site should be more transparent about the fee, my only issue. Other than that, service was very good, very convenient to use, and eliminated the hassle with trading the car into a dealer. Would highly recommend this if you just want to sell a car, get some money for it, and want to move on. I even got a phone call days letter thanking me for the business, something no one does anymore, I appreciated that.
Updated experience
It literally took 3 hours to sell my car. They had to enter my information into system twice and waited 1 hour for someone to approve. Service person had question about my title and it took her 1 and 1/2 hours to get a response. I had to leave for an appt. and come back to pick-up my check less $99 service fee that took 3 hours of my time. Regional manager called and explained delays. He reimbursed service fee. I appreciate their follow-up to make things right.

I was a bit disappointed that I was not…
I was a bit disappointed that I was not informed of the $319 documentation fee upfront. Also the original offer was $2935. Even before the vehicle was looked at I was told it was $2700. When I asked why it was down I was told it fluctuates. After the inspection it was down to $1700. I still feel this was way too low and almost regret selling the car.
I see your reply but I was Never told about the $319 documentation free and I disagree with your reply. There was no damage to the interior or exterior of the car. In fact, there was no mention of any so called damage to the interior or the exterior. The car has never been in an accident and there were no dents or scratches. As for the engine misfires this was a complete surprise since the car was recently serviced and checked over showing no issues. I think all these issues were to in fact make the price lower. At this point the deal has been done and my opinion of your service still stands!
I have intentionally blocked your calls & text messages. There is nothing further to discuss and my review stands as is. Actually, I feel like changing it to 2 stars.

Donald was very helpful and explained…
Donald was very helpful and explained the policies and how he arrived at his price very well. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 star experience was the fact that nowhere in the website portion of the transaction, could I find anything disclosed about the $399 fee, not even in the terms and conditions. Donald was very up front about the fee however when I first spoke with him after getting the estimate from the website. The transaction was handled very professionally and relatively quickly.
Don’t Trust Anything They Say
They lie about everything:
1) Send you a good offer online and then lowball you later.
2) They then reduce THAT offer by another approximately $400 for “fees.”
3) They tell you everyone charges similar fees.
4) I just sold my car to Auto Nation for NO FEES and received exactly what they originally offered online.
WBAC’s offer was around 70% of their online “suck you in” offer!
5) They sent me a survey but the Submit Button doesn’t work (probably only for negative reviews; “Page not found”). I bet the “Page can be found” for positive feedback!
6) I then tried to complain via the link asking for negative feedback. Twice. Both came back as “Not Deliverable.” Real surprise!
7) Tried submitting this review on Trustpilot, verified it with the code they sent me and was informed “something went wrong.” Review was gone.
We’ll see what happens this time. I am copying it and also sending it to Yelp.
In response to WBAC’s reply:
1) Your website does not allow for any comments or clarifications on the info submitted. Therefore I couldn’t include the cracked windshield.
2) However, I did disclose it to the woman who called me to schedule an appointment.
3) Absolutely no information was ever given to me about your “fees,” written or verbal. The same woman quickly read off some details about the onsite inspection and the word “fee” was used. When I asked for clarification and verification of a possible “fee” she said it was included in the online offer. There was nothing to worry about. I therefore believed it to be included in the offer, certainly not something to be deducted later. Why would any sensible (honest) person not disclose it? Answer: to inflate the offer. If you always charge an almost $400 fee, why hide it and add it at the last minute? And why claim ‘everyone else does it’ when it is not true?
4) It is an 11 year old car. How can you make an (honest) offer that apparently requires the car being in pristine shape, as though it just came off the showroom floor? The car is in very good condition. How come your competitor is smart enough to know that there is a scratch or two?
5) I strongly object to you attacking my integrity because you don’t know how to read English or use a calculator. The online offer was $3030. The final offer was $2100 something (don’t remember exactly and I never got it in writing, but I believe it was $2140 or thereabouts). I said it was “around 70%,” which would be around $2121. The difference is approximately $900 - a 30% reduction.
I demand an apology.
6) How do you explain providing a link (purportedly to solicit any negative feedback so you can improve your operation) that has an invalid address? I tried it twice.

Would have like more for our car
Would have like more for our car. 399 doc fee seemed like a lot since you were buying the car. Plus seemed like a lot to take off for scratches.
Ryan was great!
Ryan was great!
I am not impressed with the company because they don’t disclose all the information when giving you a quote online. They do not tell you that there is a processing fee or that there are deductions made for every scratch, ding, etc.
Ryan did a great job explaining everything and I completed the sale of my vehicle. Another positive is receiving your money right away and the Uber voucher.
Patrick explained everythin,including…
Patrick explained everythin, including the process in detail. I just wish I was aware of the proessing fee prior to coming in.
I was quoted $1400 more than I actually…
I was quoted $1400 more than I actually walked away with. I was not made aware of the additional $400 document fee. We bought the car with a few scratches and dents. It was my son's first car. They took money off for every tiny scratch. I did leave with a check, but it was significantly less than the online estimate.

