Just a poor experience overall.

This is hands down, without a doubt, the absolute worst service for wedding vendors there is.

Coupled with the Knot, WeddingPro claims to advertise your business to thousands of couples planning their weddings. I have been on the platform 2 separate times (I gave it another shot because the first year I was onboarded was during the 2020 pandemic) and have spent well over $6,000 to advertise my business.

In return, I have received a few leads that have ended up being either fake, spam, or the couples didn't even mean to reach out to me. Just turn around and run in the other direction, call venues to be on their preferred vendor list, try Zola, Thumbtack, or literally any other option.

PREDATORS

How sad to know this is happening so frequently. I have spent nearly $4000 with TKWW and not one single good lead has come my way. They lured me in with fake stats and phony promises that I would book so many leads in my area and till this day, 10 months later, not one. I have done everything they told me I needed to do to have a strong profile, good review, lots of photos, accurate information, quick response times, everything but not a single person replied. These leads are HORRIBLE at best and completely FAKE at worst! Do not work with this company. Now I have reached out to them to cancel my account and they have told me I am locked in to a 12 month contract. A contract works 2 ways, not just one. Where is my value? What have I gotten out of this arrangement? I need my account canceled now and they should be happy I'm not asking for a full refund! Do better.

I wish I could give this company less…

I wish I could give this company less than 1 star -

Wedding wire is complete garbage. A family member of mine bought the domain we wanted to use through wedding wire without our knowledge and the domain cannot be transferred or released once done. Which sucks as the functionality of wedding wires domains are garbage and dont allow you to do half the stuff you could through Zola or another reputable site.

STAY AWAY FROM WEDDING WIRE !!!!

The worst money spent in campaigns.

The worst money spent in campaigns.
I got a few leads that never responded, every time I asked for help on how to get more leads I got an answer that I needed to put more money, then I read reviews I saw it was not my venue only is a common problem with other vendors. Complete waste of time and money.

I’m actually helping my daughter obtain…

I’m actually helping my daughter obtain an attorney to sue Wedding Wire/The knot. They said they would provide leads and they appear to be all fake like many other posters on here have stated. you respond to these fake people and they never respond. They sure have no issues with taking your money and leading you astray. I will not only ensure they lose their reputation, but I will be getting an attorney that will compensate for pain and suffering. By the time I am done with them, they will be shut down. So, please don’t walk away from this company today, run.

There needs to be a negative stars…

There needs to be a negative stars option. This company is a complete scam for vendors.

Do not waste your money with this platform. No wonder they do a 12 month minimum contract.

How they’re still in business is crazy.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Such a scam and waste of time

Such a scam and waste of time and money! I signed my business venue up for a year contract with Wedding Wire. Even their year minimum contract is part of their scam. There's no reason for it, they just trick you into committing for a year at an exorbitant price. Did we get leads? Yes, but of the 157 leads I got in the year, only 2 ever answered after reaching out the first time and not even one ever booked. Such a waste of time and money so I decided to cancel.

I tried to cancel after 6 months and they said I could not. That I could only cancel within a month of the end of my year contract. (What a scamming random rule!) So then within the month of the end of my contract, I wrote 3 different emails to their support@ address to cancel and they reply saying that my account manager will get back to me within 48 hours. They never get back to me. I eventually find out who that is (because the original account manager with whom I signed up does not work with WW anymore), and I email her directly. She responds that it's too late to cancel because it's within 5 business days of the end of my contract and I needed to cancel before that. ANOTHER RANDOM SCAMMING RULE! WHAT FRAUD! So after I wrote 4 emails to cancels, they charged my credit card at a higher rate for this additional month without my permission!!!

So I am reporting Wedding Pro as engaging in FRAUD to the Federal Better Business Bureau.

Do not do business with WeddingPro.

Do not do business with WeddingPro.
They promised the moon and stars and we got nothing but bogus leads and scammers.
When we attempted to explain this to our representative we were ignored and told we have no recourse.
This is unacceptable. They flat out lied to get us to sign and now we found out they are scamming us we are told we have no option to cancel. I hope they go bankrupt. I know I’m not alone in this judging from the comments online about them.

I signed up for Wedding Pro as a vendor…

I signed up for Wedding Pro as a vendor which created a profile for me on Wedding Wire and The Knot as a premarital therapist. All inquiries I have received have been scam inquiries OR people looking for an officiant instead of a therapist. I feel as though I was severely mislead with false statistics and fake expectations that I would have easy access to support. On top of that, there is NO flexibility or understanding for their vendors. I unexpectedly found out that I was pregnant and therefore not able to take on new clients even if this was actually working to get me valid leads. They simply will not allow me to cancel and this is having a devastating impact on my growing family with how expensive this is each month. I highly highly recommend that everyone stay away from Wedding Pro! Unless you want to waste thousands of dollars.

