Slow start
The guy was a little gruff to start with but warmed up as our visit progressed. I wasn’t satisfied with the amount we received. I feel like I could have sold the headlights for more. However, we wanted to be rid of the car. This location stands to make a good bit more than we were offered.
Update- the corporate office responded to my concerns. The biggest issue I had was that the offer I got online was way more than the offer I got in person. And the second issue was that I was unaware of a fee for paperwork until we arrived at the location. When the corporate office heard this they were great to try to address my concerns. They ended up sending me a bit more for my car. It was still a good bit lower than the online offer, but better. I do understand that the car had issues. I am pleased with the resolution.

Treated Courteously and fairly.…
Great job and received a fair wholesale price. Website needs to state up front about additional documentation fee that is deducted. Amy was easy to work with, and Barrett called about 5 days later to thank me for my business..It is more convenient than bothering with a car dealer. WBAC.com paid for my Uber ride home, doubt that a conventional dealer would do that. I recommend it.
Scott was friendly and professional.

Document fee seemed high and should be noted up front. It felt a bit slimy to have deducted off the offer.
Otherwise, quick and easy service.
From the information given on the…
From the information given on the website, I should have been told a closer estimate to what I was paid. Also, I know the car is worth more, but I already have another car on its way so I needed the space. I felt a bit misled and played to say the least. Be more upfront with the $99 fee and the fact that the website may say a amount but have it automatically adjust for problems with a vehicle that are entered. I worked in sales, before the salesperson who came to see me, who ignored a email call and text before he responded - I know know all the tactics and smooth dishonesty. I worked in sales from early 90s, before the person you sent was born I believe. I needed the space and didn't feel like working on the car that I sold you which I know you will sell for 10x what you paid me for it. I will be sure to warn everyone I know (2000 people via social media and all their connections I don't know, a reach of about 200,000 people plus ) to steer well clear of your company and its fast talk tactics. Unless I get a genuine response to this, I will make it a point to warn anyone and everyone I know away from your company and it's clever policies and disclaimers. Do better, less bs. Don't hide behind disclaimers, you spend a lot of money advertising, rise to the occasion or lose out to much more honest competitors.

Just being straight forward
Just being straight forward, The only thing I was not aware or was the $500 Fee that is deducted off the TOP of your offer......But then again WHO reads the fine print. But it should be more noticable bcause if someone is Selling its not going to matter anyway.Agent was a GOOD GUY even though he was from CONSHOHOCKEN!! JOKN of course!!Even spelled that wrong!!
The online estimate was different once…
The online estimate was different once you arrived at the location. I understand that issues with the vehicle can change the offer but the price difference was significantly different. Plus the documentation fee was never explained until the offer was given.

WeBuyAnyCar-RIPOFF
We thank Kevin from WeBuyAnyCar for contacting us. While it doesn't change the outcome or the experience, having a candid discussion was a nice touch from the company.
Response: In response to WeBuyAnyCar's request for more information. In 2016 we traded a Hyundai SanteFe at the Jefferson Hills location in Pittsburgh, PA. There was never a mention of 'fees' and we felt the amount offered was extremely fair for the condition of that vehicle. Given it is approximately 8 years ago, we don't have any additional information on file. With that transaction, we purchased a 2016 Nissan Murano. On May 25, 2024 we were contemplating selling our Murano since we have 4 cars. We were also contemplating the purchase of a Pathfinder. Undecided on what we wanted to do, we scheduled our Murano at the West Liberty Avenue location since it is closer to our home than the Jefferson Hills location. Jim O'Connor appraised the Murano low balling the vehicle at approximately $10 to $10,800. KBB and WeBuyAnyCar website both listed appraisals in the $12k range. Jim's reasoning was the vehicle needed detailing, tires half life. He also informed us there was a $400 processing fee. If this fee has always been the policy of WeBuyAnyCars, that was not disclosed to us in 2016.
We left telling Jim we'd think about this offer. All four of our vehicles have low miles, are always emissions exempt during inspection and they are well maintained. We decided to take it to a dealership that is extremely transparent and honest. When told they were giving us $12,400 for our Murano, citing how well maintained the car was kept, including low miles, it was a no brainer for us. This was fair, WeBuyAnyCar's appraisal not so fair! This dealership, where we have now purchased 8 vehicles over the years, is a no haggle establishment and the bills of sale are itemized so there is no hiding or adding costs further making us believe the WeBuyAnyCar appraisal, reasoning and assessment were inaccurate and unfair.
Original review:
We purchased a 2016 Nissan in 2016. With multiple cars owned, we were undecided on a newer vehicle or just selling this one, so we took it to WeBuyAnyCar on W. Liberty Ave. We sold a Hyundai to this company (Jefferson Hills location) years ago and very happy with that transaction. Not this time!
Our Nissan had approx. 65,000 miles & in great condition. We were offered $10,800. KBB approximately 12k. We ended up selling elsewhere and getting $12,400. The bull-crap excuses that it needs detailing, tires half life, a dealer will not give more and will think of ways to absorb payment to their benefit, selling privately could be a pain getting the cash.... yada yada. The person at this location was clearly WRONG! Glad we didn't "buy" his rationale. And, we didn't need to pay processing fees. This WeBuyAnyCar person told us there was a $400 processing fee which either was not a fee years ago or was not disclosed for our Hyundai sale. Two very different experiences from same company. Best advice, do your homework before doing a deal here.

