Do not go

Do not go. They have no idea what each other is doing. Very rude. I had a dental emergency and used them years ago but they are nothing like they were. The office and the call center do not sync up so appt are wrong service is bad. People you deserve better

Miss management

This dental clinic is doesn’t know about time management so with very rude staff I don’t recommend this clinic to no one. I had been waiting for 3 hours after that they told me you have reschedule the appointment these guys time killers.

Western Dental & Orthodontics in Loma…

Western Dental & Orthodontics in Loma Linda, California, provided substandard care, marked by mistreatment, disrespect, and condescending behavior. The extraction of my upper teeth was followed by damage to my immediate denture, leading me to file a formal complaint. Unfortunately, this resulted in retaliatory actions, compromising my care and yielding an ill-fitting denture due to harsh treatment from the dentist. Escalating the issue to the manager proved fruitless, as she responded with yelling and unprofessionalism. The treatment I received was unacceptable, and I caution against seeking care here. Having been billed for services not adequately rendered, I intend to seek alternative care to secure a properly fitting denture, a fundamental right that Western Dental & Orthodontics has failed to uphold. I will not recommend this facility to anyone.

Lancaster, CA

Lancaster, CA office called me with less than 24 hours notice because this office stated they had no materials in the office to complete an impression. Additionally they wanted to do ex-rays of my mouth when I use dentures and have no teeth. I would call the office personnel here Morons, but that would downgrade the people in life that are mentally challenged. I cannot in good conscience recommend this office. They are careless, dismissive and exceptionally rude.

Disorganized, Rude, Unprofessional

This admin side of this office is a joke. My very first appointment I was waiting for over an hour to see the doctor because they had me down under a different appt time than I was told over the phone when I booked it. They also had my name and birthdate wrong in their system. I was then talked into getting some custom trays made for an anti gingivitis at home treatment. Despite being custom made, and only rinsing them in cold water (like instructed), the bottom set is so tight it scrapes up my gums when I use it. So over $1000 and I can’t use them. I’m going to try to get my money back but this place is so disorganized I don’t have high hopes.

I also got a temporary crown done at my second appointment in May and still haven't gotten the permanent crown put in. I had an appointment set in June where I was told they would replace my crown and do some fillings. No one told me that my crown never came in, so the appointment was spent waiting for the dentist to see if they could figure out where my crown was and when it would arrive and also not getting any fillings done because of a chart mixup that meant they didn't know I needed fillings at that appointment.

They booked me for a new appointment a month later in July where I was told they would do all my fillings and replace my crown since it should be in by then. I just called to confirm these details (my appt is for Friday) and was told they don't know if my crown is available and that they wouldn't have time to do the crown at my appointment and also wouldn't be able to do all my fillings because they break for lunch at 1pm and my appt is at 12. I specifically requested to have an appt for all my fillings and my crown and was told that's what this appt was for when I booked it. The woman on the phone didn't apologize at all for this mixup and just kept telling me they can't check if they'll have time until Thursday cuz the doctor isn't in until then. Once they get my crown replaced, I'm never coming back to this office.

If you care about getting prompt and reliable care for your teeth, don't go here.

UPDATE: After calling them over and over about the status of my crown (they kept promising to call back but didn’t- I had to reach out to them every time except once out of 5 or 6 calls), they finally told me there was an error with the lab and they would have to redo my impression to make a NEW crown. No apologies for this error or any of their other mistakes. This place is the most unprofessional and least organized business I’ve ever seen. I’ve been 2 year olds who are better organized than the staff here. They should be shut down.

Western Dental isn’t just a bad clinic — it’s a full-blown scam disguised as a dental care provider. This company is a well-trained group of slick scammers who know exactly how to take advantage of people when they’re in pain and vulnerable.
I went to one of their locations while suffering from severe tooth pain. I had insurance and trusted that I’d be treated fairly. Instead, I was pressured into agreeing to multiple vague procedures, starting with a simple cleaning. I ended up on the chair for 4 hours, while one so-called dentist juggled 3 patients at once, barely giving me 20 minutes of rushed, brutal cleaning that felt like she was carving into stone. It was careless and unprofessional — I honestly question if she was even licensed.
Then came the real abuse — a $1,800 bill, including $950 for some "Gumex" product I refused. My insurance stated I should’ve only paid $55 out of pocket. But Western Dental refused to adjust the charges. I raised my voice right there, called them out for scamming me in person. Since then, I’ve made over 10 calls to both the clinic and their corporate customer service — each time, I was told “someone will call you back,” or “a manager is reviewing it.” Nothing. No help. No refund. Just excuses.
This isn’t just a one-time mistake. This is their business model — prey on desperate patients, push overpriced and often unnecessary treatments, then trap them in bills they never agreed to. The entire company is designed to make money off your pain. There is no compassion. No ethics. No accountability.
Western Dental, you should be ashamed. Your clinics are filled with unqualified staff, your customer service is a joke, and your whole company operates like a legal scam ring. You’ve made me afraid to seek further dental care. That’s how deep your damage goes.
To anyone reading this: Avoid Western Dental at all costs. Don’t let them do to you what they did to me.

