Do not buy from this company

Would advise to completely avoid this company. We bought the tinywave set. The website was easy to navigate and the delivery arrived on time. However items were missing from our delivery and no instructions were included. Pieces are not predrilled no bolts or screws were included. Have spent the last 2 weeks trying to contact customer care via email and phone with no response. I have spent over 3 hours on hold on the customer care line. Very disappointed considering the money we spent and we will be returning this item.

Your comment regarding the pre-drilling is correct, but has a customer-friendly background: since wood still works a little, it may change its volume due to drying or moisture absorption, even if only minimally. Therefore, it is advantageous to drill some wooden elements to ensure accurate fitting and stability.

Awful -avoid at all costs

I bought the multi flyer deluxe and boy was I in for a shock. I am not a carpenter but have done loads of DIY like hanging new doors/skirting board etc. There are no pre drilled holes, all you have are some basic instructions and everything has to be measured. You must be carpentry trained or you would really struggle with this. Some of the wood was in a poor state as well and cracked. The biggest kick in the teeth is when you see the blue and white stickers in the advert like an aeroplane etc - all they give you is a blue and white sheet and expect you to draw it and cut it out yourself! So you need to be a carpenter and artist! Awful best to avoid!!!

No sign of order / no response to emails

Over a month after ordering (lead time when I ordered was stated as 10-15 days) the climbing frame has still not arrived. Payment was taken when I placed the order.
I received a dispatch notification a week ago - but no details of the shipment carrier / reference. No reply from Wickey to emails.
I appreciate that it’s challenging times for all businesses but the customer service has been appalling.

Best hope you have exceptional DIY skills!

Constructing the frame went well beyond any flat pack furniture we have ever put together. No pre-drilled holes and rough pieces of wood. I do not think it was worth the money. It took an a really long time and I am not 100% confident in our construction as it was difficult to do. I can't see why the company wouldn't pre-drill the holes or cut the frame's roof fabric to size unless to save time for themselves.

Unfortunately we haven't been able to completely finish the frame as wood for the steps was missing and we are waiting for delivery of this.

Bought the Wickey climbing frame and…

Bought the Wickey climbing frame and slide. Pile of rubbish. Not easy to assemble.

We received incorrect sizes of wood. None of the wooden planks were predrilled. The roof was a large plastic sheet which you are supposed to measure and cut yourself. The ends of the wooden planks all had to be sanded down as the finish was not safe for children to touch. Basically you just get pretreated planks of wood, a plastic sheet & some instructions. I could have gone to the local sawmill and paid £20 for it, not £500.

Missing payments

I recently purchased a slide from Wickey. After 8 days I was informed that the item hadn’t been dispatched as they hadn’t received payment. The had payment left my bank via PayPal the day after ordering online. Customer service has been terrible, I was asked to show evidence of the bank payment which I sent through. That was a week ago and Wickey will now not return my emails!
Do not use this company!

Terrible customer service and service

Terrible customer service. When I ordered the website said delivery was within 10-15 working days. It’s been 3 weeks and not even been shipped. When I called to ask where the item was they wouldn’t give any information apart from there are delays would let me speak to a supervisor and gave me no indication on how long the item would be. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service and responsiveness. Wickey offered Easter discounts, but cannot cope with the increase in demand. They do not answer emails, do not answer the phone and do not get back to you.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Avoid Avoid Avoid. We ordered a sand pit via FatMoose around 4 weeks ago. Wickey and Fat moose are the same company as billing etc has all come from Wickey. We received a production notification after a few weeks (slightly longer than the longest delivery) saying that it was now being made and would be dispatched in a few days. We then received a dispatch notification a few days later but it contained no tracking information despite saying use the tracking information. We waited a few days and nothing arrived so emailed Fat moose. A holding email came back saying they would reply within 3 days. That was over a week ago. Eight pieces of wood with no fixings, instructions or lining arrived a couple of days later; perhaps this is the lid of the ordered sandpit?, but we have no idea. We have sent another email, again with zero reply and I am currently 43mins on hold. Extremely unimpressed with customer service, cannot comment on the product as only have a few pieces of what appears to be low quality wood so far. £180 spent over a month ago. Cannot get any information from anywhere about what is going on.

UPDATE; on hold for over an hour, finally promised some tracking details. Did receive an email later that day with tracking information. Two further parcels have now arrived (again a few days apart). Due to the inclement weather we haven't had an opportunity to lay it out and look at it yet but according to shipping info we have now received all parts.

Awful customer service

Hi there,

I've ordered a coconut club xxl from this company or fatmoose who they seem to own on the 26th of March,customer service is non existent,they keep sending mails to say it's not paid for to which I reply with the proof of payment and receipt,wont answer emails to when delivery or what is happening,dont mind the delay with these times but please let your customers know or refund them their money.So as its stands,I've spent over 1000 euros and no clarification from this company.

Ordered a climbing frame for my daughters birthday.

Ordered a climbing frame for my daughters birthday, entered a digit wrong on the form. After ringing to amend this we were told we would get a call from the courier to arrange delivery. We called once a day to chase up as we had not heard anything from the courier. After over a week we finally find out that the package is been returned to Germany, over 3 weeks after we ordered it, despite being told daily that they would speak to the courier to sort the delivery.

