I’d give 0 stars if I could.
I’d give 0 stars if I could.. I went to the dentist for one reason and one reason only - my filing had fallen and I was with an open tooth.. The primary care was impressively good and fast, and I was so happy with what I was getting!! They X-rayed me, measured my teeth, looked for cavities and stuff.. Then a dentist comes and says that I need root canal on that specific tooth - which I already knew - so they would file a claim to MediCal to get my treatment covered.. so far so good!! They took care of some other stuff they figured was necessary in my mouth and they told me to schedule another appointment for FOUR WEEKS LATER (which was the time it took the insurance company to authorize the treatment, according to them).. Before leaving the office they offered me all sorts of other unnecessary things ‘that I should pay out of pocket’ (I’m an international student and talked to my dentist from back home and he said all of that was marketing talk to get me to buy their products, so I refused it).. I waited patiently for the four weeks to pass, having to eat with only one side of the mouth, having constant pain and not being able to take just any type of medicine because I’m pregnant.. The day of the appointment comes and I show up at the office only to know that “the endodontist only goes there every 40/50 days and he wouldn’t be there for another month”.. and I was like: “WHAAAT?!?!?” Why haven’t they told me this before?! Why make me a fool and wait for TWO MONTHS to receive care?! I could have gone somewhere else!! This is completely absurd and a total lack of care with the patient.. I’m in pain!! I’m not able to eat normally and now it’s been more than two months since my filling fell.. I told them I wouldn’t leave the office without them referring me to someone who could actually solve my problem.. They only gave me a paper with 3 phone numbers (which I called and still couldn’t get anyone to see me) and now I have to wait until the end of this month (two weeks from now) to go there again.. Hopefully this time they will actually do the root canal.. But I must say that my experience with this dental office has been THE WORST POSSIBLE and the only reason I’m going back to do the treatment is because I’m afraid it will take another month or two to get it somewhere else’s due to insurance rules.. RUN AWAY FROM THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS!!
I wish somebody told me before I think…
I wish somebody told me before I think I didn’t did my research because I was an emergency. I went to Western dental of Reseda for an extraction and they didn’t do the extraction. . I spent my whole day over there and now they are charging me
$2578 for a cleaning of five minutes, and I went to other of their clinics for the extraction and they charged $977 I don’t have insurance. But this is a nightmare.
A f*** joke - $900 for a routine cleaning
A f**** joke. When they call me back, they give me a cup of mouthwash and apparently that is the only cleaning I ever get, a self-administered 15-second mouthwash. They take some x-rays, so hurried that the tech has to redo several shots and then the “doctor” sees me. He asks me what we’re doing. He actually doesn’t know. He starts by checking my gums. Then he starts trying to sell me on all these products with videos on an iPad. He keeps asking how long it’s been since my last cleaning and I kept asking him if he was gonna get to the cleaning but he wouldn’t answer. He was so mumbly and shifty and said they never do cleanings without going through insurance and payment plans. Finally he sends me up to the front desk where the person informs me a cleaning will be over $900 copay (I have Aetna insurance). what the f***!! She says they don’t do regular cleanings if your teeth need severe treatment (mine don’t) and only do intense deep cleans, which would cost the $900. When I told her that every other dentist I've ever had does a routine cleaning with the annual check she said that wasn't normal and they didn't. Gaslit me so hard I had to go check with my roommate that dental cleanings were a normal thing. They felt so unprepared, unpersonnable, and scammy the entire time. AVOID!!!!!
Inconsiderate Dentist. Will never return
I went to the Loma Linda office. I ended up waiting for the dentist. I was told she was with another patient. She quickly looked at my teeth, told me I had no cavities then handed a paper to the receptionist. She then walked away saying nothing. The receptionist quotes me $6000 in necessary services. She starts telling me if my tooth gets infected. And is reminding me of the auto place that lost their license to operate. She is giving horror stories if I don't get the work done. If I had an issue why didn't the dentist talk to me about. I will never return there. I think if there was a issue the dentist should have explained the situation instead of walking away. I waited for my turn and I get less than 2 minutes of care.
25 minutes later an argument broke out...
25 minutes after I've been sitting in that dental seat, no word from anyone, the dentist starts arguing with the receptionist about having patients. She wasn't concerned about us waiting. She was complaining because she hoped to go to lunch in 30 minutes. She stood there arguing for over five minutes then took a patient and continued complaining in his face.
All this after I had to go through a whole ordeal to get this appointment. They refused to believe that I was able to overturn my insurance company's decision regarding my treatment. It took two weeks to get them to agree to give me an appointment.
I have a job and would like a lunch break too bch! But I'm here subjected to listening to your complaints.
