Not recommended

Spent a year studying their various courses (2024) in the hope of obtaining a job in the cyber industry.
Whilst I found their courses incredibly informative, the software/content was dated and glitchy.
Once I had completed the necessary modules I was then
'job ready'. I was excited to be invited by one of the WYWM recruiters to a 'Cyber Talent Showcase' (on teams) with potential employers in April 25. Unfortunately, it appears WYWM may have ceased UK based Cyber recruitment.
Not particularly Cyber but I've now also learnt what the term 'ghosted' means!! This was a huge surprise, the point of contact I had at WYWM was incredibly professional, personable and gave the impression she was keen for me to succeed. My emails to her and colleagues requesting any form of update have gone unanswered. No job and considerable dissapointment, much time wasted.
Based on my own experience (and the other reviews) I would not recommend using the services of WYWM.

I got hired as Data Analyst thanks to WYWM

My Journey to a Fulfilling Career in Tech

Fifteen years ago, as a child in Mexico, I learned English using Pearson books. Fast forward to today, I’m incredibly honored to have my success story as a Data Analyst shared by Pearson’s President, Vishaal Gupta. This journey has been nothing short of transformative, and it’s all thanks to the WithYouWithMe (WYWM) GED Tech Apprenticeship Program.

After earning my GED credential (High School Equivalency Diploma in the US), I was invited to study with WYWM. Given my previous certifications, I chose the Data Analyst Pathway, which proved both challenging and invaluable. The support and opportunities provided by WYWM have been instrumental in shaping my career.

Shortly after completing the program, I was invited to interview for a Data Analyst position at GED Testing Service (Pearson). After two interviews, I was hired in April 2024. Now, as I approach my six-month mark, I am thrilled to be part of such an amazing team that has supported me every step of the way. I was even invited to attend a conference in LA, with all expenses covered! My family's quality of life has improved significantly thanks to the increase in my income.

My wife has also started her journey to break into tech, and I’m confident she'll find a great opportunity soon. The impact WYWM has had on our lives is truly profound.

I’m also grateful to GED President Vicki Greene, who invited me to meet with Tom Moore 🏴‍☠️ to explore opportunities with WYWM less than a year ago. Thanks to her support and the efforts of everyone involved, I recently completed my 4 months mark as Jr. Data Analyst at GED. The warm welcome from each team member and the thorough training sessions prepared by my colleagues have made me feel truly valued.

If you're considering a career in technology, I highly recommend the WYWM GED Tech Apprenticeship Program.

Also feel free to reach out to me through LinkedIn if you have any questions, you can find me as Rogelio Conde

Thank you, WYWM, for your unwavering support. I look forward to creating opportunities for future apprentices in the GED Tech Apprenticeship program.

Dead in the water. Not what it used to be

I had followed withyouwithme since its beggining circa 2015-16. it was great for those veterans looking for civilian employment. They had veteran seminars and career expos. Whilst they went down the path to recruit neurodiverse, military spouses etc etc and then deployed their company overseas - the australian market was left behind, which in turn the prospects of career transition was bleak.

Each time I had a phone call with one of their recruitment members, I was fulfiled that I was on the right path again, till I followed up with them to find each member had either moved on or made redundant. I had applied for jobs with EY and IAG and heard nothing back. Not even a single phone call from the company. Emailed the recruitment team for them to say that they didnt even know what was going on.

Today, it is just dead. More research and development and articles on LinkedIn and nothing about posting jobs or careers.

Waste of time

Did all of the testing in order to get the job recommendations. Applied for one role. Got given an interview for another. I contacted them multiple times to try and figure out what was going on, but 10 days later no one was able to resolve the matter. I’ve given up trying and will find a new job elsewhere. What a waste of time.

Timewasters

Timewasters. Veterans should just avoid, they didn't turn up for an interview, late rang up and apologised arranged a new time. No surprise, they didn't turn up again.
No regard or respect for veterans.

Just another recruiting agency who play…

Just another recruiting agency who play the veterans/disability card to lure you in but won't deliver.
Awful interviewer who might as well of read his questions of abit of paper, which I'm sure he did.
Don't waste your time with these lot.
They don't actually care.

Free courses and maybe a job

I joined for the courses, not for the job seeking as I'm not convinced they can find jobs any better than I can with the resources and connections I have.
So this review is solely about the courses and I can say, they are a great way to get some certificates and skills officially on paper to pad out your resume if needed and they are free. The learning management system is fine, not too many issue and the course material is delivered in a straightforward manner.

Just another recruitment agency

Just another recruitment agency. Don't believe the lines about being different from recruitment agencies its just a nice marketing ploy much like they disgustingly target Veterans, Veterans Spouses and Neuro-Divergent. Good to get your foot in the door but don't expect anything else.

I'm a Vet, they helped me get my first IT job.

I Vet, they got me training, they got me a Job, and same with many others I know, is WYWM perfect No, but the website has improved leaps and bounds since I first looked at it 3 years ago. And the teams truly care about helping people who have never had a chance into the IT world.

It is a startup, with very noble goals.

Shameful.

Shameful.
After promises of work and support after watching the poor quality training videos, I was promptly ignored. The recruiters don't answer emails and absolute waste of time. Not sure what the scam is though, do they get money for "training" people?
Especially poor as they market themselves as looking after veterans.
Don't waste your time with them.