A relief of last resort.
With all the good reviews and mention of convenience, I decided I'd give it a try after trying to sell my car that needed about $3,500 worth of work 1. to the place where I bought my next used car (who didn't want it), 2. on Facebook (which is unreliable), & 3. a junkyard (which offered me more but isn't necessarily motivated to get the title out of my name so I still might be held responsible for taxes next year). Time was running out for the month to get my current "new" car registered & the state discounts their super high taxes with a bill of sale during a tag transfer. When scheduling online, I got a general estimate (1/4 of the minimum I wanted). After the thorough eval confirmed the amount of repairs needed, the est. payout went WAY down (from $1345 to $449 -a $99 documentation fee, even less actually~ but they went up to the max allowed). Yet, Amy Tayon who did the eval. & was super nice as well as very patient with me while I struggled to decide what to do. It was an overall easy process & I'd recommend it to anyone needing to let go of an albatross quickly. Just don't expect as much money as KBB values!
Great customer service but online estimate should not be expected
This rating is based off customer service received. The transaction went very well. Far better than the competition (Dealer, CarMax, Carvana, etc) Easy and straightforward. John B was extremely helpful and thorough. It took about 30-40 minutes to inspect and give my car a test drive. However, (as one may anticipate) the online estimate was no where near the initial quote. Also keep in mind that there is doc fee. Thankfully the quote was negotiable and we were able to get to a compromise. If I were to rate the entire experience from online to going to the branch I would rate it a 4.5 as the difference in online estimate to in person quote was a bit off to be perfect.

