We went to Germiston branch for a VW City Golf and ended up buying a Figo. Our sales person, Quinton Kotze was exceptional and went out of his way to make sure that we were helped in a very professional way. Thank you for the service.

WeBuyCars is like the Temu of the used…

WeBuyCars is like the Temu of the used car industry. What you see advertised on their website and what's stated in the condition report is very different from what you actually receive.

The sales and finance team were amazing and pushed the sale through within a few days but when I received my vehicle there were so many things that were very visibly wrong with it that was never disclosed on the condition report. Even the sales consultant that assisted me when the vehicle arrived at my closet branch for collection was baffled as to how it even got the roadworthy certificate.

It's taken 2 months of continuously having to follow up with their "customer care" department to get it repaired and I'm still waiting. The after sale service it disgusting and at this point I just want them to just come and collect the thing.

If I could give negative stars

If I could give negative stars my rating would be -1000000000.i did not buy a car from them as the blatant lies were evident. They wasted my time with a false listing. The car in the listing was perfect no rust, shiny and had a silver sticker rating. The car they bought out was not even cleaned visible rust on the boot, scratches all over, attempts at patching over rust with bondo. When it was pointed out they said it wasn't the case and the inspection would have picked it up. The chassis was completely rusted. The boot was wet in the spare wheel well so it had a leak. They also said full service history wich was not the case I checked the book. We pointed out that the sticker on this car was green when the one on the listing was a silver sticker. They attempted to convince us that it was for stock take (bull) the VIN number wasn't even the same on this car. They attempted to tell us the pics looked different because the pics were taken with an IPhone (I mean honestly). They then said it was taken in a studio to look nice (Cleary not the case ass well the pics were taken out side) they came up with so many dumb reasons as to why its not a different car they used for the listing, but I can smell the bull from a mile away. This place is fraudulent as heck and the guy spent like 15minutes trying to convince us to look at other cars. You couldn't pay me to get a car from here. To the owners of this place I hope your coffee is always too cold, your cloths are always slightly damp, there is hair in every bite you take and u have a hair in the back of your throat u can never get out.

Thought I found a Gem of a car ..

Thought I found a Gem of a car ... in the Lansdowne branch . The complex that the warehouse is in doesnt even have a proper road . I guess that was the first red flag.

- Their POS app doesnt work when you want to change your contact info .

- The kak sales guy only thought to email me 2 hours before closing time becuase he couldnt get hold me of on my phone .

Every single vehicle on the "showroom" (if you can even call it that) had severe oi leaks . even the platinum stickers. The place felt like a backwater pub.

The dekra report isnt worth the digital paper its on . Lies lies lies .

Despite hammering me on email , KNOWING i was on the way to look at the car , the salesperson was no where to be seen .

Waited 30 minutes for him to show up ... then they couldnt find the car???? 40 minutes later they magically found the car and asked us to walk to the other side of the warehouse ... gave him a stern look and he nervously laughed and said he would drive the car up .

vehicle was a 2007 honda jazz , AWESOME little car... but this example wasnt worth the wheels attached to it . The vehicle was listed as "ready" on the listing . This thing had enough rust to start a chopshop on its own . it was practically a write off .

Excuses left right and centre from the salesman,

Loyal Customer Betrayed: R10k in Repairs & CPA Violations at Richmond Park

After being a repeat customer of WeBuyCars, I am appalled by the blatant disregard for the Consumer Protection Act at the Richmond Park branch. In March, I purchased a 2013 Chev Spark based on a condition report that was materially inaccurate.

I have had to spend over R10,000 just to make the vehicle roadworthy. When I raised these inaccuracies, the staff’s response was a dismissive 'go to the Ombudsman.'

It is clear that loyalty means nothing and the CPA is viewed as a suggestion rather than the law here. If you are looking for a 'lemon' with a dishonest report, this is the place. Avoid Richmond Park and buy from a private seller on Marketplace instead—you'll get more honesty there. Formal complaint being lodged with the NCC regarding their recent Consent Order violations.

Bought a bike from them unfortunately…

Bought a bike from them unfortunately bought it from George branch and I am in Grahamstown. So you trust them and realized when I got bike eventually at my place something was drastically wrong with engine performance. So I had to get a quote, it was promised that they will sort it out by Reinhard Coetzee and his manager. It has been more than six weeks empty promises and ignoring phone calls. I paid the agents for repairs, but no word from them. Be careful before you make a purchase no after sales service

We buy cars Lansdowne

We buy cars Lansdowne - People stay far away from this place. Unprofessional service, nonchalant attitudes. They just there to sell cars. Endless problems, time wasting getting hold of them to sort out your issues. Took the car for a rattling noise underneath, came back with an oil leak and now again to replace the fuel pump regulator. So there was no 0 star to rate so I went with 1 star rating. Unacceptable, disappointing experience.

No assistance or way forward given with video interview

I applied to WeBuy cars for a vehicle buyer position. I did both the online assessment and the online video interview. They informed me that my audio in my video interview could not be heard. I re-did the interview 3 more times and all 3 times I tested my audio and it was fully functional. After all this they replied with a mail requesting telephonic assistance and asked If I would be fine with this. I agreed to this and after 5 Days of no response I sent them a mail asking them when we could pusue the matter, just by having a response telling me that I was unsuccesful with my application. So in other words they did not suggest a way forward and also did not consider giving me a fair chance to finish my video interview.