I think they train dentists to disregard their patients valuable time. This seems to be typical behavior. I could go anywhere and be treated like this. I don't have to leave money here.
Spam texters
Western Dental, who I’ve never heard of, just sent me a spam text reminding me that I’m due for my next dental exam and telling me to call an 800 number. Disreputable scammers; avoid.
Never again… avoid at all cost
Never again.. they took forever to clean the X-Ray room. Our appointment was at 9am and there was no movement until 11:15am. Finally I had to leave.. the cleaning staff was doing something else. They didn’t even want to give me a timeline when they will be ready to take me in
no communication and the staff is rude
UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNCARING
Dear Customer Service Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I have received at Brident Dental Services, as evidenced by my recent experiences. This complaint pertains to several significant issues that have severely impacted my perception of your establishment.
Firstly, I would like to highlight the consistent turnover of orthodontists within your practice. Over the course of two years, I have encountered four different orthodontists during my visits. This frequent turnover not only raises concerns about the stability and continuity of care but also reflects poorly on the organizational structure and management of Brident Dental Services.
Furthermore, I must address the issue of poor customer service that I have encountered on multiple occasions. There have been instances where appointments were rescheduled without prior notification, leading to inconveniences and disruptions to my schedule. Additionally, the lack of clear communication regarding treatment plans and procedures has left me feeling uninformed and unsure about the care I am receiving.
The experiences described above have left me with serious reservations about continuing my dental care at Brident Dental Services. As a consumer, I expect reliable and consistent service, especially when it comes to matters as important as dental health. The issues I have outlined not only undermine my confidence in your ability to provide adequate care but also reflect poorly on the reputation of Brident Dental Services as a whole.
In light of these concerns, I kindly request a thorough investigation into the issues raised and prompt action to address the systemic problems within your organization. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and work towards improving the quality of service provided to your customers.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of these issues. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
Not Recommended!!
I will not recommend this place! Been waiting for so looooooong, our schedule was 9:30 and still not been helped it’s past 11am already! Workers just don’t care. They need to hire more workers don’t just tell your customers that you are short staffed, you have to do something about it! They even told us if we want to re-schedule? What? after waiting for so long they told us to reschedule? What a shame!

No respetan el tiempo de la gente y dan una cita a una hora y te atienden 3 horas más tarde en total. Estuve casi 5 horas dentro de la oficina, cuando antes en una hora me fui menos, muy baja la calidad del servicio 👎 They don't respect people's time, give an appointment at an hour and they attend you 3 hours later, in total I spent almost 5 hours inside the office, when before in an hour or less left, , the quality of the service is very low 👎
Customers Beware
My review would be less than 1 star if possible. I had an appointment scheduled for 6/3/24 that I set 6 months ago. I received a text to confirm 2 days ago and I confirmed my appointment, then I got to the office and there was a sign saying they were going to be closed on 6/1 & 6/3. I never received a call or text about that and when you contact Customer Service they told me that the office was open. Obviously the people who are in charge are not and they don’t think that my time is important. I think that the office manager at the office at 1229 N.Main St. in Salinas should be fired
They deserve NO STARS!
They deserve NO STARS!
Our son is mentally challenged but high-functioning. We made an appointment, and when the day came, my wife called the office. She was told the appointment was made in the wrong office, so it was cancelled. We went there yesterday. The minute we walked in, I got attitude from the moron at the desk. He handed me a clipboard with the typical, “give your life’s story” form. I told him I’d already filled it out and sent it in. He said their system didn’t pick it up, so I had to fill it out by hand. He said my son wouldn’t be seen until it was filled out, and then complained about how I filled it out.
The wait before they called my son was reasonable, but the wait after he went in wasn’t. When he came out, the same moron receptionist said my son needed a deep cleaning for $1,800, and that it was “unethical” for him to be given a regular cleaning, which would’ve been covered by his insurance. This place is a fraud.
I have always had to wait more than an…
I have always had to wait more than an hour for general or ortho appointments. There have been times when I’ll show up to an appointment and they’ll cancel it on the spot because they don’t have any “techs” available but they’ll charge you a fee if you don’t show up to your appointment. They charged me $300 for a retainer replacement and they were very pushy when i initially got braces. I now owe care credit 6,000 because I didn’t get to pay off the promotional balance for my braces.Avoid Western Dental at all costs. They are scammers and have students for techs. I hope they get sued.

The wife and I had an appointment a couple of months ago and we waited so long to see a dentist and I finally walked out, because I don't have patience for ignorance. I have also spoke to many friends who said the same thing, so if you have nothing better to do then go their and wait and have fun with that.