My daughter has an appointment at Gardena Western Dental and they never called her, so after 3 hours of waiting I asked them to reshudule her. However, they took several people in front of her. My daughter is disabled so I hope that is not the case. However, I made another appointment and the lady was having a conversation in Spanish about personal things while my daughter stood there for over 7 mins waiting to ask when she was next. The lady was rude and should leave her personal rudeness and prejudices at home. Not good at all

Medicaid is better than this dumpster fire

This has been my worst and most prolonged dental experience.

They scheduled me for a crown that wasn’t even ready—no call, no update, just wasted my time. I only found out when I arrived.
Had to come back for another appointment

Then, they tried to charge me $350 when my copay is $0. Had to call my insurance myself to prove them wrong.
Had to come back on another appointment.

Now, the day before my rescheduled appointment, they cancel because I suddenly need a root canal first—at ANOTHER location—just to come back for the crown.
Have to come back for another appointment.

I wouldn’t have left a review if every single appointment hadn’t gone terribly.

Disorganized and bloated process.

I’ve had Medicaid dentists and they were leagues above this trash fire.

4 months later: they are still saying I need a procedure but still are confused about procedure. Unbelievable process.

Everybody that goes there watch out

Yes, I went down there gave me a consultation that is $11,000. I was part of my cost since my insurance won’t cover that I told him no way I was gonna leave and then consultation lady asked me. Oh do you have another insurance? I told him I did, but I wasn’t gonna use it there as I’m getting ready to leave. They start being told me oh, you do have Medicare that covers for everything I thought about it for a minute I’m already there. I said OK I leave. I’m supposed to get a phone call. I got a phone call for a bill. They were demanding me to pay them immediately. That’s when I said no you shouldn’t did anything to me in the first place once you’re towed your insurance is gonna cover your medical account. Why am I getting a bill now? I told him they can talk to my attorney about this and they’re still bothering calling me about it some nerve I went to another facility. I’m all covered. All they wanna do is jack people up for money? no one they got a bad reading. I should just go somewhere else. Don’t go to Western dental. Trust me. I seen all the reviews. I should’ve saw that first before I went there and they are very rude.

Tried to make an appointment but the…

Tried to make an appointment but the receptionist had major difficulties understanding me and not remembering the information just given. Put me on hold several time and asked the same info again. The appointment he made was never confirmed and when I called today to check on it he said my appointment did not exist. I wasted a lot of my time. I found a better professional dental office in the meantime.

I was seen promptly after being greeted courteously. The staff was very pleasant and professional. Impressions of my teeth were made for partials top and bottom also deep cleaning. I was put at ease although I came in feeling very anxious. My teeth feel cleaner and more secure in my gums. I realize removal of plague is very important for a healthy mouth. Very good experience and happy to return for future appointments.

Upselling their services

Unfriendly front desk staff. Unprofessional. Will chit chat about personal matters before acknowledging a patient standing in front of them who has just walked in.
The doctor does not introduce herself! And attempts to sell you on procedures that can obviously be considered as optional. Example: a nighttime teeth guard. According to them, the $15.00 dollar, over the counter at the pharmacy, is not good enough. A $400.+ custom guard” is the only option.
Will NOT be recommending this business.

Horrible, Money-Hungry Scam with Incompetent Staff and Low-Quality Treatment

My experience at Western Dental and Orthodontic at 1110 S King Rd, San Jose, CA 95122 was beyond terrible. This place is a complete joke. The office staff is shockingly rude, lazy, and completely incompetent. They seem to have no idea what they’re doing and clearly don’t care about patients. Every visit, they push unnecessary X-rays with the most absurd excuses—“the new doctor doesn’t understand,” “the X-ray is too old,” or “it wasn’t taken well.” It’s blatantly obvious they’re just trying to suck money from your insurance.

The quality of the treatment is horrendous—barely worth a penny. They take forever to start any procedure, and when they do, the results are mediocre at best. After wasting hours in the office, my son only had one filling done when he needed three, and it wasn’t even done properly. I wouldn’t trust them to handle anything more serious, as they seem more focused on getting you out the door quickly than providing good care.

The waiting time is ridiculous—every appointment is a minimum of two hours of sitting around before anything even happens. Meanwhile, the staff stands around gossiping, completely ignoring the patients. There’s no supervision, no oversight, and no accountability whatsoever. It feels like a free-for-all where the staff does whatever they want with no regard for your time or health.

They don’t even bother to schedule follow-up appointments, claiming they’re “fully booked” without checking their system, and then have the nerve to act annoyed when you ask for an appointment. Their attitude is so unprofessional and rude—it’s like they’re doing you a favor by just existing.

If you want to be disrespected, ignored, and overcharged for things you don’t need, while receiving low-quality treatment, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away from this scam of a dental chain. They don’t care about anything but draining your insurance, and their staff is an embarrassment to the profession.

Fullerton Western Dental is Garbage

I went to the Fullerton office and I recently had to request info from them for some aligners I was getting. This was a disaster and this should be a warning to all people who use them or thinking about using them. I needed one thing complete and I can't get it done. They don't answer the phone and they put you on hold for an hour. It's always the same excuse "we are short handed" This place is trash I don't recommend....
