I’ve been asked to review but I sent my test off last month and waited 3 weeks and never got any results. I contacted you to find out what’s going on to be told our DNA test got lost in shipping but is expected to arrive within the next day? I waited and called but you told me the same thing. You’ve sent me a replacement which I’ve sent off and have asked me to review but I’ve still not got my results yet.

Not had any feedback or results after more than 4 weeks. Waiting for a response to my email. Now had email apology and offer of replacement kit so happier.

Ordered the Wisdom Panel Essential. Purchased through Amazon so delivery good. Sent the sample back on 17th Feb and waited. Nothing arrived by 23/3/2026. I sent a email to customer service, no reply so I contacted Amazon as I purchased it from them. They were most helpful and said give it another 5days and if no joy they would refund me.
Finally got a reply from Wisdom, not over helpful just asking for information that was in my first email to them.
I then decided to call them. I spoke to Kevin who was in Canada who finally found out it was lost in transit from the UK to Canada /USA.
He offered a replacement but after the problems I asked for a refund. This is now being processed.
Will wait and see.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received from Wisdom Panel. I paid for the premium kit (over £100), expecting a smooth and reliable process, but it has been anything but.

To begin with, my kit arrived without the return postage link, which I had to chase and resolve myself. I then sent my sample, which was confirmed as received at the UK facility on 23rd February. Four weeks later, after hearing nothing, I had to follow up for an update—only to be told that samples are then forwarded to America.

Today, I’ve been informed that my sample cannot be located at all. While I have been offered a replacement kit, this now means potentially waiting another four weeks for results, which is completely unacceptable given the time and money already invested.

I also enquired about compensation for the inconvenience and delay, but this has been ignored entirely.

Overall, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a premium service. I would not recommend based on my experience.

Easy to order and I was happy with the comprehensive results.

You advertise 2-3 weeks for the results. This is not true, after enquiring after 3 weeks I will as told it takes three weeks once the test has been received by the lab…… the lab is in USA and you only batch send test every Monday, and apparently the lab still hasn’t got my test after 4 weeks of it being sent !!

Great Customer Service. Really useful to know what our rescue DNA is so we could help adjust his food and understand his needs better. Was a complete surprise.

We have a rescue baby, and were just curious to see what she was, the process was so easy, test arrived within 3 days a x it only took two weeks to get the full results. Customer service was great, when I got confused about how to send it back my email was answered the next morning, and a follow up email to make sure I was able to do what I needed to do.

Absolutely Brilliant - The DNA kit came quickly and very clear instructions made it easy to use. Sent off in the envelope provided and results came back around 2 weeks later. The medical and trait information we received was unbelievable, but it also showed that our boy had fathered 5 pups, who were on the Wisdom Panel register.

Wisdom got it spot on with the DNA test.
Even down to sending a photo of one of his relatives.
It was like a double of our dog which, they had not seen.
I was dubious about these tests.
It is a costly procedure but well worth it.

Don’t get me wrong, it works, but after spending £50 on the kit it just constantly pushes you to ‘upgrade’ your kit to learn more about your dog. You don’t need to send any more swabs, meaning they already have all the info, you just have to pay double what you’ve already spent to find that out.

I hate this tactic by businesses. It feels like you’ve only got a demo of the product they’re selling and they use all the obvious tactics to try and persuade you, like ‘find out your dogs potential medical issues’ etc.

I’ve purchased seven Wisdom Panel DNA tests over the years, including the mother dog that I rescued from Costa Rica and her puppies that I had tested. I used Wisdom Panel repeatedly because I believed I was paying for lasting access to reliable results.

Recently, I discovered that Wisdom Panel permanently deleted older “legacy reports,” including the DNA results for one of my dogs who has since passed away. There was no clear, unavoidable warning and no meaningful opportunity to download or preserve the data before it was gone.

When I contacted the company, they hid behind their Terms & Conditions and said the report could not be restored. At the same time, they were still able to reference parts of the DNA data in writing. I could not get a response from a named representative, and my formal escalation was ignored.

I also have serious concerns about accuracy. The mother dog that I rescued and her puppies were tested — some were correctly identified as her offspring, but her son who is her identical twin was only identified as a close relative. I also had an older rescue retested three years later because the original results seemed highly questionable. The exact same report came back, which is difficult to reconcile given that the company claims its science and results are continually refined and updated.

Based on my experience, this company is not transparent, does not reliably preserve paid records, and does not inspire confidence in the accuracy of its results. Download your data immediately, and consider going elsewhere.

Excellent service prompt return the report told me exactly what I needed to know would definitely recommend wisdom panel.

The company kept in touch throughout the whole procedure which was good. The results were emailed to us before the time they stated originally . Brilliant to know the DNA makeup of our little dog.