Avoid all locations
Avoid all locations. They will make you wait 3 hours for a general appointment and try to make you sign a contract for their “free consultations”. Then they’ll even laugh at you for waiting for a long time after telling you that you were NEXT!!!! They don’t appreciate poc or any of their patients. They are scammers and I hope one day their will be a class action lawsuit against them so they can pay every single person they fvcked over
No stars if I could
No stars if I could - Concord office - 1821 Concord Ave, California. I have been waiting for over 9 months for general cleaning, the front desk female who lied said her name was Ella scheduled me for 5months when I go in, she said you have to pay for your visit. I have full dental insurance, so I schedule for a month later. I go in a month later and she says I cannot be seen my insurance is not valid. I did not have my insurance card on a Saturday so I left. I called the 1-800 number and scheduled for orthodontist and general cleaning on 5/11/24. When I call to give insurance information, she says I have no appt on the Saturday stated I do have orthodontist and schedules me for another Saturday. She lied about her name there is no Ella confirmed by Orthodontics secretary and lied about my scheduled 9:00am on 05/11/24. I asked to be transferred to orthodontist and she says they are not opened today 05/09/24, she lied about that also! Orthodontics called me 10mins later. I do not know this person at all, and can’t comprehend such maliciousness from an employee.
Cash grab at wisdom teeth extraction
I am utterly dismayed by our repeated negative experiences at Western Dental in Menifee on Newport. We initially scheduled an appointment for our child’s wisdom teeth extraction, only to be informed on the day of the surgery that he is “too young” and would require additional treatments (graph and PRF) costing an exorbitant $1200. This not only added financial stress but also seemed unnecessary and was not communicated beforehand. Moreover, this is the second instance where they have imposed such conditions on our family, insisting on performing the extractions two teeth at a time unless we agree to these costly additional treatments. It feels manipulative and exploitative. I strongly advise against using their services unless you’re prepared for last-minute changes and added financial burdens. Their approach lacks transparency and seems driven by upselling rather than patient care.
Liars And Scammers, Plus A Dirty Office
These people are nothing but liars and scammers. I went in to have two teeth extracted after waiting for two and a half hours after my appointment time while also noticing damaged walls and gunk on some of the equipment. She barely looked at my teeth before saying they were too bad for them to work on (My teeth are in bad shape due to botched dental work from a different dentist) unless I got all of them pulled out which would have come out of my pocket. They said they were gonna refer me to an orthodontic surgeon and send some pain medication to the pharmacy. We get their little referral and see the real reason they won't do anything is because nobody there was willing to take my insurance and mind you they've already collected a copay from me. We made it to the pharmacy an hour later only to find out they hadn't even called or faxed anything in yet, something which the pharmacists confirmed was a pattern of behaviour from them. The only person there who seemed to actually care was the woman taking my X-rays who seemed to genuinely care and want to help me.
AVOID at all costs
AVOID at all costs. I went in today for an exam and cleaning - and after a 90 second exam was told I needed a $1600 deep clean & gingivitis treatment. I asked about more affordable treatment plans for gingivitis and they basically said there was no other option (feels very suss). So I asked to just do the regular cleaning today that's covered by insurance and they refused (saying they wouldn't do any less than a $500 treatment). There was literally a sales board up in the office they had me wait in - that indicated sales for the month across various treatments (including the one they wanted to give me). This was a huge red flag. Clearly they try to upsell people in the moment with costly procedures & track it like it's a game. I have an HMO plan that essentially doesn't allow me to go to an another dentist - and I feel like they use this to their advantage by refusing the basic cleaning services unless they pay for the expensive one. Thankfully, I'm also headed to Thailand tomorrow - which I just learned is a top dental tourism destination so joke is on them...I just cancelled my insurance plan and getting a $20 dental cleaning from a 4.9 rated dentist with hundreds of reviews from foreigners (sure beats their 3.6 google rating). Also, I went home and immediately found full Reddit & Consumer Affairs threads about this exact sort of thing happening to other people (I tried to include links but the site wouldn't let me....but just google Western Dental scam).
(Also pretty sure I've never left this sort of review before, so for what that's worth...hopefully this review & resources above can help someone else avoid the scam in the future)
Don’t get financed by this company
Don’t get financed by this company, they will hound you even if you didn’t get the work done! I signed for gum trays to clean and whiten my teeth. It was to cost about $1200. The wanted $274 down but I only had $100 which they gladly accepted. The next day they hounded me with collection calls even though I did not do the treatment! I have tried to call managers but they won’t come see me. They hounded my dying boyfriend and he had paid his bill!!! They are relentless be careful.