We Buy Any Car USA - Willow Grove, PA
Austin, Willow Grove Branch Manager, worked diligently to obtain the best price for my vehicle. He spent quite a bit more time than the usual to complete all the details required to ensure that my loan payoff was successful on a Saturday afternoon. I recommend this location and Austin and Gio. They are friendly, experienced and provide excellent follow up. The only negative was that I was not specifically made aware ahead of time that there would be a documentation fee of almost $500 for the transaction.
low price
low price. gave me a low ball amount, 200.00. then came back with 1500.00 mince 300.00 for dealer fee. i not happy. i am disabled, in a wheelchair and did not have any other option.

Know this before you go
Jerry made the process easy to follow, and his personality was definitely a plus—he’s easy to connect with on a personal level. Because of that, my initial impression was a 5-star experience.
However, the overall process of selling a vehicle is ultimately one of negotiation and fees. For that reason, I would rate the full experience closer to a 3. I understand that nearly 100% of vehicles brought in will have repairs needed or flaws identified, and my older pickup truck was no exception. That said, the repair costs they assign are at the very highest end of typical dealer estimates.
This is clearly part of a system designed to reduce the initial online valuation. I understand WBAC is a business and needs to resell vehicles at a profit—but sellers should be aware of this going in.
Negotiating a lower price is expected; any private buyer would try to do the same. What caught me off guard, though, was the document/processing fee. It may be buried somewhere in the fine print online, but I missed it. This fee is supposedly for processing paperwork and completing the vehicle transfer—but isn’t that the core of their business? Charging the seller an additional (and not insignificant) fee to do so further reduces the final offer.
Be prepared for this, as it will lower what you ultimately receive for your vehicle.
Watch the pricing!
I think the initial bid and final price was not done in good faith. We started at $1500 and ended at less than $1000. Nickel and dime action for minor issues. A car that is more than 5 years old will have a few scratches. But charge a fee for repainting is not how business should conducted.
I was unaware that a documentation fee…
Got a call from Jeff in Customer Service and was very appreciative of his professionalism. The company offered to make me whole and cut me a check for $100 dollars due to some miscommunication. I greatly appreciate the consideration and would work with this company again. My sincere thanks and gratitude for rectifying the issue.

Very good, straightforward, transparent service
Starting with the website, I filled out my vehicle information, and I did have to provide an email, in order to see their initial valuation, although they showed my the valuation right away on-screen, but also in the email they also sent. The website was straightforward, easy to use, not overly flashy, I liked it. The survey questions for the condition of the car are very brief, can't really capture everything going on with your car, as a result the valuation they gave me was quite a bit more than it actually turned out being. In my case, I knew their valuation was overly optimistic, but I could see people getting mislead or getting their hopes up by that, so keep that in mind. After seeing the valuation online, I clicked to make an appointment at a nearby office. It asked for my phone number, sent me a code to the phone, but then the website wouldn't let me plug the code in, some glitch, so I had to call the phone number it provided. After a short wait, I spoke with a friendly operator who facilitated making the appointment for later that same day. At the appointment/location, the prior appointment was taking a bit longer, so I had to wait like 10 minutes past my appointed hour to be attended to, but I had no problem with that. I could see the guy was busy wrapping up with another customer, and he came out right away to greet me and offered water, before going back to wrap up with other customer.
Then, it was my turn. The guy's name was Danny, and he was very easygoing and pleasant and efficient. He did his job with enthusiasm and cheerfulness, which I appreciated. He looked over my car real well, we even took it for a test drive. During his whole inspection, I was present, and he was commenting on the things he saw that were good or bad, in an informative, non-judgemental, way. He spotted an issue I didn't even realize was there, related to some back-end work the prior owner had done. He also took a video recording of the engine running, which they analyze back at the main office. In the end, I didn't get a whole lot for my car, but it had many issues, almost all of which I already knew about, so I wasn't surprised. There is a documentation fee to facilitate the transfer of title, in my case it was $99, I think this price applies to Florida and the value of my car which was low. For other states and higher-value cars possibly it's more. But either way, he was transparent about it, and spoke in terms of both sale price and Net payment to me, after the doc fee, and so I knew what I was agreeing to beforehand, no surprises. Even after taking the doc fee into account, it was a slightly better deal than Carmax was offering (I had taken it to Carmax beforehand). The inspection took like 20 to 30 minutes, and once I agreed to sell it, the paperwork took an additional 15 to 20 minutes. There are quite a few papers to sign, which are all part of facilitating the title transfer. I have high confidence that they handle the paperwork well. Overall, a very good experience.
My experience was not great
My experience was not great. Although Darius Kitchen was really great and we enjoyed doing our business with him, I was disappointed that We Buy charges a $319.00 document fee which they do not mention in the estimate. We Buy also hit us with a $521.00 deduction because we had previously had to have the instrument gauge panel replaced which included the odometer. The work was done at a new car dealer and the previous mileage was shown on sticker applied to the side of the dash panel. All quite legal and aboveboard. Darius claimed that the odometer reading not matching the total mileage would lower the resale value. I just don't believe that and would love to know how much it sells for. Car was 16 years old but as Darius agreed was in really nice shape. Very disappointed regarding this matter.
