The absolute worst experience I've had…

The absolute worst experience I've had with any contractor on any house I've ever owned. Damaged my property, left a ridiculous mess, sloppy work, and took 5 separate visits over a month and a half and job is still not done.

Terrible windows and service!!!

My windows are so tight that I almost can't open them. Plus they were to build out my windows on the outside because I was getting siding from another company. Well THEY measured and they are all done wrong! They were not built out far enough, so they set back in. The owner of the Window World in Duncansville, Pa. (They say Altoona, Pa.), came down to my house because I was not happy. He told me off. I didn't have everything paid to Window World because I wasn't happy. The owner told me he was going back to Window World and charge my credit card the rest of what was owed. I used my credit card for the down payment and had the cash to finish paying them off. So, the owner went back to Window World and charged my credit card. He fixed nothing. He told he he didn't care if I was happy or not. If you want crappy windows and terrible service, call Window World.

Awesome windows.

I love how my windows are difficult to slide. I adore how the expensive sliding door doesn't fit properly and enjoy how it takes 3 or 4 times getting it to lock. I is wonderful how they have the same noise buffering as my old single pane aluminum windows. I think its great how they broke my yard decorations and never said a word. It was awesome how when I called to tell them that some screens were missing and about my yard decorations. I didn't even get a "sorry." It's incredibly joyful that even after almost 4 years I have byers remorse. It would be amazing if they don't remove this, this time.

The pricing was good

The pricing was good, and they do have good sale folks. However, their overall service and customer service is very poor. First, they came with the wrong door for our back deck. When they went and got the correct one, the piece where the locks were supposed to be was wrong. They guy rigged it so one piece of the door would lock. Still not 100 secure. Then we found one of the windows wouldn't lock. Then my wife went to open one of the windows in our upstairs bathroom and the lock came off. One of their guys came to check it all out and said they would order everything, and someone would get back to us. Two months and we were scheduled to have the issues fixed on 4-2-25. However, we were told they had to cancel because the guy called in sick. I called and the earliest they could do was the 8th. We wouldn't be home, so the next available day was the 14th. Two and a half months with a back door not 100% secure and two broken windows for a current customer. If I had known their customer service was this bad, I would have paid more for a better company. Absolutely will not be recommending them to anybody.

*** Just a quick update. They have bent over backwards to correct the issues that happened. Even though there was another little hiccup, the service has improved. I would recommend them, but will inform them that they might have to be patient.

BEWARE OF WINDOW WORLD

BEWARE: Window World, delivered my 6 windows
and never completely installed them.
They forged my name on a credit loan
that I never agreed to. This was a cash

The foreman stated: I gave them a 5STAR.
ALL LIES
This fraudulent scheme has destroyed

Windows World the worse....

Windows World is not the company they proclaim to be. I had a storm door installed in my home. It was not installed correctly as the new door that was installed, the workers did not shim the door and my door still isn't right. I had one of their maintenance men come out to install a part that broke, and he even said the door was not installed correctly. He said he would let them know, I have tried to make contact and to this date nothing has been done to correct it and it's been a long time. This is not a company that I would want to install windows, storm door or anything. Should anyone like to see pictures or want more information, please feel to contact me at 931-302-1893....

DO NOT PAY UNTIL COMPLETION OF WORK

Two years ago I had them replace (7) windows in my home, (5) were good windows except, I had after market sunscreens on the (2) west facing windows which they took without permission. The (2) on the east side were inferior cheap quality ones that were also the wrong sizes. They busted up my stucco and left a (1) inch gap on the bottom, I went back and forth with the front office girl in Bakersfield and also emails with the owner's daughter in LA, finally "Ko" the owner came out and says "well we sometimes have to retrofit them." I wanted to put my foot up his ass but he brought these two goons with him as back-up. I was going to take him and his arrogant (Charlotte) daughter to court, but, I never wanted to see this owner from India again. I did the repairs myself and added heavy privacy window tint to keep the cold out.
Note: 03/09/25, Regional Window World of Los Angeles/Bakersfield and surrounding areas apparently is owned by "Ko & Daughter, Charlotte" they are from India, and I get the feeling they didn't have any experience in the window business before buying this business, and the installation teams they hired are sub-contractors just like their work. DO NOT HIRE THIS FATHER/DAUGHTER TEAM EVER!

I can understand poor reviews on window…

I can understand poor reviews on window installation, but my issue is with poor scheduling. We, initially, settled on a date/time......I then received an email, changing date/time (to which, I agreed),,...on the day of the appointment, I receive a text, again changing back to the original date/time. A waste of my time. Moved on to other suppliers/installers.

