Request for Resolution on Missing Refunds

Subject: Urgent: Request for Resolution on Missing Refunds

Dear Wells Fargo Customer Service,

I am writing to express my frustration regarding an ongoing issue I have experienced with my business account. This marks the third occasion where a refund from a business has been returned to my account, only for the funds to subsequently disappear. This issue is not new, as I have faced similar situations with Wells Fargo in the past.

On November 26, 2025, my business account was charged by Zen Business for two transactions: one for $49 and another for $199. After disputing these charges, Zen Business agreed to reverse both amounts. I confirmed the reversals in the Wells Fargo app, where I saw the two amounts reflected with plus signs, indicating the funds were returned.

However, later that same day, I noticed that these two amounts vanished from my account, resulting in a negative balance. This trend of losing funds from my account is concerning, and it raises questions about the reliability of my financial institution.

I have documented evidence of these transactions, including photos and receipts of the charge reversals. I believe that as a customer, I deserve to have trust in my banking institution, and I am deeply unsettled by this situation.

I kindly request that you investigate this matter urgently and ensure that my funds are restored to my account. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue.

Here’s the sidenote. And you can actually follow this on trust pilot. On November 25, 2025 you will find a review and update updates about Zen business with the same transaction. Zen business return the funds. Now I have to fight with my financial institution to keep my money and it just disappears.
WELLS FARGO WILL STEAL FROM YOU. And that’s the nicest place way I can put it. It’s happened multiple times for me before and by reading the rest of the reviews in this site I’m not the only one. This institution needs to be broken up.. Yet our government keeps bailing them out with our tax paying dollars.

Sincerely,
James Jones

I’m beyond frustrated with Wells Fargo

I’m beyond frustrated with Wells Fargo. On Monday at 10:30am at the Pacific Highlands Ranch branch, I initiated a wire transfer for $1,200,000 that was being held in trust for the benefit of a client who needed the money ASAP. A couple hours later I got a call saying they had “technical difficulties” and the transfer didn’t go through. This delayed a critical transaction and created completely unnecessary stress.
I’ve been a customer for 28 years. For a bank of this size, failing to execute a time-sensitive wire and then expecting the business customer to come back and redo the entire process is unacceptable. If you can’t reliably send a wire and you don’t immediately fix it without forcing the customer to start over, you’re not functioning as a serious bank. I have better things to do than spend another hour schlepping back and forth to a branch and repeating a transaction that should have been handled correctly the first time — especially when my time bills at $600/hour. They offered no compensation or meaningful remedy for the inconvenience they caused.
After this experience, I’m closing my business and trust accounts and moving elsewhere. Long-term relationship or not, reliability matters — and Wells Fargo didn’t deliver when it counted.

If I could give a 0 star I would

If I could give a 0 star I would. I opened an account today. (The person I dealt with was snarky and condescending.) I looked on Google to see if they give "temporary" debit cards at the branch, and it said they did; but upon arrival (after I had opened the account) I was advised that they dont anymore. I was told that I could add my "digital" card to Google pay. I did as such, but WALMART doesn't have tap. I tried to do an order online and it kept declining. I tried to send my mom money via Zelle and it said WF couldn't let it go through. Both times I call CS only to be told, "It is a protection mechanism for customers and my account was blocked for 24-72 hrs from zelle. I was FURIOUS...HOW DARE they block me from MY money!!!!!
The Zelle thing literally has 49593945 pop ups about scamming, making sure you're sending it to someone you know blah blah blah....but NOW I have to wait until THEY say I can send money from MY accounts? GO TO HELL WELLS FARGO!!!!
Im closing my account and they will be giving me back my 11k as soon as they open in the morning!
I will stick my money under a mattress before I allow ANYONE to tell me when and how I can spend my money!!!!

After four months of trying to resolve…

After four months of trying to resolve a legitimate dispute from august 2025 to Nov 11 2025, Wells Fargo completely failed to protect me as a customer. Despite providing clear documentation, photos, and official complaint evidence, they sided with the merchant without truly investigating. Their representatives gave inconsistent answers and brushed off valid concerns.

This is the second time Wells Fargo has failed to handle a consumer issue properly, showing a lack of accountability and care. I no longer trust their dispute process — it’s designed to protect companies, not customers.

“After this experience, I’ve decided to move my money to a credit union that actually values its members — because Wells Fargo clearly doesn’t.”

Wells Fargo sides with Healthy Italia who misleads customers into believing they’re buying authentic Italian products when many items are mislabeled, uncertified, or not even from Italy. Their “Garda” and “Taggiasca” olive oils lack required DOP/IGP seals, and they quietly rearranged these items on their site after being called out.

They also sold Panettone and Colomba cakes year-round (which no real Italian shop does) before removing them once noticed. Their response claiming “DOP/IGP isn’t required” is false — these seals define authentic Italian quality.

Healthy Italia ignores people reporting expired food yet responds defensively to anyone who questions their honesty. That’s not transparency — that’s selective damage control.

This company isn’t authentic; it’s artificial — and frankly, not very bright or smart.

3 years of trying to close 2 simple accounts with this terrible bank. They seem to have lost certificates, important documents several times and still write to my parents even after they know they both passed away many years ago. Many years of terrible service from Wells Fargo.

