Thanks Luke!

After a disappointing experience with another company, I called We Fix who was able to efficiently book me in for an appointment right away without hesitation for the week after.

We had an electrician Luke, who was so professional and helpful- he managed to sort out the issue within a couple hours and was super knowledgeable on what had happened - also explaining to me next steps if the issue occurred again.

Would highly recommend reaching out and booking if you need an quick response and fix!

£399 for two radiator valves - excessive pricing

UPDATE (4 Feb, 4pm) In response to the company’s reply below:

To clarify: The £399 I paid already included your 10% discount - without it, the cost would have been even higher. I never said I tried to cancel the appointment. I said your 24-hour cancellation policy prevented me from canceling after I’d resolved the leak myself. When you called to say the engineer was on his way, I acknowledged the call - I never said I was ‘happy’ to proceed.
The facts remain: £399 for two standard valves on one radiator, with 2 hours charged including time for phone calls, parking and paperwork, is excessive.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (4 Feb, 11am):
Called with a leaking radiator and was given a next-day appointment (not emergency call-out). Their 24-hour cancellation policy (£150 + VAT minimum charge regardless) was emphasized at booking. That evening, I managed to stop the leak myself - over 17 hours before the scheduled appointment - but felt unable to cancel.
Pricing: £150 + VAT per hour (1 hour minimum). I was charged for 2 hours labor (£300) + £35 parts + VAT. Total: £399.
The actual work took ~90 minutes. The 2-hour charge included time spent on phone calls, collecting items from van, and writing invoice. When I questioned the cost, I was told it was “because it was an emergency” - despite it being a scheduled next-day appointment.
Work was completed properly, but recommend:
∙ Get multiple quotes - this straightforward job should cost around £100-150 total
∙ Be aware of their cancellation policy (you pay the 1-hour minimum even if you cancel)
∙ Clarify what counts as billable time
∙ Look beyond top Google results for better value
£399 for replacing two standard. valves on one radiator is excessive.

I am also very surprised to receive this feedback as, when I called to notify you that our engineer was on the way, you were happy for them to attend to fix your radiator even though the leak had been resolved. We do not have a record of you making contact to cancel the booking in advance.

As a reputable firm with transparent pricing, our hourly rate was advised at the time of booking and you also received a 10% discount when the appointment was made. We pride ourselves on the professionalism of our engineers, and if two hours was taken to complete the works I am confident that it was necessary.

I have tried to reach out to you by telephone to discuss your concerns and will continue to do so.

Mark Penniall a hero

Mark Penniall found, and repaired a gas leak after a couple of other companies weren't able to locate and sort the issue. He was very nice and professional, and thanks to him we now have a warm house and can have warm showers in the morning. Not the cheapest rates available, but high quality and quick turnaround. My only regret is starting to heat my dinner while he was still here and making him hungry. Would recommend!

Plumbing Issue

I called Wefix London as the tap on my sink was very loose and leaking badly underneath and needed replacing, Sam arrived within the hour, he looked very smart in his uniform and treated my property with respect, he replaced the tap and fixed the leak, Sam was very pleasant and professional and I would not hesitate to use Sam and Wefix London should I have any more issues in the future.

Prompt, polite, reliable

We had an out of hours emergency. Our bathroom door would not open. Alex fixed it for us. He turned up on time and was incredibly friendly and professional. He worked quickly and gave us knowledgeable advice about replacement locks. Highly recommended and we will use Wefix London again.

Exemplary Boiler Replacement

We had an issue with our boiler which we were struggling to get fixed - even our insurance was taking.over a week. We phoned in a request late on Thursday, and the engineer, Matt, arrived before 9 on Friday. A quick inspection and we were advised to switch boiler brand and were given a quote. In terms of service, Matt and his colleague were fantastic, sorting out a new flue in line with regs, getting the gas pipeline into the house fixed which had corroded and was leaking, and, amazingly, working out that our system had been plumbed the wrong way round for years - finally we have amazing heat through the entire house. The quote was probably a couple of grand more than online boiler fitters, but they sorted our issue in 24 hours, were very professional, absolutely expert and very decent and trustworthy. We will use them again.