Absolutely diabolical customer service, lying on the call saying they never said they could arrange delivery, when we have emails confirming this.

Unfair price policy taking advantage of Corona???

Prices for the same product (Country Cow Maxi XXL) between Netherlands and Belgium differ a lot. 160€ for the same tower.
On top Fatmoose and Wickey are one company. During Corona times prices for this very same tower went up with 20% between 14 and 20 March 2020 on the Wickey site ! I mailed for information and never got an answer...

Disappointed

Shocked that Wickey claim to provide a product that is easy to assemble when it is not. We bought the Dragonflyer climbing frame.

We received some incorrect sizes of wood. None of the wooden planks were predrilled. The beautiful yellow designs on the website come as one large plastic sheet where you are supposed to measure and cut yourself. The ends of the wooden planks all had to be sanded down as the finish was not safe for little hands to touch. Basically you just get pretreated planks of wood, a plastic sheet and 18 pages of instructions. Not sure what we paid for!

I also complained via Wickeys customer service email about my disappointment in their product and they have never even bothered replying.

Challenging Instructions but Great Finished Product

We bought a Smart Victory for our daughter's birthday. The process of ordering and receiving the product was very simple, we had a helpful call before hand to check about different configurations and they were very helpful in advising how the climbing frame could be configured.

Delivery was within the specified time frame and we had a call the day before asking if it could be delivered a day early which we were able to accommodate. You need to ensure that there is someone there to receive delivery and able to help carry the frame from the truck to where you want it to go but better than many delivery companies who simply drop on kerbside and leave to you to move

Construction was ok, you do need to be fairly competent in your DIY skills but by no means a tradesperson, think of it like an advanced IKEA flatpack. It took 2 of us about 10hrs to construct over three evenings mainly due to the quality of the instructions and being quite methodical about the whole thing (we drilled pilot holes in every plank which probably wasn't needed). Instructions are ok but do need some careful scrutiny, pay particular attention to where measurements are being taken and the orientation - it's easy to get something wrong and not realise until later on by which time you'll have to deconstruct a whole section to rectify. My advice is to double check every measurement with the instructions and have someone else helping you to also check. All the pieces required were in the package although we had some incorrect boards which were fortunately just too long so we were able to saw the end off.

Couple of minor issues:
- Instructions could be a lot clearer and use consistent measurements
- Some incorrect sized boards in our delivery
- The tarp used for decoration is just a roll which you need to cut as is the white sticker to decorate leaving you to design cut and apply, would be better if these came ready made

Overall though the product is great, our kids love it and it's a very sturdy construction. I think it's great quality for the price (you're not just paying for the wood but all the design, engineering, and many, many bits of metalwork) just take your time during construction

Charge £500 to customers
Don't buy there product it's a rip off.
Panels wrong size had to go and purchase from local building supplies anyway.
Extremely disappointed what biggest rip off ever!!!

Very poor customer service, sub standard product for price

Product description doesn't mention needing a liner so you'd assume there's some sort of sheet included. When we pointed it out, got patronising email back with incorrect information, basically saying "tough luck", buy it yourself from somewhere else.
Also, product is far poorer quality than expected. No preexisting screw holes which makes assembly very fiddly and requiring a power screwdriver.

Wickey Seaside playhouse

So, I was very nervous buying this with all the negative reviews. So here is my real story, no inspiration from the company.

The order process was easy, the gym set arrived in 2 weeks, all in good shape.

I unpacked the timber and put it all in separate piles according the stock list to make things easy.

My view is that this product can be put together with very little DIY skills, I am fairly proficient and did 90% if this myself, however if you have limited skills have a second person, there is a lot of drilling and screwing, so make sure you have a good electric screwdriver/drill, it will save you a mountain of time. Take your time with the instructions and i assure you you will have a very decent kids play centre at a very very good price.

I have no regrets

Disgusting customer service

Our frame arrived late and when it did It was basically wrapped and thrown on a pallet. The slide was smashed. On contacting Wickey via email and using social media messenging we have been COMPLETELY ignored and are now down another €100 for a replacement slide from elsewhere. Disgusting customer service!!! Avoid!!!!!!

poor Quality bed

I purchased the Crazy Jelly bed from Wickey for my little nephew. It was supposed to be a special surprise for him, as it was the first time he’d stayed away from home since his mum had passed away.
I was so disappointed when the bed was delivered. Firstly a piece of wood was missing. One piece hadn’t been cut properly. The sheet which is used to decorate the bed was just supplied as a large sheet of plastic which required cutting to the shapes on the picture - they didn’t even give templates. Some of the wood had holes quickly, and shoddily, drilled - but others hadn’t. And these were the thicker pieces of wood - or the joints which required being assembled at a specific angle.
I could have dealt with all of this, however a lot of the wood had actually bowed and was split. If my nephew had run his hands over the wood he would have been completely full of splinters.
I was so sad, as I had read so many good reviews, and the pictures looked amazing. I expected more - but the quality was just appalling.
I complained and they did collect the bed and refunded me quickly and efficiently.
