Customer and Host support must be improved!

Hi i am an host and have been waiting more than 10 days to go online with my advert as the Wimdu Maps to enter addresses abroad is very rarely find your address and you have to go through the customer service.
Yesterday I wrote to them a private message on Facebook.
Last year they were answering much quicker. I supposed they have experienced some problems in February!
Hope they will solve the problems soon and this comment will encourage the Wimdu Customer Support to improve their services for Host and Guests!
Indeed, today they have activated the online chat, at least!

Worst Customer Service

This company has the worst customer service. They rarely respond to emails and when they do they never answer the question clearly. We have been trying to resolve something and they are not responding. I don't recommend this site.

Worst experience ever

I have dealt with wimdu as a host & i had the worst experience ever as one of the guest decided to leave after 2 nights of the booking and he took the keys with him and he send them random pictures not from my apartment claiming the bathroom is dirty and wimdu customer support decided to refund him and they didnt send me any money and till the moment i dont have the keys.

I contacted the customer support twice they are extremely rude and not helping and make you feel you are ruining their day by your stupid problem. and till now i dont have the keys and i am thinking about making a police report.

one of the customer support agents decided to hang up on me & the other agent decided to make fun of me which is something will never happen with Airbnb.

Wimdu doesnt care at all about host right, they are guests oriented company and if i were guest i will just send random pictures of dirty bathroom and stay for free anywhere in the world.

Wimdu Europe 2016

Generally the apartments were excellent, though nearly all had been smartened up for the advertising photos. Directions from railway and bus stations could be better in almost every case. They seem to presume everyone comes by air or road.

All should provide tea coffee and milk, and soap.

the worst possible frustrating customer service

I booked a place in Paris for a week. the host accepted my request
Wimdu charged my card immediately
the host cancelled
Wimdu debited me in US dollar though my card was in € and the host wanted to be paid in €
I had to email them 20 times over two weeks to get refunded . They did refund me but because of the exchange rate i lost €20.00
I said it was unacceptable that by trying to use their service i am charged and it was the hosts issue , and Wimdu
they would not credit me €20.
they would not give me a phone number to call
and when i mulitple time requested for my complaint to be forwarded to a head of customer service they would not do so
they treat their customers terribly
i will never use them again !!

Excellent

My experience with Wimdu was excellent: the website is nice (intuitive user interface), a good search future, the payment was secure (SSL).
BRAVO!

Wimdu is not helping guests!

Bad service Wimdu
From 7 to 11 December we had an apartment from Sue and Claude in Paris.
A 3 bedroom apartment on Rue de Veron. When we arrived it turned out that this apartment was nog available because of water damage. The host tells us by telephone that we had to go to another apartment on Rue de Gabrielle 1. This apartment was cheaper and it only had 2 bedrooms. There was not enough space for the 6 of us.
We said to the host/Claude that this wasn’t what we’ve booked. This man Claude was not reasonable and quite aggressive. If we do not agree with this apartment we could sleep on the streets.
Because there was no talking with this Claude and we had no choice we’ve stayed in this apartment.
As a result, had to 2 adults sleep on a sofa bed in the living room as old and bad was that you was lying on the ground. After returning home the two adults could go to the doctor because of back problems.
Within 24 hours we have contacted Wimdu and several times afterwards. The solution according to them a air bed ... well that was leak. So that wasn’t a good solution.
Because we want to enjoy the rest of our holiday. We email Wimdu and said that when we are home we contact them again to talk about a compensation.

When we are back home, we immediately contacted with Wimdu and their reply was you have accepted this apartment so we can’t do nothing. We had accepted the apartment because we had no choice. Do you want us to sleep on the streets?
Also, they already paid out the host/Claude. That is strange because this apartment was a lot cheaper than the other one.
This is not how you treat your guests. Because Wimdu and Claude treated us very bad and do not come with an proper solution. They also don’t want to give us the overpayment back so that’s why we put this on the internet and Social Media. With this post we want to warn future guests. Book no apartment from Sue and Claude in Paris. Also don’t expect too much from Wimdu when you’re having problems.

Wimdu is a Pirate Posing as a Vacation Home Rental Site

I have been renting vacation homes in Bali for over 12 years, and use Air BNB, Homeaway and VRBO primarily as my rental sites. I have an occasional issue with these sites, but after a quick phone call, it's usually resolved.
I recently signed up with Wimdu and just had my first guest stay at one of our homes. Wimdu did not issue the payout until 5 days after the guest had checked in and checked out....and the payment was almost $200 short! They do not have a phone number, but was somewhat attentive after I emailed them....and replied that I had requested an optimization service (which I did not) and that the difference had been deducted from my payment to cover the cost of that service.
I feel that they were dishonest, have poor customer service, and charge hosts for services that they do not request and don't want.
Please don't use this service. There are plenty of other sites which offer fair and just services to both hosts and guests.

