Their meat counter features lots of signs boasting “organic” and “grass fed.” What it doesn’t say is “prime.” So you’re paying prime meat prices for USDA choice. GTFO.

Fruit Tart- Disappointed by Higher Price and Lower Quality
My husband and I have been buying the fruit tart from Whole Foods for many years. When we first started purchasing it, it was only $14.99 and was loaded with a variety of fresh fruit. Over time, the price has increased significantly to $26.99, but unfortunately the quality has not kept up. The amount and variety of fruit on the tart have noticeably decreased, making it feel like it is no longer worth the higher cost. We have always enjoyed this product, but we are disappointed by the reduced value compared to what it used to offer.
The store is clean and well-lit
The store is clean and well-lit, which I appreciate. But the layout can be a bit confusing I always end up walking past the same section twice before finding what I need. Checkout is usually fine, though it gets slow during peak hours. Parking is hit or miss depending on the location. Not bad overall, just room for improvement.
Inaccurate descriptions on prepared food
I don't think it's asking too much to label prepared food if it is spicy. I got shrimp salad from the dinner section. It didn't say anything about spice nor did the server say anything. It tasted terrible, like some sort of Indian spice. I tried to wash it off but it made me sick. I won't do that again.
I've been ordering online for about a…
I've been ordering online for about a year and lately they have been ripping me off. Or they just want to get rid of me. There prices are too high, they don't usually have what I want, and I don't like all of their food. They say that they delivered and they didn't, so I reported it to customer service and Amazon gave me another order, well guess what, they didn't deliver that one as well but said they did. I guess if they wanted to get rid of me they succeeded. I don't know how they can get away with this, but they did. I like the ease of ordering online so I will find another store.
I keep buying knockoff Persian cucumbers…
I keep buying these Persian cucumbers which even if I check before if they r soft and inedible, they immediately become rotten in my refrigerator in just 1 day.
Too bad that NAFTAs Mexican farmers cannot find other naive buyers like us... Why doesn't Whole foods or Amazon apply for government subsidies to buy from American farmers who struggle now???
I don’t know who WF is using for Almond…
I don’t know who WF is using for Almond Croissants this year. The new recipe is dreadful - like lead. Right next to them were turnovers which were flakey as the croissant should be!!!!! Dreadful texture.
Never again
Never again. It was my first time ordering and the mangoes came spoiled and the bread was expired and they covered it with a sticker that had a new date. The price was ridiculous and it was not even worth it. I recommend you don’t buy from this company.
I've been using Whole Foods (Amazon)…
I've been using Whole Foods (Amazon) for about a few months now...I have some health issues where I was in hospital for 3 months and need some help around the house..Whole Foods is a big help where I have someone to cook..Their prepared foods are awesome and I just pop in microwave or in oven.Delivery is mostly the same..They put right at front door and I am good to go..Don't understand the bad reviews...Thank You
I haven’t been to a Whole Foods in…
I haven’t been to a Whole Foods in months. Use to be my favorite store and was a customer for decades. They were once a leader with the best products, service and advice. Never going back after my visit today. What a dump. Dirty. Lousy selection of products. Nothing like it was in its prime. Thanks Bezos for ruining something that once was great. You can kiss me goodbye on Amazon too.
Poor Customer Service
I bought an item ridiculously overpriced, of course. It spoiled within a couple weeks, months before the "use by" date. I returned the item with my receipt. The clerk told me that it was three days past the time (30 days) that I could return it. I explained that I live out of town, so I don't get to the store often. It is interesting that Whole Foods is associated with Amazon. Amazon has a great return policy, while Whole Foods has a terrible one. The fact that I had the item to show it was spoiled, I could show the expiration date on the item, and I had the receipt, just three days past their so-called return policy is extremely unfriendly customer service, and I will not be returning to the store. We have many other options, like Sprouts, Natural Grocers, and others that I will be making use of instead. I can see from the reviews that there are many others that feel the same way I do!
Best Tartar Sauce!
I just want to say that the "365" products are very good. Especially the tartar sauce! My favorite. Not sweet, not too "pickley"
Just right. IMO. Try it!
Whole Foods is Overpriced and Service…
Whole Foods is Overpriced and Service is below average. The Prime "discount" never works and is a huge hassle not worth having. We've cancelled Amazon prime and im never going back Whole Foods overprice, overrated market,
Caveat emptor! WFM gutted.