Avoid this location trying to get my daily change which all this morning simple deal I thought but no I didn’t recognize this teller so I gave her my drivers license to begin with and she started questioning me about the deposit from yesterday why was it much higher from the day before? I thought she was joking but she was serious saying your answer was not enough like I was making no sense. She called over her manager who asked me the same stupid questions I asked what is the purpose for so many questions I have a merchant Wells Fargo credit card machine in my auto recycling business and that is what we made in credit card sales from yesterday. I don’t know how else to explain it to you I don’t understand what is so surprising about that. I finally said I gave you my drivers license and my SSN I don’t understand why this is taking so long I just need the change I need for the day and a balance receipt I have never been treated like a criminal is it my hair? Do I look like a bum because that’s the way you are treating me . What else can I do to avoid this. Then I thought just don’t return to this Wells Fargo they just treat people like they’re bums.

Outgoing CCH transfers are a disaster

Outgoing CCH transfers are a disaster. Billpay failures, included.

The bank is abysmal, but I've cashed in on their incompetence. They've paid me $625 for opening credit card and checking accounts over the past two years. I've also earned over $200 in savings account interest using 15 and 12 months of free float. (Not using Wells Fargo savings though.)

I keep a checking account open to automatically get credit card bonus interest whenever it reaches $25.

Play their game by the rules, and win big!

I had an account with them

I had an account with them
I began having problems with a company that I was paying every 2 weeks . I emailed them and asked for a pay later option due to having no money. I called Wells Fargo and said not to pay them band they said they would stop paying them. My bank overdraftered me approximately 14 or more times as the company was still charging me. At this time my bank account is so high in fees , overdrafts and charges from a buy now pay later site I cannot afford to pay any off it. My account is closed, they lied to me continuing overdrafts and charges. I cannot get another account because of them and at 74 years old I can't get direct deposit. I can't get a loan to pay them with no bank account and I feel I was robbed by Wells Fargo.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. Well Fargo is the worse. First, they changed their cashiers check policy, now they sided with a fraudulent merchant. The merchant presented itself as a UNited states merchant in New York but they were really in China. They had the same exact website. WF wouldn’t allow me to open another claim after I received the merchandise( as “Jasmine” like the follower””)said I couldn’t from WF.I called WF and updated them in September. WF sent me a letter in Oct. I called and they said by the time I called on Sept 10 to give additional information they had already made the decision. The letter from WF said the transaction was authorized; of course it was! I thought I was ordering from the real website the merchant were posing as. I am so discussed with Well Fargo. Closing my account as soon as I can shift to my other account. I’ve been with my other institution just as long as WF and never had an issue. The ONLY reason I went with WF is because if you get paid on Friday, you can have it by Wed or Thur. with direct deposit. WF is a headache that no one needs especially with our current political climate. According to these other reviews October is not WF month and they really need to do better. I hope more people leave review and leave because it’s no coincidence that these many people are having such difficulty. I will leave a review everywhere permissible.

Wells Fargo Denied My Fraud Claim Despite Evidence, Internal Support, and Regulation E ProtectionsTitle

Title: Wells Fargo Denied My Fraud Claim Despite Evidence, Internal Support, and Regulation E Protections

I’m sharing this because I’ve exhausted every internal channel and Wells Fargo refuses to help.
I disputed a charge within 24 hours for a hotel reservation I never used, never canceled, and never received. The hotel confirmed in writing that the room was never occupied or canceled by me.
The vendor (Hotelbeds, based in Europe) falsely told Wells Fargo that I canceled and stayed. Wells Fargo accepted this lie without reviewing the hotel’s confirmation or any of my documentation.

A Wells Fargo banker reviewed my case, agreed I shouldn’t be liable, and even faxed supporting documentation—including negative reviews of the vendor—to the fraud department. I have a copy of that fax with the banker’s name on it. Still, Wells Fargo denied my claim.

I filed a small claims case, which was dismissed because the vendor is overseas. The BBB gives Hotelbeds an F rating and recommends banks help consumers resolve disputes. Wells Fargo refused.
Under Regulation E, I’m protected from liability for unauthorized electronic fund transfers when I report promptly and receive no benefit. I met all criteria. Wells Fargo ignored it.
I’ve filed a CFPB complaint and sent certified letters. No resolution.

If you’ve had similar experiences or know someone who can help, please share. Consumers deserve protection—and accountability.

Subject: Terrible Experience with Safe Deposit Box Security

Re: The branch of 1045 W. March Lane, Stockton CA

In December 2021, I rented a safe deposit box at this branch to store some valuable jewelry and Emergency cash. Unfortunately, my experience was far from reassuring. In January 2025, their maintenance team mistakenly drilled into my box, and I discovered afterward that several items, including cash and a few golden family heirloom, were missing.
The branch had no security footage available to review the incident, which made it impossible to verify what happened. When I filed a claim, the bank manager and customer services dismissed my concerns. The bank’s lease agreement limits their liability to $10,000, far less than the value of my missing items, and my only option was arbitration, which would cost me $10k–$15k in legal fees. Additionally, the Lease Agreement indicates the sole resolution of any dispute is Arbitration, so you cannot sue them at the civil court. This setup feels designed to protect the bank, not the customer.
This incident exposed serious flaws in their security and accountability processes. I expected better protection for my valuables, yet it turned into a nightmare. My loss is significant. I’d urge lawmakers to revise the current Arbitration Agreement to protect consumers. I also would urge other consumers to consider
private vault services or home safes with separate insurance instead of relying on bank safe deposit boxes. Last, I hope Wells Fargo improves their systems to prevent this from happening in future too. I don't think Wells Fargo can sustain when they are not accountable for their own mistakes and poor management.