$99 “paperwork fee”, which is added to the figure offered so does not reduce what you receive but could be mentioned up front in ads.
Clear any history code if you fix problem because they deduct around $450 .
Jay was very personable and made process easy.
give yourself time
I made an appt but had to wait and I wish I had known to bring a money order or cashiers check to avoid the 2% fee.
Dan was great to work with
Dan was great to work with. Dan was very open on the process. My only comment on the process was not understanding the $395 00 documentation fee.
Miguel was great
Miguel was great. I spoke to carmen the week before. I was just surprised that the worth of the car dropped in 5 days. Also I wasn't informed before the deal of your 500$ fee for title transfer etc. But I needed to sell car to put the money toward the care of my mother. I thought the 500 was steep. You should inform people ahead of time as to quick drop on price and additional 500 extra fee. I think you should inform people before the deal is done about the 500 fee not when your sitting there and all paperwork is done and then mention the fee
informative and efficient!
The experience was informative and efficient. The manager; Tom, was courteous, personable and handled the process quickly. I did feel that the "documents fee" was quite high, for a simple sale. Also minor blemishes on the vehicle dropped the offer price pretty substantially. But all in all the process was positive and I would use the company and service again.
Don't accept the first offer, try to offset the documentation charge, and you should do fine with WBAC
You are not likely going to sell it anywhere close to what it would go for from doing it yourself, but in our case, We Buy Any Car (WBAC) was significantly higher than at least one of the other major companies that buys cars as is. Our car was over 15 years old, so the other company was a very low bid, which might have gone close to zero if we actually engaged them. Anyhow, we did not want to deal with people coming to our house, test drives, worrying if the check will clear, or a disgruntled buyer banging on our door if the car went south after purchase. Sure, it was disconcerting to see what the company that ultimately bought the car from WBAC (apparently, they sell immediately to a dealer) was selling it for and from the pictures, it just seemed like they only vacuumed it before placing in on the market, but who knows what they sold it for (sold within a week; tracked it with the VIN). They (including WBAC) need to make money, too and that was the premium we were fine with giving up to avoid the above headaches. As far as any specific recommendations using WBAC, I would say don't take the first or perhaps even second offer (I took the second). In the end, my guess is that you will get something less than their initial bid provided online before you go in. Our valuation went down 25%, but that was on a very low base. Dollar wise, it wasn't that significant. Next, the only somewhat questionable thing they did was imply their documentation fee was paying their taxes and county fees, but it turns out this is similar to what dealerships charge. Maybe it was miscommunication. Either way, that was on me. Documentation fees are pretty standard and I should have asked for more detail around that (their contract says these are negotiable, but they really are not). They also did not disclose that there are breakpoints of this fee based on the agreed value, starting at $99, I believe. $249 was deducted from my offer. There might be one more above that. I was very close to the breakpoint for the $99 fee. They apparently can't lower the documentation fee, but you can try to negotiate higher to get to the same place. In the end, customer service is great, I easily sold my car within a couple of hours, and one of the managers followed up after about a question I had. The person seemed truthful that their business has very low margins and maybe they could get $300 to $500 above what they paid me. So, I suppose I could have pushed for another $100-$200, but nothing material. In the end, I got 15 good years out of the car, and sold something that was getting very little use, stopped the bleeding on county taxes and insurance, and avoided any further maintenance costs going forward. And hopefully, the current owner is enjoying driving a well-maintained vehicle that should provide for many years of use. So, I would recommend WBAC. Just take note of my recommendations above and you should do OK. I gave them 4 stars because of the documentation fee issue. Even if it was on me to ask the right questions, it would have been preferable if that was made clearer.
Told I had multiple codes
Told I had multiple codes, one that reduced the price by a $1000. Lol
Not one check engine light on.
You pay a fee to sell them your car.
I mean, its easier than selling yourself but you lose money doing so.
Did not meet expectations
I’m unhappy with the length of time I had to wait, 50 minutes, even with a scheduled appointment. Also, they indicated we had a deal, I would agree to the price offered, then turned around and added a $250 administrative fee, so the offer was less than indicated initially. I would not recommend selling your car to this company.

Disappointed customer- waited for 50 minutes after having a…
I waited for 50 minutes after having a scheduled appointment and having a rep call me prior to the appointment and tell me not to be late.
So after waiting I called their call center and spoke to a representative and I told him some constructive feedback in a nice way then he told me that there’s times that the paperwork work might be the tie up on their end. My representative only had 4 calls all day, so they should have called me back and told me to come later.
And finally getting a rep to come out and inspect the car that he beat me down to a lower price and we go in and I think we have a deal price out the door and then he hits me with a administrative fee.
I would never recommend this place to anybody, it was only $250, it wasn’t break them or me but the customer is always right. The manager should have gone to bat for me after I told him that I was really disappointed and he said to me, well the review is only for me to get promotion’s and status for my location.

They bought it
I was impressed by the thorough inspection and time spent checking out the old car. Layla was helpful and respectful. Everything was great until I noticed a $99 paperwork fee. Seems like that was not disclosed and taking $99 off a $400 offer was a bit much. I could get that much if I had called a tow for scrap. But I drove it there and getting $300 for an 06 Impala 205k miles is not exactly terrible. That beast lasted thru 3 boys for high school travels and I will be back again some day. Thank you, Jeremy
