A helpful and efficient company
‘We buy books’ are not always the most generous in their offers to you when selling your books but they are efficient and process quickly.
I have also approached them over books without ISBNs and agreed to their offer.
They acknowledge regular sellers and have a Pro account where your trades get an extra percentage added to your sale total.

Atrocious customer service
For the third time this week I have stayed at home all day waiting for my parcel to be collected. Courier was Royal Mail (first time) and Evri (last two). Not a word from anyone!!
We Buy Books just blame the courier but won't contact them, nor enable me to contact them. Quite simply, they don't give a hoot and simply re-book the collection again, expecting me to wait indoors for another 12 hours.
Absolutely atrocious service and I certainly won't be using them again.
Another company I sold my books to use DPD, and their service is about as good as it get Excellent communication and I was able to track exactly where the courier driver was.
Amazing that we've been able to put a man on the moon for well over 50 years, but We Buy Books can't get a courier to collect a parcel. Shocking!!!
One star is one too many, but can't put zero.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We're very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with your collections and apologise that what is designed to be a straightforward way of selling your books to us was anything but on this occasion.
We have spoken with you regarding the failed collections, and during our conversations you mentioned that you were unable to remain at home for the full collection window. When a collection is booked, we do advise that the courier may arrive at any time between 8am and 8pm. Unfortunately, these time slots are set by the courier and we are unable to provide any more specific collection times than those they supply.
Throughout your calls with our Customer Services team, we explained that we could raise complaints with the courier regarding the failed collection attempts, and we were happy to do so. However, we were also transparent that the collection window itself is outside of our control.
We can see that you were ultimately able to send your books using a drop-off point instead, and that your payment was processed promptly once your items were received.

Complete failure and waste of time and money
These people are either intentionally incompetent or criminally negligent. I ordered a book in May for my father in Ireland for Father's Day in June, there were delays, then cancellations on part of the order, they asked for the address again, I provided it again. Then they emailed me again at the end of June that they would need more time to deliver. No further communication or any form of delivered product was ever received from WeBuyBooks in the UK, despite numerous efforts on my part to provide the bookstore with all the information needed to deliver a book short of coming over there and holding their hand. When I asked again, they told me that it had been too long since the initial order and there was nothing they could do. Even with Brexit, I don't think it should be too difficult to ship a book from UK to Ireland.

We have reviewed your offer and agree with our Quality Control Team's decision to reject the A-Level Chemistry book, as the cover was torn away from the spine. As we resell the items we receive, they must meet the standards set out in our Item Condition Guidelines.
We appreciate your comments regarding return postage. As we cover the cost of sending items to us, we are unfortunately unable to cover the cost of returning books that do not meet our acceptance criteria. This is explained in our Item Condition Guidelines and Terms and Conditions before a trade is completed.

Although it was quite an onerous task entering and packing 5 archive boxes of books, it was so easy to arrange 'doorstep collection'. Payment, as always, was pretty prompt.
If in the future I find myself overwhelmed with too many books, I'd have no hesitation in using 'We Buy Books' again. Such a great help!