Incredibly frustrating

It's incredibly frustrating to deal with false reviews, especially when they can negatively impact your business. Despite paying a fee to be listed on their site, it’s disappointing that WeddingWire prioritizes protecting false reviews over supporting their vendors. We had a particularly troubling experience with a bride who canceled her wedding and then left slanderous and inaccurate claims. Unfortunately, WeddingWire refused to remove these false reviews, claiming they are protecting consumers. This policy seems counterintuitive, as it’s the vendors who support their site financially. Based on this experience, we would not recommend using WeddingWire.

If I could give a 0 I would

If I could give a 0 I would. They do not provide you decent wedding leads. Additionally if you wait too long to access your account they will trash it. They will not spare anything, all your photos, reviews, anything you have will be gone and if you want it back you need to pay them to advertise. Stay away!

If you are a vendor, beware! Do not advertise with the wedding wire or the knot

They are a scam! Crooked business practices, sales people who lie through their teeth and promises that never come to fruition. If you are a vendor do not advertise with them.!!!!!!!!!! We canceled our account with plenty time told them not to charge our credit card that we are canceling our account. They charged our card anyways and they have yet to give us our credit back..We own The Lodge at Bridal Creek.

Please STAY AWAY

Please STAY AWAY. I just got off the phone with Heather, my account manager after many attempts to get in touch with her. I want to cancel my 1 year agreement of advertising because it's really a SCAM. I spend $579/month an haven't booked a single wedding after spending $6k. Trust me I've been in the catering business for almost 30 years and you're better off advertising with Google. Don't advertise with anyone that ties you up in an annual contract. All the leads are fake not a single person responds. Beware of this company, it's a ripoff.

Tim's Florist Massapequa, ny…

so i posted a review of Tim's Florist in massapequa who did our wedding and the guy came in drunk and was tripping over and i posted the review on weddingwire.com where i met the guy and they were saying i can make accusations etc, the florist was asking telling them i didnt do business with them so i gave them copies of my invoices signed and dated from the florist but they still said i can't make accusations of him being drunk and tripping and dropping all the things during set up at my venue, when they weren't accusations they were true. They are very pro vendor and don't want to post the truth. terrible site for real reviews with real people!

MONEY PIT

This platform has been a big waste of time. After months of being harassed by this company I finally gave in to all the pressure tactics they use in sales (i.e. cutting prices in half to get you to sign the contract). It's temping but don't do it! Most of the leads are scams, the others don't reply. When pitching the sale they'll tell you "This business in your area received __ leads just last year, if you book even a fraction of that you'll break even" NOT TRUE. I swear they generate 99% of these "leads" that come through. Save your time and money and advertise through local sources.

Awful practices

I have had several years' worth of dealings with Wedding Wire. I paid for a year of advertising with them, and had over 100 inquiries that way. But only one booking. (my normal booking percentage is above 50%, so this is a testament to the low quality leads).

Once you decide you will no longer pay, they think of every way they can hurt your business, including charging your card without your permission, silently changing user terms so that you are automatically renewed for another year of advertising without notifying you, and then charging 'overdue' fees if you change your credit card on file.

It also seems that once you stop paying them, they will delist or blacklist you and remove even the regular (free) services available to other nonpaying vendors.

Dealing with them is frustrating, and all the customer service staff are quick to blame you (the user) rather than politely inquiring about the issue. They also blatantly lied about their success (WW told me some really fantastic booking numbers that a local wedding vendor had had with them; I got in touch with said vendor, and they confirmed those numbers were a lie)

It's just a terrible experience overall, and it's a shame that they are otherwise a useful service to folks looking for wedding vendors, who do not know how vendors are treated.

I would never recommend them to any other wedding vendor.

Should be Illegal

Their business practice should honestly be illegal. It's unethical at best, and infuriating to deal with. Their customer service/"account management" team keeps rotating account managers without notifying me, so I've had to deal with multiple people on multiple occasions.

I haven't gotten a single quality lead from this platform. Every single one of them is unresponsive, and I have received several spam inquiries of people trying to fish and scam for information. TheKnot/WeddingPro/WeddingWire refuses to let me cancel or provide a refund.

I will NEVER trust this company or hire them for ANY services EVER again.