Knew it would happen and watched as their core values were tossed out. Most products moved to big agri-businesses (career was in food purchasing, so know exactly why - big bucks available for placement and private label). First warning: Cheerios in prime, eye-level shelf space. Watched conventional produce far outstrip organic AND they use Apeel. Reusable bag credit that original WFM pioneered, is gone (at least their bags aren't plastic but I still bring my own). No more in-store educational/informative info ("spices not irradiated"). Size of "freshly-baked" bread loaves have shrunk and price increased; more bakery products are made with regular white flour, white sugar and other yucky stuff rather than with healthier whole-grain (the "Whole" in Whole Foods used to mean something). Unique products gone, replaced by standard stuff or private labels that take hours to research. 30 years ago it was SAFE for my toddler to sample everything (always increased my bill) with a employee nearby to answer questions - gone. If samples can even be found, there's no info or pricing and no one is watching it, so safety is a real concern. Staff levels have steadily decreased and long-time 'original' employees left, taking knowledge with them. Most questions are met with blank looks or half-baked answers. Can still find a few good products there but must check everything closely. Takes hours to check out new product. Weekly specials at one store aren't the same at another that's less than 4 miles away. Stores redesigned, so buying a glass of wine and putting into that special place on cart to hold it is over. Yes, can get a glass at the coffee bar, but experience is very different. Trusted name brand product (i.e. Organic Valley) is priced a LOT higher than anything else available, including non-organic butter made in Ireland! WMF private label butter is awful. Intentionally overpricing good product to incentivize purchase of private label and brands that are more profitable.
Bezos isn't stupid; he knew that old folks like me would be replaced by younger shoppers who would trust but not verify, and that's happened. "Local" product is available but not nearly as much as pre-Amazon. Founders would never have allowed marginal quality, questionable or potentially dangerous products to be sold; now they are everywhere. The WFM I loved and trusted is GONE.
Spend £100’s a month and get badly treated
We as a family shape every week at Whole Foods Kings Road……Today was the very last time. We spend a great deal of money each month. However, today, for the first time I asked for a for plastic cup for their “free” water dispenser and was asked to pay for the cup. I refused and explained that we are a weekly loyal customer. The staff still insisted on a payment for the cup. I unsurprisingly declined and they seemed uninterested that we would not return. This is a disgrace and an ignorant lack of loyal customer service
Your "team" members" are biased and…
Your "team" members" are biased and horrible to older people. In particular is a very tall woman who works the cash register and when I have put my basket down for a minute to grab an item she has called the floor staff to take my basket and put my goods back. I am 72 years old and in extreme pain. The same woman has done this to me twice before. Today, no traffic in the store, I politely asked her to please not have my basket moved as my back had just slipped and I had to put it down. I wanted to grab an item three feet away and she rudely demanded I move the basket far away from where it was behind her cash register. I told her I was in pain and then another woman employee came along and I told her my story and she asked me to move the basket. I said I was in pain. Not once did anyone ever ever offer to help me move the basket. Instead thet two woman (one young and one older) laughed at me with the younger woman loudly saying to the cashier "Oh ya I got it Oh ya I got it and they were looking at me and laughing.
It was the most despicable and heartless and rude behavior and felt so hurtful and such bad business practice. Not one person could see that I was struggling with the basket and help. Instead they told me to move the basket on my own and then laughed when I walked to the self check out and paid and got out.
I spoke Cheers. Your buddies who work together win. You made an old lady who has been coming to that store since it opened and has lived in Glover Park for 40 years feel like a piece of nothing. That is emotional distress and is not advisable to employ those tactics to loyal older customers. Orr loyal anyone or not. Disgusting
I made an online order last night…
I made an online order last night delivery. Amazon has an arrangement with a store called "Weis Market." They tend to have-some items that Whole Foods doesn't carry. Filling My Cart was a bit confusing. The website bounces over Whole Foods to Weis. There were a number of items that were available from both stores. Delivery was free, one from each store. There was a problem on my end. The door to the lobby was blocked with yellow tape, and the buzzer system may have been unavailable. In any event, Weis followed my delivery instructions, calling from his own phone. The order was large, and it was heavy. Very heavy. He brought it to the elevator. When I got to my floor, i lifted the packages the best I could. It was painful, so I retrieved my actual cart.
When I got upstairs I found on the website that Whole Foods delivered. They put a photo of the delivered bags. It was good for the food (especially the ice cream) that the temperature was low and cold. Everything was fine apart from my having to lift heavy bags. I do not find Whole Foods to be the most expensive store in my area. The delivery was free. I will try to have the packages brought up as I had requested when I ordered since I have some physical limitations. I'm hoping they will comply. I have encountered some of the issues that others have complained of, however I believe they have lowered their prices, and i have had online deliveries where items were squashed and even moldy when the items came by post. In those cases I was compensated, though annoyed. For the reasons I have described, i did not give 5 stars
Food is low quality
Food is low quality, filled with seed oils and sugar. The only beef they offer is ground beef, every dish is boring and flavorless. Yikes!! I used to eat there almost everyday but it became one of the worst.
Lousy service and quality
I bought a six pack of Whole Foods branded 365 canned tuna. The label got all greasy and when I went to return it, the said it was outside of their 30 day return policy.
The expiration date was well beyond the 30 days. And, who uses six cans of tuna within 30 days!?!
Ever since Amazon bought WF the quality and customer service has gone down hill. I won’t be back there again.
