Great service from making my first enquiry to coming home to a spotless house.
Needed a one off clean due to being busy and not having the chance to do things like skirting boards, kitchen cupboards etc.
Amie provided an excellent service and found someone to do the job with little notice.
Hazel arrived at the agreed time and what a friendly lady. I had no issues leaving her in my home to get the job done.
Came home to a sparkling house. Hazel had done all the tasks I asked her to do and more !!!

Awful experience with this company. The business model is a con, pay £34 a month 'admin fee' and then pay the cleaner £13.50 p/h directly. I had 5 cleaners in 5 months and only 1 of those was really up to scratch (but was flakey), clearly they are not being paid enough (or are not sufficiently trained/vetted) to do a decent job/stick around. I felt as though they were doing the bare minimum and were begrudging towards the company.
The manager Pauline doesn't know what is going on, whether her cleaners turn up, what the scheduled hours are, etc. so I have no idea what the monthly fee is paying for. On a number of occasions the cleaners cancelled/cut their time short but you still have to pay the same monthly fee so the hourly cleaning rate turns out to be quite costly.
The only reason I continued with the company for 5 months is because I had a newborn and didn't have the headspace to leave.
When I finally called it a day, the manager Pauline was dismissive and rude and didn't respond to my last messages trying to find out when my last contractual payment would be, even though I was very polite about my bad experience and reasons for leaving. Don't put yourself through the stress with this company, go elsewhere!!

Was vacating my flat to move to ventures new and found this company via google after using previous firms with varying results. I found the initial communication excellent and the prices quoted very competitive.
A week before the clean I was notified of the expected time of arrival as well as the cleaners names who would be there.
On the day Claire and Jane were prompt, well presented and did an excellent job, leaving no stone unturned so to speak.
Would highly recommend and if ever back in the UK would use the services again without hesitation

Jonathan found us a fabulous cleaner within hours. After having unreliable cleaners it’s a relief to have someone good that is reliable. The house sparkles and smells amazing after she’s been , such a treat to come into after a busy day at work . Highly recommend!

I am writing this review as a serious warning to anyone in the Stevenage and Hitchin area considering using Well Polished, specifically the franchise run by Cate (C-A-T-E) Brown. My experience was not just unprofessional; it was deeply concerning from a data security perspective.

This company was presented as a top recommendation by a research AI, based on what appeared to be a perfect 5-star rating from just 17 online reviews. My real-world experience was the complete opposite of what this data suggested.  

I called for a simple quote for a deep clean and a future fortnightly service. When I asked what information was needed, the franchisee, Cate Brown, replied, "everything." When I questioned this, she proceeded to take my full name, postcode, house number, verified my private phone number from her caller ID, and took my primary email address.

After securing all my personal data, she ended the call abruptly, claiming to be busy but promising to send an "email package" with all the information. That email never arrived.

Over the next 48 hours, I was completely stonewalled. My three voicemails and a follow-up email were all ignored. My concern grew significantly after contacting other professional cleaning firms for quotes, all of whom confirmed they only ever require a postcode to provide initial pricing.

The most disturbing part came after I complained to the Well Polished head office about my data being taken without any service being offered. I then received an email from Cate Brown claiming she had not taken down my details and only had my phone number from a voicemail. This was a blatant lie, proven by the fact she was replying to the very email address she claimed not to have.

Due to the seriousness of this, I have since filed a formal complaint with the ICO (the Information Commissioner's Office, which investigates the misuse of personal data) and have also reported the matter to Trading Standards. The Well Polished head office has also failed to respond to my formal complaint, showing a complete lack of accountability from the top down.

This behaviour is not just unprofessional; it is deeply suspicious. My real-world experience makes me question why a business would operate this way, gathering sensitive personal data under the false pretence of providing a quote, only to ghost a potential customer and then lie about it when confronted.

Do not trust this franchise with your personal information. The combination of data harvesting, complete lack of professionalism, and outright dishonesty is a serious warning sign. Stay well clear.

From initial contact to first clean I can’t fault the service. Efficient, professional and the person assigned to clean my mum’s house could not have done a more thorough job. Really pleased and would recommend Well Polished to others.

I needed to organise a deep clean of my Father’s flat following a sudden deterioration in his health and consequent hospital admission. I had spoken to a couple of agencies, but as soon as I spoke with Kate (Chingford), I felt immediately reassured that my request could be met with ease and efficiency. It was by no means the cheapest, but the cleaners did an excellent job of turning a flat in a poor state of cleanliness to a flat that was pretty much sparkling. As part of the clean (as part of the request) the carpets were also revitalised. Thank you so much to Kate and her cleaners for being able to respond to this in a timely manner and relieve me of one issue in a complex situation .

Really great service. Tina is always happy to help and a lovely lady. My cleaners Amy and Jody couldn’t be any better and are amazing with my dogs ,which was a big must for me. The girls are always friendly and professional and do a fantastic clean. I would thoroughly recommend.

From the onset of using Well polished to source a cleaner for my father, I would describe the company as efficient and professional. They understood his circumstances and matched these to a cleaner. For different reasons we had two different ladies clean at different times and Paula in the office listened to the feedback we provided and also provided flexibility as a result of our change in circumstances. We recently had Poppy- Rose undertake a deep clean at the house, she was very thorough in her work and did a very good job. Paying attention to the smaller details. If I require the services of a cleaner in the future I would without hesitation contact Well Polished and would certainly welcome Poppy-Rose.

We have just had our first clean for my mum with Jessica she was fabulous her cleaning was a big 10 out of 10 and she has a lovely personality my mum liked her which made her quite happy to have a cleaner. Helpful and professional. Responds quickly. Kind and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Started well but this company use sub-contracted cleaners. If you get a good cleaner that is responsible and cares about the client then you are onto a winner, if you require more than a one off clean.
However, be aware that in my experience, the cleaner can choose to not visit with just a few minutes notice, change days, times or not fulfill their agreed schedule at all. The company have little recourse and have to then attempt to find an alternative cleaner at short notice that may not materialise.
The company try their best to provide a stand in, but this is far from ideal for many customers.

Booked in two cleaners for a one off deep clean. Booking process was efficient and easy, the two cleaners arrived on time and were very polite. Highly recommend 🙂

Well polished were very helpful and managed to fit me in at short notice. Jordan, my cleaner was really good. Nothing was too much trouble! Would highly recommend. House was super clean after!

Well polished found me an excellent cleaner. They listened to the details of what I was looking for and promptly arranged for Angela to start cleaning the next week. Angela is thorough & efficient, I am so grateful for her help every week. She cleans everything from light-fittings in the ceiling down to the skirting boards and the house feels great when she’s done.

When Angela was away they arranged for Hannah to do a cover clean so we didn’t miss a week, she was fabulous too.