Waited WAY too long

This is quite long but you need the whole story.
We wanted to like Window World. But we didn’t.
The price was decent but that’s as far as it went. We ordered our windows August 9th and wrote a deposit check for half the amount, which they promptly cashed the next business day. We were told by our salesman that they were running about 6 to 8 weeks but it could be 8 to 12 weeks. Seems a bit long but, OK. Then, we waited. We never heard a word. No communication whatsoever. So, at 8 weeks we called and we were told it would, in fact, be more like 12 weeks. At 12 weeks no word still so we called and the story changed to, “No…. we told you 12 to 16 weeks” (we were NOT told 12 to 16 weeks). But then, they couldn’t even get them at 16 weeks it got pushed to 18! And not once during the 18 weeks did anyone from Window World reach out to us. We always had to contact them to try to find out what was going on. Keep in mind they had our deposit from day one.
If we thought we would be waiting 18 weeks for windows we would never have ordered them.
Meanwhile we have three different neighbors around us having windows replaced. We stopped and asked. “How long did you have to wait for your windows?”. Two had to wait 4 weeks and one had to wait 5 weeks yet we are waiting 18 weeks. We had to wait longer than the three of them COMBINED. That’s beyond ridiculous.
Now it’s mid/late-December (that’s right we started in early August), let’s get to the installation.
Once the windows finally came in, they agreed to come out the very next day. They sent two people to install 14 windows. It took them two days which isn’t bad (Dec 18th/19th), but when they finished some of the windows were extremely hard to open and 4 windows failed city inspection for not enough fasteners. They came back out and adjusted some of the windows and made the correction for the inspection failure on the morning of December 20th (they should have never left with the windows like that in the first place). They didn’t pay for the reinspection when they found out about the failure. Instead, they waited until Monday (which is now December 23rd) and the inspectors are already booked for the day. The city is shut down for Christmas eve and Christmas day so now we have to wait until the 26th. And, to add insult to injury, Window World tells me “Give us a call next year and we will come and finish up putting in the plugs and caps after your final inspection. We are closing today (Dec 23rd) and won’t reopen until after the 1st”.
Are you kidding me? After all this? We have been waiting since the first week of August now you’re telling me to wait till next year because your windows failed inspection and you decided to wait to pay the fee?
On Jan 2nd I drove to Window World a to pay the remaining balance (I’ve always felt obligated to pay my bills even if the service is less than stellar). Once again, they cashed my check the very next day at 9am (I get text alerts on my phone when large amounts are withdrawn). Seems strange that a big company like that would need to rush down to the bank for money.
Oh, and by the way, for all you veterans out there. They claim to be veteran friendly on their web page and have a huge veteran initiative. But don’t expect a military discount.
As for the actual windows, only time will tell. We got their series 4000 double hung insulated windows. They have the Energy Star certification marking on them rated for the southern states. But, until they have been through a few Florida winters and summers, we will reserve judgment. They do have a lifetime warranty (as most company’s do) but, if it took 18 weeks to get the windows, how long will it take to get a replacement when/if one breaks?

Window World Trickery

We called Window World (WW) to look at 5 windows that were getting condensation between the windowpanes. We were talked into replacing all the windows at a good price being that we are Veterans and would be taken good care of. WW Installed 25 windows at $14,600, using the wrong caulking. The caulking protruded into the siding and was non paintable. The oxidation run off from the caulking caused an increasable amount of staining discoloration to our Rhino Shields coating. Initially, WW insinuated that the other company was at fault for the stained siding and told us that we would have to pay to fix their mess ups. After going round and round with WW they finally came out to redo the windows. WW caused additional damages removing and replacing the windows damaging our window frames and siding. We submitted 29 photos identifying the damages. Window World refused to take ownership even with the other company’s notations of what caused the problem. Please be careful of WW’s covert trickery.

I bought the windows in July one of the window sashes was cracked. It took them the same amount of time to replace the sash. It is now 12/1 .The ordered took 8 weeks now I am waiting for the permit that they pulled due to the length of time it took them to replace the damage .I might get this by Christmas the way things are going. I am not happy all these issues where on their end so I am waiting on a company that does not care about their about customers just the all mighty dollar.

This is the second time we have used Window World; first in our other home and now in our new home, which is not new, an older home.

We were very pleased the first time we had chosen Window World and more so with this experience. The product is excellent quality. The crew that arrived were personable, and went right to work. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and respectful. Once the window replacements were completed, they worked diligently to do a complete job. Kudos to all.

I replaced 27 windows in my home with Window World. The last 2 windows installed were attic windows. The installer left because it started to rain and he told me I would have to finish up the caulking. I called Window World and sent pictures of what the windows looked like. They never got back to me. I called again and the woman said I would have to fix it. Sorry Window World, I will replace my remaining windows with another company that backs their work.

Will start with the good

Will start with the good, windows are 9 out of 10. Installers workmanship get a 2. No idea how to remove old windows, tore my siding up, big gap between J channel and siding, water leak, told me not responsible. No response for a call back. Unequal window trim, 1 " on one side 2" on other, did return to fix this, half a$$. Well they keep the caulk companies in business, siding nail holes left open. Sales does a good job of selling, after the sale no contact from sales. Was told get something for referral, they got a 10k job, 3 months ago which was completed, never got my gift card. Could go on and on, why bother.