Never paid. Guest stuck

I own a unit in NYC which wa rented by a guest from Wimdu last month Nov 2015. The guest stayed for three weeks. The guest was great a very nice person and businessman from Europe. The guest paid Wimdu $8900 for the stay of which Wimdus fee was a whopping $1800. I was to receive $7100. Wimdu pays after the guest checks in. I was away in Novembe and Wimdu paid my $7100 to the wrong account not mine. I have never been paid.

Trying to contact someone at Wimdu who can help with this has proven nearly impossible. All I can do is e-mail through their site.
They do have a customer service number (which they keep private) but when I called they only handle simple traveling issues.

We have written numerous letters and e-mails to no avail. Wimdu is aware they paid it to the wrong account but has not made any effort to contact me back regarding this.

The guest who stayed at the unit is also very disturbed as They have not called him back regarding this.

This company apparently is large but poorly run with no communication or help to either the guest or owner when needed. In addition their fees are double industry standards.

If I was not away at the time the guest was here I would have had to escort him out of the unit and he would have been stuck thousands of miles from home. Wimdu does not care. They were paid there fee nine months before the guest checked in.

I will have to sue them to get paid. This is a bad situation but they do not care. I suggest stay away from this company and use only Home Away or Flip Key.

Great Apartment - No problems

Never heard of Wimdu until I searched for an apartment in Palma de Mallorca and it came up with a good selection. We chose one and everything went smoothly. The apartment was fine - exactly as described. What more can I say?

Wimdu left us hanging - had to get hotel for 2 days until we got another place!

Don't expect Wimdu to cover your costs if your booking falls through! When we discovered that our reserved apartment in Paris wasn't available (the host didn't have a clue that people were living there...) I immediately tried to call Wimdu - they were impossible to get in contact with that day. I left a message on their phone and posted a complaint on Wimdus website. We didn't get an alternative lodging until 2 days later. We ended up paying for 2 nights in a 2 star hotel (which was more per night than the apartment we reserved) and the host has not answered my request to reimburse us the hotel fee (140 Euros). Wimdu I feel left us without assistance for too long before they came through with an alternative. They feel no responsibility towards covering our extra cost and inconvenience.

Awful customer services

A few weeks after listing my Florida Villa on their website I got an email from Wimdu (??) that looked like a scam (Asking for my passport details, recent utility bills etc.) So to avoid this information falling into the wrong hands I asked them to confirm 2 things on my account that only genuine Wimdu employees could know - This was to reassure me I wasn't sending sensitive personal information to an identity thief. Instead of actually answering these questions they simply threatened to remove my listing!!! Very bad customer service.

Wimdu

I highly recommended this company to anyone, it is easy to navigate and use. I made lots of bookings before my husband and I travelled to the USA for a month and I cannot fault this company.

Host great, Issues with Wimdu administrative side

My stay with my host was fantastic and I rated that a five star. My experience with Wimdu admin side was challenging in a couple of areas. First was when I made the reservation. I made the reservation for 5 nights. A friend was wanting to join me for part of my stay in Netherlands. Looking on the website at that particular lodging, it indicated the price for an additional person. I got in touch with both Wimdu and the host, and I was expecting that I would just keep my original reservation and simply add my friend for the days she would join me. I was told I would need to cancel then rebook my stay, and I was told by Wimdu to inform them of when I was ready to redo the reservation. In the process of waiting for confirmation from my friend before changing my reservation, Wimdu inadvertently canceled my reservation before I notified them to cancel it. They were speedy in their refund, so good for that. Because my friend was joining me for only 3 out of 5 days, I had to make 3 separate reservations as there was no way to simply add the person into the existing reservation. Luckily, no one else was booking for the same weekend at the same time that I was booking! It worked out fine and I was able to make the three reservations. My suggestion: for someone in the office to be able to override the system to add an additional person to the first reservation. The second issue I have had with Wimdu is that I have received three notices from them saying I have a review from my host for my stay. It is actually an email from the host giving directions to the house. The email notification to me from Wimdu can't seem to be turned off regardless of my having opened that email. I have emailed Wimdu asking about how to stop the email notification to me and the reply I have gotten has been a standard reply about them not being able to remove reviews. The only recourse I have found to remedy the situation is to close down my guest account with them.

Good apartment @ decent price rented through Wimdu

Wimdu charges your credit card as soon as the landlord agrees to rent to you. There were some problems with the first apartment I rented and I had to rent another. I was a bit worried about the first payment, but Wimdu returned it promptly and added a voucher towards my next rental as a compensation for my trouble. Very pleased!
The second apartment was better than I had hoped - great location, spacious rooms, all facilities. And for less than half the price of a hotel room. Highly recommended.
